    The "Vocal Clarity" does sound good. Also for those who own the Tube Tech bundle this is added at no cost.

      honestly I played around with the BlueTone, compared it to the CLB1 and SMC 2B by trying to combine the same everything and seen what limitations there are, I like the BlueTone, as a simple smack on the track vocal comp or bus, but this me, I mostly use the CLB1 on the vocal strip in the front, some times with or with out a la2, this v1 emulation sounds close but none of these or other software come close to hardware, they are like Marshall Amps, very rich in character with real tubes, interact, multilayer harmonics.. but its getting dam close., at least you can tell what it is and its basic characteristics,

I'm just in the final steps of music for a new Formular One Race car and threw this one on my Mix Bus....eventhough I love my Blackbox & Bettermaker EQ (Plugin) sitting in there all the time for a final touch - this thing adds magic... I think this is an instant buy... thanks for the video ❤

    Got it yesterday. To me, it is a polisher for guitars!!!!, vocals and the whole mix. The constant need of dramatic level matching sucks, but you have a visual side meter that you can null. Sounds SMOOTH, love it. Get it for 59 bucks now, but not for more.

    This is another great plugin from Softube, but I agree with other comments below saying it is very similar to the Drawmer S73 - also made by Softube - which I already own and love. So I think I will download the 20-day demo for their Tube-Tech Blue Tone and compare it to the Drawmer S73... If you are a producer reading this with neither, why not download both demos and compare?

    hi, my wife used up the trial on all the blue tech soften stuff (accidentally downloaded them using softuube central) she wants something for her voice in the vanes of the CL 1B cause she sings low allot or dynamic., they have all this stuff on sale this weekend, do you recumbent the mkII of the CL 1B or the blueTone just to wrap it up? can the Blue tone do all we need the CL1B for is what we are asking, cheers!

    • @mixbustv
      @mixbustv  2 месяца назад +2

      It mostly depends on how good at engineering you guys are. More control (what you'd get with the 1B) requires more knowledge and skills, bluetone is kind of set and forget. Granted that for general purpose, there aren't many settings on the 1B, the comp the way everyone uses it on vocals is pretty much a 1 trick pony so, you might be better off with the BlueTone. Or you can try the Kiive audio KC1 but again, same as above

    • @gabrielraphaelofficial
      @gabrielraphaelofficial 2 месяца назад

      @@mixbustv I got the KC1, just wondering between the new one knob style and the 1B, I mean you got the same results in the end for most things with the single known bluestone? its what im wondering cause I see it has basic functions but not sure how bad its limits are., thanks

    What else to say? Softube's shown us many times that they're king when it comes to analog-based plugins, and this is more evidence of their greatness. I also like how usable this plugin is, despite its seemingly limited functions. :D

      I love Softube and own a lot, but I’d have to put Kush Audio, UAD, Tone Projects and Acustica in there too (sorry Acustica haters, their stuff sounds like hardware). There’s another company making great compressors and such but they’re egotistical and rude, and price their stuff ridiculously high, so I won’t mention them by name 😂

    • @sub-jec-tiv
      @sub-jec-tiv Год назад

      @@massivebeatzz "wrong hardware?" I used to work in a place that had a real 670, i know what they do, and it is very difficult to model because of the overbuilt internal components that are all postwar, those components were built for military (mission critical). So they’re all chunky af, and that’s why real 670s sound so rich. The Acustica one isn’t 100%, but it’s the only one that even comes close to the depth of the original. There’s your "wrong hardware" buddy.

    • @sub-jec-tiv
      @sub-jec-tiv Год назад

      I’m just using the 670 as one example. I also like Acustica’s Manley emulations, and I have been rinsing their sampling of a mixing desk made for Polygram (Tulip), it’s awesome. I reach for Acustica’s stuff for very specific needs (when i need the sound of the things i can’t afford at home). But The majority of my workflow is Softube, Kush and UAD because they’re easier on the processor. Incidentally I like the sound of the UAD 670, and use it frequently. It just doesn’t do what the hardware unit does.

  • @Rhuggins
    @Rhuggins Год назад +1

    Interesting little plugin. I guess for newer mixers it may be useful, or for those who dont own the entire catalog.
    The most interesting bit is the technology. If this is based on their existing algorithms then its essentially collection of 7-8 presets with some very limited control, which isnt really very interesting to me.
    If however, they approached this differently and used dynamic convolution to potentially sample settings that were made in the analog domain- well thats a lot more interesting
    I have no reason so suspect that is the case; I think its basically a paid demo otherwise, of what essentially amounts to fixed presets of old code

      Drawmer s73 is very similar but it lacks the Low-High eq option and the overall tone of the Bluetone. The Drawmer tends to get a little brittle around the edges if pushed too hard. Not so the Bluetone. At least, that's my experience so far.
