theres a channel called Rob Frowney 2nd that only transcribes tool songs, theyre crazy accurate

oooh, new hi hat? what's the spec's and how are you finding it? Looks like a one piece?
It's the same model as my previous one - ZEITGEIST ZG CAD from Drum Tec. The underneath plastic cracked in about 10 different places on my previous one, so they replaced it under warranty but didn't have the antique finish anymore, hence the gold one now. It's a 2 piece. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. This new one seems to have dead spots all over the top (changing the sensitivity doesn't help). The dampening ring I've put around it is to protect the plastic underneath so it doesn't break like my previous one. Seems like a major design fault to me, very brittle and shoddy build quality overall.
The best thing about is it does feel much better to hit a metal cymbal compared to a rubber one but I think I'm going to have to fork out and get the top end Roland one eventually. Electric hi-hats have probably aged me by a few years with the amount of anger they give me!!

@@drumscribe Been watching the vids now. So far, no positional sensing on the cymbals (if that's important to you). They are planning to bring a china and splash at a later date along with a cymbal/module combo. Firmware is buggy at launch but that's the same with DWe & Alesis. They still have issues.
I have a 50x with digi pad setup so I'm gonna wait and see what happens. I am tempted to go Roland for pads and Zildjian for cymbals thou.
What drumsticks are u using?
Just an odd pair of Vic Firth I had lying around, one is a standard 5A the other is a 7A jazz stick... I need some new sticks basically!
I usually use Vic Firth extreme 5A if I'm organised.
But I dont have all of those materials :(
Danny Carey has a very unique kit for sure! You'll have to translate some of these drums like the wavedrum to a standard tom. Hope it goes well!
