I didn't think Mandarin was gonna recover from that start, whew...
Contrarily, Shock was killing it at the start then got walloped by that ball bearing
Me either! I was just certain he was going to get stuck on that first snow plow and never even hit the course!
It kinda feels like if Mandarin can get some space, he can run well…he seems to run into trouble whenever he gets bunched up with a bunch of marbles. Always seems to get pushed to the back of the pack in those bunch-ups…so it kinda seems like the bad start helped him a bit.
So cute to see Matteo and Elena celebrating their love in the stands!

Mandarin's second half was amazing!
For real! Dead last or second to last coming out of the snowplows. They flew threw the battering ram and the got by the ball bearing really fast too.
It took Mandarin a while to remember the object of the race is to go forward.
He was still tying his shoes when the race started. That's all.
Very good finish. Go Mandarin! Need another finish like this. But as @crimson90 suggests, this time finish tying your shoes BEFORE the start?

I was very worried when I saw Mandarin bounce repeatedly off the *first* block. But then they turned on the jets and zipped through the other obstacles. Well done, Mandarin! GOOOOOO'Rangers!

Yeah, Rezzy with 2 podiums this week! Looking solid.
Let's be honest, Rezzy should've breezed to a first place finish, if they don't miss that opening before the ball bearing.
I think Rezzy or Saucer is most likely to win it all, although there are no guarantees especially as the field shrinks each week.
Rezzy really highlighted the importance of yesterdays 5 point finish today with another solid haul!

As they progress, fewer points overall are available; consistent strong results are critical!
A rough start, but otherwise a pretty solid performance.
The comment last week about middle of the pack finishes not being enough anymore is even more true with each passing week. With three fifth place finishes in the opening four races this week, it feels like Mellow Yellow should be safe, but they are still bang in trouble this week with almost half the field.
Sea had entered concussion protocol after getting their bell rung.

At this point in the tournament there is almost no safety, a team can go from first to last to first to last in 4 races

I honestly thought that Mandarin had binned it because of the start, but man, they actually finished in a decent position. If only they can do this more often.
Can't believe we're this far in and THREE of my favorite teams are still in it. At this point there's a good chance at least one of them will make it to the end, but I'm happy to have just made it this far.

M-Tron 2000 has the following odds of elimination after the next three races:
Indigo Stars: 66%
Limers: 49%
Bumblebees: 33%
Jungle Jumpers: 18%
O'rangers: 13%
Mellow Yellow: 12%
Oceanics: 3.2%
Thunderbolts: 2.3%
Team Primary: 1.8%
Raspberry Racers: 0.71%
M-Tron 2000 simulates the remaining races in the week 1 million times to count how many times each team is eliminated.
Race ending order is random, though cumulative points are taken into account. For each race, a team gets one ticket for each point they have earned in all previous races. All tickets are put in a hat, and one ticket is drawn for first place. That team is assigned first and the rest of their tickets removed. Repeat for second, etc.
There is a 50% chance that last place will DNF. If that happens, there is a 50% chance that second to last place will DNF, and so on.
The percentages describe the percent of simulations the team ended up eliminated. Probabilities below 0.1% are not shown.
My quick math says 46 points is the Safe score
Mellow Yellow and Orangers have the same score so how does Orangers have 13% chance while Mellow Yellow has 12%?

They took a very similar path as yesterday's, but everything hinges on running the gauntlet of those two long yellow slides and the giant ball bearings that guard the door. Yesterday they slipped right on through, but not today. Nuts!
Jeez I thought Mandarin was gonna finish last or something after bouncing backwards so many times at the start!
I was terrified he was going to completely lose momentum and never even get ON the field. Whew!
Bonbon really has this "Start slow and capitalise early with a strong recovery" worked out on this track!

I swear... I tell Mandy to stop showboating off the obstacles after the last race's last place finish and in the next race they ramp off the snowplow five or six times out of spite.
You make it tough to be an Oranger sometimes Mandarin.
It’s crazy how an orange marble can give me so many different emotions.
A team really shouldn't get stuck on a "hair trigger" of all things. Those triggers either need to be more sensitive, or else the teams need the opportunity to build up momentum to trigger the trap.
Diego simply made a mistake, misjudged the line and paid a hefty price for it. Has happened to many a marble these past 74 days. There have been much more unfair obstacles in past weeks imo.
what happened to slimeline? running in third completely fine, then somehow disappears near the battering ram. then suddenly appears again in last. he wasn't shown getting hit, so where did he go?
Slimelime was PAST the battering ram when it triggered. There is a whole section between the battering Ram and the chaos tubes that either the camera ops or the editors decided we didn’t need to see, but that is where Slimelime dropped from 3rd to 11th. Very frustrating as a Limers fan to not even get to see what happened. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING FROM US?

THIS IS THE BEST WEEK EVER!!! Bonbon is demonstrating consistency and excellence throughout this entire week! Throughout all four races Bonbon has not placed below 5th! Fantastic racing! My backup team Purple Rockets are also doing really well, with them being tied with Chocolatiers for first! However, their fellow purple space team Indigo Stars are not doing so well, that DNF must've been heartbreaking for them. I wish them the best.

We definitely need a view of whatever that red thing is between the battering ram at 1:19 and the ball bearings at 1:22, because it's definitely having a huge effect on the order of the marbles passing through it.
Yo what happened to Limers? looked like one of the first going in and out of the battering ram, then last to come out in the next shot...?
I was confused as well, there seems to be an area between the battering ram and next shot that must have caused Slimelime to fall back... would've liked to see that, the camera coverage failed us there.

What a race by Mandarin
Shock has really been bringing it this week. Either fighting at the front, or overextending and getting kicked to the back. I don't think she thought at first that she was going to get this far in the competition, but now is starting to really go all in and fight for it. Hopefully the rest of this week goes more like days 1 and 3 and less like days 2 and 4 for her.
Hoping Diego can recover from that DNF. Six points to safety doesn't sound like much, and it wouldn't have been a few weeks ago, but it's starting to get pretty difficult to make up that kind of ground now that there's only 12 marbles left in the competition.

Swax tho still has problem with the course or at least with the middle section in feels like. I mean Swax was better than Slimeline and so again out of elimination but also…. Not the slightest out of danger. GO SWAX! Three races to go, I know you can do it!

Mandarin scared me when he got caught up right out of the gate. I got a flashback of Momomo, but managed to get ahead and then FLEW through!. GOOOO BONBON!! Swax, you can do it!

Shock has been shockingly inconsistent. This wasn't a result of getting banged around by the bell carousel, since Shock was trailing by then anyway. The apparent strategy has been to take a bit of a rest one race to go all out in the next, but that's a dangerous way to go. It might take just one failure in a race where you're supposed to do well to end up near the elimination zone.
