I love your videos, about anything Mr. Johnson voiceovers, you actually got me one chili no beans with angel hair, pasta, and to top that off green onions To sprinkle over the chili .
I saw you were at the Forbes event and thought I recognized the voice announcing the panels. Disappointed I didn't get to say what's up! I hope you enjoyed your time here. 😊
As a lactose intolerant and heartburn prone individual, thank you for your service. Living and eating all these cheesy chillis vicariously through you.
The only way I eat chili without beans is on a hot dog!! My wife makes the absolute best chili with red and black beans, with ground beef and some cut up steak!!
Three meats: ground grass-fed beef, ground lamb and ground bison. Three onions: Spanish (white), red and green. Three bells: green, red sweet and yellow sweet. Sea salt, chili powder, cumin powder, cayenne, Hunts tomato paste, Heinz mustard, fresh garlic, red kidney beans (if it’s soup/stew I’m making) simmered forever and served with freshly shredded sharp cheddar, diced onions, sour cream (or organic coconut milk yogurt-full fat, though) and either saltines or oyster/soup crackers all on the side. I have also been known to slip in a hearty portion of cauliflower rice to add some more healthy vegetables, along with fresh chopped rosemary and thyme, just for good measure. They’ll never know. ❤
Almost forgot: I use a big ole dash of turmeric powder, too. I’m thinking of experimenting with nutmeg and cinnamon, just to mitigate all that those spices.😮
All of you need to try skyline chili dip. It's a hot dip with cream cheese, Cincinnati chili, onions, shredded cheese, and it's baked until hot and bubbly. It's the absolute best dip for the tortillas scoops.
From one clevelander to another shout out to you for coming down to the 513. I've been here for a few years but absolutely Miss Cleveland food like nothing else. Hopefully you have a great rest of your time while you down here bro. 216 for Life 143 Kinsman!
@@DatoneG-nc7moYou should try it together if you haven't, make 2 packs of ramen, very aldente "If that'show you spell it idk", drain but leave a little bit of water to lose the chili and to have enough water to cook the noodles more, add the chili to the noodles "I prefer Wolf brand chili" in the pot and bring to a boil till your noodles are done. Yes... Finally I could relate to the food, being a Chili-3-way loving Cincinnatian born and raised. I knew all those chili's too well, except for the asian ramen chili & Blue Ash chili with that Philly & Lasagna.... gonna have to try both.
I always enjoy people trying Cincinnati style chili, even if you end up not liking I appreciate the effort. Want to point out as well we usually do not eat the chili by itself, we know its more to coat or mix into stuff with. Love my city. Keep up the awesome work man!
Love Ohio! And I’m from Detroit! #GoBlue. Spent my first year in college there (Wooster) plus I got family in Cleveland. I felt SUPER at home in Cleveland! Wish I had made it to Cincinnati at least once. Somebody I love still moved from FL to Toledo. Toledo is a great city! ❤. #SoIsColumbus. #StllGoBlue
Pleasant Ridge, Blue Ash, and Camp Washington all seem like the spots to go if you want a traditional experience, and obviously, that ramen is something truly unique.
A few months ago I had the opportunity to work in Cincinnati and I was super excited for it. I was watching all kinds of videos of what to expect in the city and Cincinnati chili was one of those things I was looking forward to. In the end, they gave the job to someone else and it still kinda upsets me I didn't get to visit Cincinnati 🥲
You messed up getting beans in Cincinnati chili. Blue ash chili is pretty good. I haven’t had it in awhile. Grippo’s are my all time favorite Ohio chips next to Mike Sell’s. I just ordered two of the Bengal Boxes today.
Cincy chili was invented by a Greek immigrant Nicholas Lambrinides, It is more of a sauce than chili and the ground beef is cooked IN the sauce instead of browned first then added to the sauce. It also has cinnamon in it.
You gotta have the onions and bustard on a cheese coney. 😂😂 Ball sack of cheese 🤦🏾♂️ "Bean went down my throat" Glad you survived. Yasss Blue ash chili so good. I still need to try the chili ramen at the other place. I have never had camp Washington yet but after your review I'm not in a hurry. Ha. I hope you come back to Cincy. Really cool video. Glad you exist
Ramen noodles and chili beans is a recipe I've been preparing for years. About twenty years, when we need a quick meal for a lot of family. Three cans of cheap chili and one six pack ramen noodles. Leave the seasoning packs out.. Can feed a lot of people. Is good for emergency preparation, when rolling blackouts. I save the seasoning packs for cups of broth, rice and lentils.
Thank you for reviewing Cincy Chilli. I've been eating this stuff all of my life and it's definitely the most controversial. I don't particularly rock with Gold star nor Skyline any longer it's changed over the years. You are brave if you toured all in one day.🙌🏾🤞🏾💪🏾✨️
I'm taking my baby to get the ramen. That will be the best of both worlds to her. Cincinnati chili and ramen are her favorites. Thanks for turning a Cincinnati native on.❤
You forgot about Dixie chili! I've been wanting to see a review of it so that I can try it for myself and not waste my money! Lmaoo 😅😅😆😌 #TrueCincinnatianHurr(here😂😂) 🙋🏽♀️
Im in so cal and i saw this whole chili spaghetti thing on the internet and now i make me some every fall because i have to have it. And the idea of chili ramen is blowing my mind.
@SJohnsonVoiceOvers Hi. That was me that said hello at CVS on Cedar & Lee in the parking lot. 😷 Sorry I look like I’ve been run over by a Mack truck. I am on the upswing of a bad asthma attack I had earlier this week. Come out to get my asthma meds and of course I’d run into someone I’d recognize.

Yes!!! I use 3 beans: red, black, and either pinto/kidney beans, plus at least 2 colors of bell peppers, like red, yellow, green or orange!

Never added onions to it! Scoops corn chips are the best with it IMO though!
I know it's an age old debate, but I prefer Gold Star!!! 😂

Same on that Ramen chill, I've seen similar versions of ramen in Japan, so it can actually be bomb

❤ chili. I usually just put black pepper in it. I'm very picky and not a salt fan. Black pepper is really all I put in, even at restaurants.
