  • A ransomware gang recently went after OneBlood, one of the largest blood donation centers in the US, and have put lives of people at serious risk.
OneBlood collects and distributes over 2 million blood products each year to over 250 hospitals across the Southeast. But over the July 4th weekend, the attackers were able to encrypt OneBlood's VMware infrastructure, crippling their systems and reducing capacity by 70%. Without a rapid response, hospitals faced desperate shortages, jeopardizing patient care.
Without a stable supply from OneBlood, these hospitals could face severe shortages and have to postpone important surgeries and medical treatments.
