It’s INSANE that this great Monorail does NOT connect to the airport, and I certainly hope the City/region is intelligent enough to connect it to the airport and Brightline HSR in the very near future!!!
Hi Russ! From what I was told, the city got a lot of backlash from local cab drivers when the idea was proposed to connect the monorail to the airport. This was pre-ride sharing. I believe there was an agreement that it wouldn't connect to the airport. That being said, it should connect to the airport.

Can we purchase a 24 hour pass on our phone a few days before our trip but not activate it until we're ready to use it?
Yep. It will ask you when you would like to have it active. You can set it for when you will be there.
