    you have to calculate Zpy along y axis by using the concept sumation of AY .
    Zpy = Iyy * shape factor is that correct ?????

      yeah, i was also thinking the same. and it is satisfactorily enough as it doesnot fails during check for combined bending. so ig it is safe to use safe factor. why to do more while we can short out easily?

      Hello dear,
      Your question will be clear form the diagram of a roof truss.
      And for that i need to add a video about it or u can consult some book like s.s. bhabikatti.Choice is yours if you want me add a video then let me Know by replying this comment.
      And i would like to thank for your comment.

      hi, 1.8 is there because of spacing of purlin is 1.8Meters. it should be multiplied to gain the parameter in KN/m.

    Sir if any check is not satisfied do we need to redo then What section want to choose

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  4 года назад

      Hello dear,
      U need to redesign the section only if your section fails at the beginning of the solution of the Numerical from the exam point of view. Otherwise you can mention that "the section fails and we need to redesign taking another section" if it fails at end..
      And as far check is considered " one can mention that the given section fail here".

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  4 года назад

      DCS and DSS are design subjects and one just needs to know the proper steps to design a section for exam.
      And one becomes best in selecting the proper sections through practice.
      The more you practice the more u learn.
      Now a days all sections are designed through different softwares like ETAAB, STADD PRO.
      Where there is need to do so much lengthy calculations nor to apply checks. One just need to enter the data and the section is designed by the software.
      So don't worry just prepare well for your exam.
      Best of luck.

    When finding the load due to sheets and the live load it is not necessary to multiply by one (×1m) because (0.5kN/m² x 1.8m) will give =>900N/m.......multiplying by one (×1m) wasn't necessary......please check through your work again

    Sir what if pitch is given as 1/4 and angle is not given

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  4 года назад +1

      Hello dear,
      When angle is not given then use the formula
      Tanx=(height of truss/half of span of truss)
      Or,
      U can watch my video on the design of channel section where i have mentioned this formula in the description go and check it out.
      Thanks for ur comment.

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  4 года назад +1

      We have a formula i.e.
      Pitch(p)=height(h)/span(L)
      Or,
      Take assumption as x less than or equal to 60.
      For making the design economical value of x is taken between (20 to 30) degree.

      There is another question sir
      If only dead load is given
      Do we need to calculate the factored load?

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  3 года назад +1

      Yes if we are provided with dead load only then we have to take live load load 100N/m and wind load will be given in the question. And after taking all those loads we need to multiply those loads by factor of safety as shown in the following video. And after doing so we proceed our solution.
      Hope i met your confusion.
      Have a nice day.
