Nintendo actually took another stab at cereal in 2017 with the release of Super Mario Odyssey. I remember people went crazy for the cereal and even tried to scalp it for high prices

Bores is actually a lot better when he's not using the tired "angry gamer" schtick. I came to watch this video because I hate your old stuff (anger is my muse, I like to get angry, to any commenters who felt the need to ask) but I was suprised to find...Some decent nostalgia-fueled entertainment.
He's ironed out his flaws and has developed into a worthwhile content creator in his own right. It's the mark of a good creator to keep the things about your content that work and minimize the things that didn't work as you grow and keep going. Just goes to show that you can win people over with the right attitude.
I’m new to him as well, as a fan. Was always an AVGN guy. I really enjoy Chris’ content. Hope he sticks around.
@@MegaMitchZero He was legit the WORST. I would watch his old videos to laugh at what a bad AVGN ripoff he was. It wasn't real, and this video has a lot more 'real' going for it. I'd dare call myself a new fan turned from the trollbase, if he keeps this up.

I haven't watched Irate game in probably 10 years. Someone told me about the AVGN crossover, so I decided to come take a peek and this was a fantastic video! I don't remember IG being this great 10 years ago! Mad props to making an excellent and funny video!

Nerds cereal was the first to have two types of cereal in one box in their own packaging. They even had a special bowl you could buy where you would put each type of cereal in their half a bowl and could remove the middle barrier to combine and mix the 2 portions of cereal together.
... so ya I guess the Nerd(c) was first here as well. (Sorry Chris, I couldn’t help myself.) :-)

You've really improved since your break! Not going to lie, the last season of Irate Gamer (as in, the one from four years ago), while it was alright, was starting to lose it's charm. But since returning in the past few months, you've made an incredible self-aware return with the first episode, a long awaited collaboration the fans thought would never happen (with the implication of more to come) and a return of the breakfast rants with the Irate Gamer memes that fans and haters alike know and endearingly repeat. Face it! This channel is saved!

I remember all the cereals tmnt was my favorite tasting cereal. Remade it combining lucky charms + life cinnamon.

Ralston Purina was sold to Nestle and General Mills, even Disney has branded cereals. Kellogg’s has made Super Mario themed cereal, but wish they made a retro version of Mario and Zelda in the same cereal box. Unless, breakfast is ruined!
Matt R Maybe General Mills will bring back the Ralston label but as a retro label for cereals!
Lavon Media I don’t think they want to with Ralston, General Mills is much bigger brand, they would just do a cross promotion with Nintendo or other media companies like Ghostbusters did with Hi-C.

Actually the Ralston part of the company still exists as a separate entity. They make generic cereals that market to the lower level markets. General Mills only bought the rights Chex Cereal off them in 96. "They could've bought another brand off them too but Chex was the big one." The Purina part however yes was bought by Nestle. They still make the insane varieties of chow based pet foods I believe to this day.
Larry Laffer so Ralston is just a shell company that makes generic brand food products. Because they long abandoned cartoon themed cereals in the 90s since they sold most of their business to General Mills.
Glad to to see you're alive and active Chris, been your fan since...let's say 2010. Your videos have quite good CG effects, although sometimes could use more refined lines. My favorite ones are mini-series of I Rate 80's and History of Video Game, also the reviews of Contra games.

I usually ate the Batman cereal or the monster cereals. Oddly enough, I also loved Banana Nut Crunch. Couldn’t tell you the last time I ate cereal.

I grew up at the same time as you did and I know there is much more to talk about and it has not all been done yet. Ralston Purina actually did the 2-cereals-in-1 thing with "Nerds Cereal" before they did Nintendo Cereal System. Nerds Cereal was amazing too. I miss it.
They actually made all the best cereals in the world in the 80's and early 90's. Most of my favorite childhood cereals were Ralston. Cookie Crisp was a noticeably much better cereal in its original incarnation by them. The current version made by General Mills is just a crappy imitation.

It came in two sealed cereal bags originally. Not ziplock ones. The berry cereal was actually pretty good. The fruity one, not so much. No way I was gonna tell my mom that though.
Also, I totally learned the small fire Mario trick from that card. I was like 9 yrears old and getting it to work at the time was tedious AF!
Do you remember the Bill & Ted cereal? When I got it from a discount store, each box came with a phone booth toy. I think there were other toys, but not at that store. I ended up with like ten of those phone booths. You could open them and put stuff inside.
