I feel like it was faster because it measured within the barrel, the other chrono measured after the dart was loosing velocity
Tym ToyFun egg
the magic mango this is assuming both chronograph measure the exact same velocity, which is highly unlikely.
Yeee
@Engeke yeah the good chrono is about a foot away from the end, this is about an inch or two

I think your main Chrono and the barrel Chrono get little different readings because the dart travels farther and will slow down a bit more by the time it's out of the barrel and into your main Chrono.
just as I was thinking
I came to the same conclusion.

it measures higher because the 150$ cronograph is further away, and the air friction is enough to slow it down 2 fps in that space with that speed

Same
It looks like a exact copy kinda.
Exactly
I think the chronobarrel has a higher FPS because it’s attached to the nerf blaster and so it directly takes the initial velocity compared to the chronograph which probably has a bit of a distance from the blaster.
I know it's a general use of the word velocity, but chronograph readings measure speed not velocity. Speed is a scalar and velocity is a vector, so unless it specifies the direction its not a velocity
@@spartangaming3569 yeah the chrono measures the velocity of the dart firing out, not in
direction much?
@@wongyewxuan3880 velocity is both speed an direction, so unless the chrono gives a direction aswell it only shows you speed
@@spartangaming3569 the direction is forward (duh)
who knows
if you fire a dart into it backwards maybe it would be negative
@@wongyewxuan3880 that's not the point, it still doesn't give a direction thus it doesn't give a vector, only a scalar which is speed

Good times.
Ya know seeing the modulus series expand so well is awesome but if there was a fast firing full full auto clip fed pistol (clip fed for holstering reasons) that looks and fires like some kind of mini smg it would make the nerf community very hyped
6:05 the Chrono barrel might read slightly higher because it is closer to the initial fire point, the dart would probably be slightly faster because it has had less time to lose speed due to air resistance.

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
The fact that the chronobarrel counts the amount of darts in the blaster remind me of the halo assault rifle
8:15 Uh, foreshadowing the future?
The difference in chrono readings might be due to the fact that the barrel of the extension is a small-bore barrel, which can cause drag on the dart. Because the built-in chronograph comes at the start of the barrel and Coop's chronograph comes after that barrel, the dart could be slowing down in between the two devices because of that small-bore internal barrel.
He used the delta trooper but he did not do a review
It takes time to edit and stuff
He will do a review for the delta trooper

@@Coop772 bro can you upload a video of nerf combos for the mega mastodon it has tac rails
Differences of the two chronograph devices is probably the location of the two, seeing as one is closer to the actual point of launch and the other is further away. The dart is also undergoing friction in the barrel, but is also undergoing some air resistance by the time it crosses the table chronograph.

Well, I would like to point out that the Barrel Attachment has a distinct advantage over the regular chronograph: The barrel attachment is reading the FPS directly AT the barrel while the Chronograph reads it shortly there-after. That could explain in the difference (if minuscule) in speed.
If they put another male barrel lug
at the front they could have hooked up like 20 chrono barrels so you can measure the initial velocity and the velocity at ______ feet away!!
Am I the only one that realized coop review because he didn’t complain about a grip or anything else it was super positive I am almost convinced this is a different channel😀
Please put the Chronobarrel on a modified >100fps blaster and demonstrate the limitations of it in that application.

The chronograph is 5 FPS higher only because when the dart goes through your crono the dart has already lost momentum but when it goes through the attachment it still has high momentum.

Woah Coop predicted himself gaining weight!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed lmfao
The chrono-barrel reading higher is due to the fact that it’s right on the barrel, reading the darts the second they’re fired. Your proper chronograph is a few inches away from the blaster, allowing the dart a very very small window to lose some velocity. It’s slight, but it’s apparent.
Actually, it makes sense that the nerf Chronobarrel reads higher because it is closer to the barrel :) Great review by the way!
Exactly my thought. I think he should have tried comparing with and without the barrel, because the muzzle looks quite tight!
This is only $7.82 on Amazon right now. Talk about a no brainer purchase.
Sorry, I have a brain and am now unable to purchase it.

Nerf prob made it read the dart speed a bit faster to make their products seem better
Mullet Moore Illuminati confirmed
Mullet Moore The short distance between the barrel and his graph most likely causes it. And why would they do that if they only do 5 units better? If his was 60, and Nerf’s was 110, then I’d understand, but 5 units? Really?
The difference in muzzle velocity given can be explained by the barrel measuring immediately while the chronograph taking a delay in recording

James Derrick damn aight thx man
The NERF one measures faster because you’re placing the big chronograph in front of the NERF one. The NERF one senses it right out of the barrel, and it takes some time to reach the big one. In the time it takes to get to the big one, the dart slowed down by around 1-4 mph.
coop ur the best nice video and for once i got this before your review haha
Coop it’s just the velocity measured at less than 6 inches right after the propulsion. Your crono measures over a foot after it leaves the barrel.

die difference in the chrono-readings comes from the difference of how the measurements are done. the chrono-barrel has just a single point and measures how long the darts need to go past that. the big chronograph measures, how long it takes the dart to go from point A to point B. but since darts ar what they are, the loose speed on that way. and secondly, the chrono-barrel adds lenght to the blaster, so the dart also looses speed whil traveling through the chronobarrel to point A from the big chrony.
8:15 foreshadowing... LOL

A mega bigshock is a jolt reskin. (I know everything is a jolt reskin) but if u screw the outside off, it exposes the inside. U see the shooting mechanism is a jolt!

@Caleb Kim ...
It's called the metric system, everywhere uses it except the US and a few other countries. I'd suggest learning it seeing as though it is easy to understand.
Millimetres - Centimetres
10mm = 1cm
Centimetres - Metres
100cm = 1m
Metres - Kilometres
1000m = 1km
To put it into perspective:
1 inch = 2.54cm
1 foot = 30.48cm
1 mile = 1.60934km

seeing that the Chronobarrel is a barrel attachment even though it's short it's effecting the dart before it reaches your usual chronograph while the Chronobarrel measures the speed directly from the blaster. so if you should compare the Chronobarrel to the actual chronograph you should remove the attachment and fire with a "bare" stryfe or what ever blaster you decide to test them with.
TACTICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
coop the barrel measures at a higher velocity because the dart shoots through that first then slows down by the time it hits your high money cost thing
Just to be ⓒⓛⓔⓐⓡ these are sold separately😎😎😎
It makes sense that the ChronoBarrel measures a higher FPS than your chronograph, though, because the Chronobarrel is integrated directly into the barrel whereas you chronograph measures the dart's velocity slightly after once it has already begun to slow down.
why did they include darts with this 😂😂😂
Davis I had to go back and look. Lol. What was going through Hasbro’s mind. Maybe they thought, if you are buying a barrel, you probably have a nerf gun.
Probably just a sneaky way to get more money out of it
Davis because it’s best to use brand new darts
You can use those darts as your control sample. Smart move on their part.
To throw through it
The problem is the dart will always hit the edge of the barrel before it flies out of the barrel meaning that the external chronograph will always measure a lower FPS than the barrel which is measuring straight out of the chamber
“I haven’t quite figured out what Meters is”
-do you even Australian measurement correctly bro?

He used to always say that conversions are for nerds lol
This is easily the best thing nerf has ever produced in its stock form, but I really would have liked to see if it read 100 FPS shots accurately to see if it wasn’t just randomly reading FPS’s around 70 for marketing, but the ammo counter is definitely real so I don’t mind it anyway
8:17 that aged well
i wasn't going to comment this so I was looking for someone who did
I wanted to thank you coop. Thank you for inspiring me to come back to nerf
The thing is that since it's a barrel attachment that might add drag it will probably make the dart come out slower since it passes through the barrel after being photographed
The chronobarrel probably measures more fps, because it measures the velocity RIGHT out of the barrel, where it has full speed. Your chrono measurer is measuring darts farther away from the barrel, where the darts are slower.
Hi, Coop772 here for Chronobarrel clear, that's clearly the best way to chronograph fast!
You also have to think about th distance between the reader on the chronobarrel and the standing Chronograph. There's still a bit of distance, so that five foot per second drop is expected.
