Maybe this will help:
1. The video represents a contemporary Garden of Eden.
2. Adele mirroring herself at the beginning, representing her duality. She's fighting herself and doesn't know yet how to overcome the failing marriage.
3. The apple is a symbol of knowledge and temptation (reinforced by her singing 'I know that is wrong, but I want to have fun') 4. The chair represents the relationship that she's had with her ex husband. Her marriage is all over the place: the chairs are either on the ground, smashed, or gathered up in a big pile. She's clearly struggling to hold everything together while the chaos unravels behind her.
5. At one point, Adele sings 'I won't leave myself behind' while a boy plays in the background which might symbolise her desire to keep a strong relationship with herself and her son Angelo, despite her marriage breaking down.
6. There's a girl on the floor with a pen and a piece of paper which might represent how Adele managed to survive writing this album.
7. the man at 2:06 which resembles an angel with a halo above his head.
8. there's a snake at 1:57. Just like the serpent in Genesis.
9. the dancers might symbolise chaos and life at the same time. Adele ignores them until the very end as she's too caught in her own inner battle (as the verse says: she is 'teetering on the edge of Heaven and Hell' and realises that there's no point in fighting this battle)
10. In another scene (towards the end of the video) we see a girl picking daisy petals and a black horse behind her. Might mean that even though love is unsteady, she is still in control of her life.
11. Of course, the chair on fire is Adele letting go of her past.
12. Adele biting the apple is her embracing the knowledge that she's gained in the past years and moving on. (just like Eve)

I'm not a singer, so I appreciate explaining why it's hard to sing.
She sings about how hard it was for her to start dating someone after her anxiety. The video shows her anxiety, Heaven and hell, The fear of starting something new. In the end she decided. The chaos that is happening behind is all that she felt at that moment. And dating in LA is also chaotic

@@HonestVocalCoach I thought the same but, ther we was an exerpt released to Twitter by a producer who said she done them all in one take. It's a rare feat that very few can achieve, just as Celine Dion recorded My Heart Will Go On in one take.

@@HonestVocalCoach I think they meant to say that she recorded them all as demos. Adele said in a recent interview that she never re-records her songs after the demo process. She states there is a "Feeling of Urgency" you get with recording a demo, and you lose that when you re-record to perfect things. I think she said all her albums are done that way.

I have watched several more since.
I loved to sing, but have no music theory, have never played an instrument, and have no vocal training (so I don't know what I'm doing)
I decided, late last winter to try to learn more, and improve whatever singing ability I did possess, by joining an early music choir (Melos Choir and Period Instruments) here in Canada with whom My Sweetie has been singing for over a decade.
It is conducted by a wonderful lady who also happens to be a vocal coach and who, every now and then will take me aside for a little one-on-one session (as she sees I am eager).
The improvement in my voice has been noticeable, even in this short amount of time, and for our most recent Advent / Christmas concert, she took a chance on me by giving me a highlight duet moment with a full verse of 'Miri It Is'.
I was **very** nervous but, I practised a lot, and it seems I did well enough on the night to meet her standards.
The comments on technique you make in your clips (like from where the voice is coming from) have been helpful to my progress, so I guess I'm sending you a little thank you as well.

I really enjoy watching you enjoying videos like this, AND adding the breakdown of the vocals. It's so informative. With a title like "Oh My God", how could the apple and snake not represent the Garden of Eden? Then there are two people rolling around on a bed (Adam and Eve). Is the burning chair the burning bush? Look at that one dress she's wearing that looks very much like a nun or cleric with the 50's bob and the white neck piece and chains. Talk about representational art that mixes contemporary themes with the classic. This is quite extraordinary. And I didn't even comment on the vocals, lyrics or interesting rhythm. Wow! Keep up the great work!!

Love this video of Adele, it simplistic, elegant with hidden messages. I'm assuming her eating the apple and the snake represents Adam and Eve, she's tempted to the change ( her new love interest) but maybe scared of the repercussions.

Lot's of religious imagery in this. Probably because she is implying that what she wants is sinful. You see the apple of knowledge, the snake, she is wearing papal inspired clothing.
I feel like her videos have yet to reach the creative heights of the greats. Her videos don't interest me or excite me the way a Madonna or Beyoncé video does. And I'm not talking about being able to dance. Lose the gowns when you're going to have fun. The dancing doesn't go with the beat.
