I can't really agree with the BMW due to expensive upkeep and long-term reliability. And, the IS is dated even though a good car. Was happy you included the Intergra. Good price, decent performance, and should last 15-20yrs.
Why not? Everything is possible. Look at the new Lexus and Toyota turbo engines. Sorry but Bmw improved their reliability the last years. If I had the money I would buy it immediately and keep for a long long time probably forever
Yep, outside of the LS500h, the Lexus ES300h (hybrid) is a great luxury vehicle that is reliable, efficient, and practical in the luxury car classification. I have the Ultra Luxury Trim with additional options and dealer add-ons. Love the vehicle and am getting 41+ MPG in the city and I don't baby it. Changed the oil and filter at 1,000 miles with Liqui Moly 0W16 Special Tec AA oil and a Toyota filter for that engine model. I plan on changing the oil & filter every six-months or 5,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Like Scotty Kilmer and The Car Care Nut state on RUclips, oil and filters are cheap, engines are expensive. 🤔
Good video with a nice list. At least someone is looking out to share information that aligns with consumers, their purchase, cost of ownership etc. Unlike other media teams only focused on 1 day of driving from 0-60. I did see some coupes recommendations as well and I have to share that I love my 2016 Lexus RC 350 AWD with Lux Package. The car is amazing daily driver and a great Grand Touring. Enough HP (~306) for me.
Apologies, late to this video. I'm buying a luxury sedan with some performance in 2025, and all 5 on your list are on my list that I'm currently researching. My list order is always changing but currently I have the M340i xdrive on top. Never owned a BMW and yes I have concerns about cost of maintenance, repairs and reliability but it appeals to me as the only one that has all the boxes checked for me. The TLX Type S, Integra Type S and Lexus IS 350 AWD are next in no particular order. Since I've always wanted a Lexus for their luxury and reliability I'm also looking at the ES but only the the 350. Love your videos and appreciated this one greatly!
Amazing vehicles but bmw m340i is my choice. Don't care what says people I would buy it without doubt. With that amazing engine im sure that will keep at least 20 years maybe for more who knows . Of course if i make more money then maybe i would add the others venicles on my garage
Currently driving a 20 year old Rx300. Drives like I'm on clouds. Looking to upgrade to an IS. I would argue an older gs350> newer es350 having driven both. Both great options
Love the TLX Type S, but the engine is mounted the wrong way. Until they mount the motor longitudinally in a RWD platform, I'll pass. Now, the ES, that's very nice and comfortable (though the engine is still mounted wrong.) What I miss is the GS. That was a proper RWD car with (at the time) available V8 power.
Need advice. I drove 200+ miles a day for commuting. I am looking into 2017,2018,2019 oanamera. What do you think. Or what other sports sedan would you recommend? Ty
I had a new 2019 ES350. It was nice, but no sunglass holder and bad cup holder placement really irritated me to no end. I prefer my 2020 Accord. Weird, I know, but there it is.

I don’t remember the last time i saw a Lexus on the road for some reason. I don’t know why they aren’t more popular compared to the European brands. Accura doesn’t retail here I think.
I would love to drive a Lexus IS300H. They do appear from time to time in UK. Croydon has a branch near the din sum place. Lexus image tends to go for older people who pursuit premium. Otherwise, budget back to Toyota will do. 👍

Reliability and TCO are a disaster for the German, Korean, American, Korean, Italian, Chinese (Swedish included here) cars. Japan top reliable cars are the right choice. Lexus, Acura etc.

@@essendon72bs! There is no Korean brand in the current reliability top 10 from Consumer Reports annual survey - I hope you are not that dumb to mistake JD Power dependability survey (in fact renamed from Initial Customer Satisfaction survey, because this is what it actually is). There were years when Kia and Hyundai entered the last places of that top, but the next year they were always out (just like other brands paying to be mentioned as good). And Genesis was never in that Top 10, not even close. The only European brand able to maintain its #8 or 9 position in the reliability top is Porsche. The rest are mostly Japanese brands, starting with the #1 Lexus. But, yes, the Koreans are generally better than the Germans (from which they took plenty of engineers etc. - the disadvantage being that they have a lot of planned obsolescence built in their cars). The Japanese top producers are also going down in reliability, but they are going down slower than the rest, thus they are still the undisputed champions of most auto segments.
Hi Shari, this was a tough pill to swallow with the recommendations of Acura and BMW.
