My little brother bought one of these and wasn't very impressed by the accuracy or power, so I modded it for him. After removing the air restrictor and stretching the spring, it shot pretty well. My perspective is that this is a great gun for the price. -tacticool
I get why they took out the top rail, but I’m really surprised that they took off the bottom rail. Even though it isn’t a big deal to some nerfers the bottom rail is great to be used for tacticiool stuff, or just to install a worker pump grip, by taking out the rail they completely stop the modding ability of this blaster. I’ll just stick with the retaliator.
Cachaça Meu Veio I mean it's up there with the spectre in terms of being flimsy as all hell! It's a nice stock but if you put it against just about anything else, even against the raider stock which was out at the same time it's so very Meh

According to me if they had just upgraded the spring, added the ridge on the priming handle, and added slamfire, a lot of people would have bought the retaliator over other blasters
Nerf need a classic range where they bring back old blasters like the recon , night finder etc but with better internals i haven't bought nerf in years but i would buy a recon for the hell of it so i can have something from my childhood again lol

honestly it looks like a pretty unique blaster, however with the retaliator the bottom barrel rail was essentially useless for any form of useful attachment due to the fact that you were priming it from the top of the blaster, making a fore grip pointless, so the form factor of the Delta trooper makes sense. I like the fact there is slam fire, and the fact that you could make it compact by removing the barrel and the stock you essentially have a compact alpha trooper pistol, which would be a nice secondary or a pseudo primary blaster to fit that niche in between role of primary and secondary.
My first was a yellow N-Strike Maverick that is absolutely trash now. I already took out the air restrictor, and will probably put a new spring in it and paint it cuz I don’t like the yellow color scheme.

The other day my dad and I tried modding a nerf gun for the first time. We put a 12kg spring in our Delta Trooper. It shot super far and was generally insane for about two days, then it broke.
Personally, I have no problems with the removed rails. I prefer the angled grips like in the Infinus, Desolator and even in the Double Dealer's pump handguard. Gripping by the magazine is far more natural because it provide a large and comfortable gripping surface. Also it has the perfect angle so it don't feel like you are getting your hand chopped. For the slide, I am happy they added a hand stop. Your hand stay on the slide and don't go off. However, my biggest concern is ... modding. Sure they do look similar but the question still remain: Are the modding parts cross-compatible ? I am sceptic because my first modding experience was with a Sergeant Jyn Erso Blaster. Altought similar to a Stryfe or Desolator, none of the parts are cross-compatible. I am modding my Retaliator rn but I would stick to it because I know it's a sure value for modding. Almost every single mod parts for springers are deisgned for the retaliator so I can simply go ahead and mod. The Delta Trooper, however, will have to make his proofs in front of me.
Slam fire may not be very functional but it’s still nice they added that. It definitely was a lacking feature on the old Ret. At least because it makes the blaster more idiot-proof. I had a Retaliator and... I broke it by priming it way too fast. The priming lock broke and it locked up in the primed-back position. The lock’s been removed but that “stress-testing” tortured the plunger mechanism. It’s leaking somewhere I suppose
Just got it, first one I bought, then bought 15 more lol. Still one of my favorite, love the grips and I find it being kinda really accurate for what this is. PLEASE do a mod video of it

I have a Delta trooper and it works really well. I would say that the rail that was taken off of the priming mech was a great choice. The choice to take the rail on the bottom of the barrel was a “meh”.
you don't put your hand at the bottom if you don't need to, like when slam-firing. but if you don't need to shoot you rest your hand there, at the bottom

As somebody who ran a Recon, Retaliator, and Retaliator Mk 2 forever, I am so glad they got rid of the charging handle tac rail. Couldn't use it, anyway. The accessories would fly off or be in the way. Good call, Hasbro.
INSY KURTIS Depends. If you want a pistol-esque springer, Delta might be more up your alley. If you want a longer blaster, I'd say the Alpha for sure since it has a shotgun-like pump.
Accuracy? Putting a barrel ,from what i observed, slightly increases accuracy but there is a point when the barrel gets too long that it decreases accuracy
This gun looks like a cheap version of Nerf like those Starwars series as I think Nerf has come a long way in making guns. They have moved from small pistols to making big guns and even technologically advanced systems like rocket launchers and the recently release electronic magazine loading system that looks so big and realistic. So now when we get a slim blaster it really looks horrible
From the review I thing the rail underneath COULD have stayed. but I think it's gone for the following reason what it looks like to me is that they focus-grouped people firing the retaliator and noticed the way people would hold the blaster and move their hands. to explain I think most people hold it from the bottom (On that triangle bit where the hand is supposed to rest) then whip it up to prime the blaster then whip it back down. with the redesign of the priming handle to have the lip at the back as a sort of catch this is apparent. So the removal of the bottom rail and slimming that down makes sense to give it an ergo-friendly design.

From the review I thing the rail underneath COULD have stayed. but I think it's gone for the following reason
what it looks like to me is that they focus-grouped people firing the retaliator and noticed the way people would hold the blaster and move their hands.
to explain I think most people hold it from the bottom (On that triangle bit where the hand is supposed to rest) then whip it up to prime the blaster then whip it back down. with the redesign of the priming handle to have the lip at the back as a sort of catch this is apparent. So the removal of the bottom rail and slimming that down makes sense to give it an ergo-friendly design.
4:04 it almost looks like the blaster and the darts are the only things with color plus the pillows and blanket
