I have diverticulitis. If you're not familiar with it, it is inflammation of the diverticulum (little hair-like structures that move the waste along in your intestines). The inflammation is caused by (for me) ingesting seeds (even from fruits like straw/rasp/blackberries, certain nuts and legumes. When the inflammation is really bad, I have to go on liquid diet, than clear jello clear broth, then MAYBE yogurt...three days for each of those steps, mind you. It runs in my family. My Mom, grandmother and my uncle had it. So, having a colonoscopy is almost a "hobby" of sorts because the inflammation sometimes gets so bad that I pass red blood.
Gluten has nothing to do with diverticulitis. But a lot of nutritionists try that "bs" on me! I then remind them that I'm a retired RN, MSN ER & Burn Unit Nurse Manager. They don't say much after that.
My reasoning for telling you all this is because I would like to make sure you're careful about the digestive issues. Some of these new fangled medications cause more problems than they fix." I take Mylanta, or Tums, after every meal and before I go to bed. Keeps my tummy issues in somewhat of a "normal" pattern. If there is any such thing as normal.

So sorry to hear that Nancy I am gluten-free. I am a celiac sprue. we seem to have many of the same symptoms and remedies. There’s nothing I love more than 12 weeks on a liquid diet. You have my deepest deepest sympathies I know how it feels and yes I have it my sister has it my daughter has it and my two granddaughter have it so it’s just running through our family very rampant if I were a doctor, I would guess, we probably got it from our paternal grandmother. It doesn’t matter who gave it to us. It’s miserable it’s no fun and I understand your position very well.

The simply mills I think that’s what it is the almond crackers and cookies. They are also gluten-free and I am gluten-free so I eat quite a few of their products with no residual problems afterwards I realize we’re talking about different diseases. You have to take rice out I would be screwed. If I didn’t have rice it’s one of the few things that I can have, I haven’t had a hamburger on a bun in 20 years. Gluten-free ones aren’t bad, but they are not the same to say that the industry has come along way in developing gluten-free products for home consumers. I believe one of the reasons that they did it was they figured out that we would pay more for food and we do, I probably spend about 23% more a week because of the gluten-free pricing. My sister is gluten-free and her husband is such a great guy. Their whole house is gluten-free my daughter is and so are my two granddaughters and that kind of breaks my heart, but with the grandchildren you’re catching it at like three years old as opposed to when Ifound out about it at 45 and my daughter found out about it at 32.

Parchment paper goes on sale only once a year at Costco around the holidays. Stock up at that time.
I bought my daughter a fridge like that for her dorm room. It’s survived undergrad, law, school, and living on her own until she married. It is now in my house, keeping things cold, and giving me the extra space I need for all of the things that go with summer then in the late fall and early winter, it becomes my storage area for all of my baked goods And the freezer above keeps gluten-free flours which are generally grain or nut based from going stale or getting a rancid smell which they do if they kept it room temperature I think I paid 110 for Allison but it’s been worth every dime.

I have IBS, Gastroperesis and Acid Reflux so I have both intestines and stomach issues so I can relate. There is not much I can eat and when I find something that works I put it on my list. Unfortunately there isn't a lot to choose from.

I have gut issues too. Try a pinch of pepper and squeeze a wedge of lime juice in your Chicken Bone Broth. Sooo good! Tastes like Chicken Tortilla soup. I love Swanson Chicken Bone Broth. The only place I can find it is at Target.
I have a Ninja Creami and I love it! Wish I had bought it from Costco though, because that’s a great price. I bought it directly from Ninja’s website and paid a lot more money.😢
I cannot eat almonds, but I can eat almond flour because by grinding almonds into flour it changes the protein particles making it easier to digest

Can you eat your sourdough when you have a flair up?
I can eat a small amount. Sometimes if it’s within the first 24 hours it causes problems. I have to go really slow.
Ninja creami is def worth it
I don't like noshow socks. I feel that they charge for the full socks and only give you a ⅓ of a socks. I don't like the idea of anyone not wearing socks, so I like seeing socks ❣️🙄🫣
