If the dad's new wife is a princess and isn't queen yet, that means the main character Brooklyn will be entitled as a Duchess when her dad gets married to her. Duke for Male. If a Duchess or Duke has a child, they will be entitled as Marchioness (female) or Marquess (Male). If a Marchioness or a Marquess has a child, they'll be entitled as a Countess (female) or Earl (Male). If a Countess or Earl has a child, they will be entitled as Viscountess (female) or Viscount (male). If a Viscountess or Viscount has a child, they will be entitled as Baroness (female) or Baron (male). If a Baroness or a Baron has a child, they'll just be ordinary wealthy people. If her father gets married to the princess, he'll become a prince consort. If the princess becomes a queen, the prince consort will automatically become King consort, queen consort for female when the spouse is crowned. (I dont need to say what the queen's children will be entitled, yall already know its princess for female and prince for male.) I don't know if I'm right, but I'm sure I'm right. (I studied A LOT about royals lol.)
So that means, No, Brooklyn isn't supposed to be a princess. She's supposed to be a Duchess. Even if she's the oldest among all her step siblings, she can't become queen or princess because, She needs to be a princess and the queen has to grant her permission to become a queen. And to be a princess, her parents or step parents need to become queen or king or die in order to become a princess. If she never had any step sisters or sisters, the queen gets to decide if her dad and the princess either get a baby, or either be granted permission to be crowned queen. I'm not sure if I'm right on this one though.
