But that does not only apply to you, but to me as well and to most people below DMG, we all have bad games in which we don't even realize how badly we play.

Yep, it used to happen a LOT with me, whenever there'd be a smoke/mollie thrown right in front of me. As playtime increased, I got, like an intuitive sense of how much can you push without messing up your entire team's game, and/or how much advantage can I get by pushing through and/or smoking off the mollie.
Yup! More of these vid! It's always nice content to show to my silver-gold'ish team, demonstrating how players of ranks that we cannot pronounce would sometimes play worse than what we play on average. Those are the rounds where the silvers can score a round against them. A smart player always plays his cards right. The difference between an experienced player and newbie is that the newbie has fewer cards in his deck - but he might be playing them better.
I am very lucky to have skilled friends that are willing to comp with me. Also, I ask a lot of questions. Now if only I can get my "un-friendly fire" under control.
You know what, even tho I knew all this stuff already, I've been struggling lately with this exact type of situations, almost doing nothing, and then peeking the wrong angle and dying. You made me see my mistakes and how I can improve them. Thank you WarOwl, because without your videos, I wouldn't have learned this many things about cs. love these matchmaking academy videos. Yours is the first channel I started watching that got me into counterstrike, and it was these kinds of videos (how to aim, how to spray, how to move, baby's first rotate) that really drew me in. I still love watching breakdowns like this, even for basic stuff. Would love to see more of it!

Actually nvm women don’t really serve in combat positions so the game is accurate in that sense. Still though, Israel would never send support packages.
@Sıradan İnsan Good point, actually, since the Elite Crew seem to want to liberate Morroco, it's here where the game starts losing sense though, since the IDF are defending Morroco, for some reason, and the relationship between Israel and Morroco is supposed to be "secret", Morroco doesn't even officialy recognize Israel as a state. If Dust 2 was located in Israel, then it would be more reasonable, but later they wind up attacking Morroco in Mirage, causing the SAS to help them out, this would make the Elite Crew look even worse than ISIS. Doesn't help that the IDF are cold about it, since they just say "Take them out". Overall, the lore is a mess, i dunno why the IDF would be protecting something they apparently delivered, it's probably some alternate universe.

I play with a group of 3 pretty consistently, but we don’t ever define roles or what we’re watching before we take the site. We just kind of run out there and look for people, often times baiting each other. Explaining what each person should be watching really helps me visualize the execute better.

I always try to anticipate what youre kind of video youre making in the 1st 15 minutes of watching one. Its when youre trying your best to make something different thats enticing to me, eg playing a character of detective noir or old grandpa. Youre just interesting as a person. I hope you know that. I started following you for cs content but now just wait for your videos because theyre just really entertaining and not boring at all. The ones that have the creativity to deviate from the formula that has become standard to try and do something original in every case end up as a superior place to spend your time playing the game. Framing the debate around some obsessively nebulous 'competitive' 'balance' has never yielded any productive results as a whole, and has only produced circles of elitism in map design such as MapCore which continue to negatively impact mapping for the game as a whole by dogmatically stifling creativity with their influence over the now demographically transformed community.
I quit playing CSGO for more than a year now and I'm still watching this just because I'm sure that I'll be amused of the quality as expected from you. This one was particularly good. Well thats all good, but it doesnt help me because my 3 random teammates will continue to chill inside ramp while 2 of us try to take the site... and yes i tell them to get out of ramp but the only answer i get is "shat ap suka blyat"... and no i dont have enough friends or the social ability to get 3 more friends to play with me. this is one of the videos ive been waiting for, for a long time. how to think better. with all that was shown, would it be possible to just show the replay, hint at what needs improvements, jot the dos and don'ts, then analyze a pro replay (maybe show some other things in an offline map like usual that was not shown in the pro replay or emphasize on it.) also ive been really looking for something that i havent seen any big csgo youtuber do, comparing new players or at least inexperienced players to pro gameplay and cite the differences side by side. this would visually help see noticeable differences, and help create a better understanding of what to do, why, how to and just improving comprehension of game play in general, due to seeing those plays happening visually and being compared, instead of having being told by a tutorial or by word of mouth and implementing it, people can see habits and better play in "real-time" (in a sense because they are replays). then refer to tutorials for specifics on implementing it after understanding the basis of it.
As someone who attributes a significant chunk of my in-game abilities to what I learned in the early episodes of Matchmaking Academy (back around 2014-15), glad to see this series is still getting new episodes.
