About 45 years ago on the NYS Thruway, an extremely rusty car ran over some block and expelled half a fender in my direction. Fortunately, it acted as an airfoil and barely cleared my car. This happened as I was making an exit. I hope every citizen out there manages half the luck on their roadway adventures as I did that night.
