9:23 Correction: magnetic rock doesn’t deal damage by itself. It’s only activating unstable grounds to deal damage. It’s a test server, so it might not deal damage yet, but that is still weird… (Also I apologize for grammar and spelling mistakes in text, I was trying to upload it as fast as possible, next time I’ll double check the footage before publishing 🥴)
I'm literally so scared of him AND excited right now and he's not even out LOL 😭. I wonder how the hell we're gonna be able to kite him, but there's surely a way he actually doesn't seem impossible to deal with (*cough* Sangria *cough*). I also think he's gonna be in the meta very soon
He is a solid A tier, not an absolute beast like Dream Witch and Mad Eyes and not broken like Sangria (she would an s tier but ATM her abilities are all wrong and busted). You need to look back and not hug walls. Bait axe throw, give preference to broken windows instead of FW since he is useless in open spaces. Pay attention to where you walk and abuse shadow gaps.
@@SethUnwell Yes I would definitely rank him in A tier too. Seriously they need to rework Sangria's kit MAKE IT ACTUALLY FAIR it's too freaking goated to be real. I also thought of the same strategy! Avoiding walls will be key for sure, keeping an eye on him with the camera (so kinda like Naiad right?) Thanks for the additional tips!
@@assiaelmabrouki5552 I'm happy to have helped! About sangria, absolutely. Yes, her speed is busted and crazy, but I don't think that they key to balancing her is nerfing it. I'd say that they should give her a speed boost every 3 shadow leaps, instead of every single shadow leap, remove teleport from 0 presence, instead give it as her full presence and the cloth throw keep as is (first presence) or switch those around (some people say that the cloth is better than teleport, and although i disagree, i can see their point) that way she'd be weaker on early game, pick up pace on mid game and be powerful endgame, but have good space for counterplay and allow survivors to actually play the game.
@@SethUnwell Exactly! The true problem with Sangria as you pointed out is that she basically has EVERYTHING she needs at the start of the match. The Shadow leaps and the teleport is already like half of her presence! She is just too strong in early game already a disadvantage to Survivors. Yes maybe they should just rearrange her skills in a proper way, shadow dance should be unlocked as her final presence imo, the cloth throw can be dealt with. I'm just getting tired of NE creating absolutely goated hunters and thinking they are actually balanced for practice.
@@assiaelmabrouki5552 YES! You put into words what I never could! She has way too much for absolutely free, she basically already has her whole kit at 0 presence, and it is way too much, just like having a full presence Gala at the beginning of the game, and just bust her even more as the game continues. Even tho her statues are ez to dodge, it'd be unfair for survivors to go against something so strong right off the bat. NW imo is ok, even tho he has a lot in his kit, he can't just get his charges for free, he has a decent CD for them, but sangria has everything handed to her from the very beginning, AND NO CD just to top it all off 😒
he actually seems quite bad ngl, there’s a lot of factors that are against him and BonBon + Sculptor will just outperform him, because his early game chase will be awful and the dash isn’t really good for chasing, only for map traversal, this guy def needs insolence, which is not very good because you’ll be losing out on trump card. He’s def never getting picked in tournaments ngl.
Bon Bon is more good at camping yet worse then Norton on kiting while only an experienced sculptor can out perform Norton. I think this new Hunter outperforms sculptor in blocking off tight kites on the fly while also being able to attack without having to worry much about the aiming sense he can still attack while using his skill.
It's all about the skills of the player hahaha prob you aren't good at using him yet, like how I'm awesome using Hastur an nightmare but suck at other hunters
Ohhhh I get it now, I thought he'll deal damage even if a structure doesn't have ruptures.. interesting. So he'll have to pull the pickaxe at low presence, but at max you can immediately deal damage by throwing at walls even without ruptures
0:22 I fr don't understand the difficulty Levels in IDV. Like, Jack has 1/3 and Antiquarian as freakin 3/3. It's not about how difficult the Character is to *play* and win as, like it should be. It's just about how difficult the skills are to understand on paper which makes no sense imo, why even have a difficulty Lvl then? Also the diagram looks yet again like random stuff just put together, NE should just remove it
i think the difficulty relate to how much button/skills we have to use on that character. like jack you literally just have to tap one button - his normal attack, so he’s 1/3
Casually dashing 60 meters with basically just a bit more than a 3 second cooldown. Thats very strong... Also is there a specific time for how long before the purple area disappears? Plus i dont think retrieving the pickaxe with the dash to deal damage is the best especially in closer or mid ranges because it has the dash animation before it starts the "getting the pickaxe back animation", which means there is more delay, plus it looks like if you dash to retrieve the pickaxe it wont let you move when playing the "getting the pickaxe back animation" unlike how you can do it normally, which may be worse especially in tight and closer spaces.
Transitional kiting can counter him, but at least he got the speed to reach other place and try the next hit! Edit: I've been using him the last 4 days, and the transitional kiting+toy merchant or flying creatures are for sure my nightmare...
