I hate it when adults say "the kid is too young to understand" because they do. They understand everything. They just don't have the proper words to explain their feelings, nor the life experiences to know to ask for help.

I appreciate how you point out important issues in these episodes instead of making fun of the cheesy or corny humor.
My suggestion would be "Arthur's Big Hit." Yes, it spawned a famous meme, but it also tackles the issue of how emotions can make you do bad things and the stigma of how one mistake can ruin your life.

Here’s my ideas for Part 9:
Hey Arnold! “Oskar Can’t Read?”: Like Jem in this part, it focuses on Oskar, a member of the Boarding House that Arnold lives in, struggling with illiteracy.
The Simpsons “Lisa’s Belly”: This episode of the long-running animated sitcom tackles body image in a way that is both humorous and relatable.
Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids “Take 2, They’re Small”: The episode deals with not only petty thieves, but also how an adult takes advantage of a child until the Junkyard Gang shows the young boy, Justin, the error of his ways due to a man named Harlow causing trouble for him.
Adventure Time “I Remember You”: The episode deals with the emotional pain of being separated by loved ones, and the overflowing emotions of a reunion, as seen with the reunion of Marceline and the Ice King.

@@LetsRunItBack I appreciate you including recent shows from the 2010s and 2020s. A lot of people say "cartoons don't have soul anymore", and while, yes, their studios have gotten more restrictive, there are still a ton of great creator driven shows out there that tackle serious subjects, not because they have to, but because they want to, and they usually have to battle the network censors to make it possible.
A few other examples I can think of:
      I Remember You: Adventure Time
      Steven Universe: Alone At Sea
      Rare Americans: Carson

And yet many of the people that are fans of that show are actually children. I guess they either just don’t realize it’s meant to be an adult oriented cartoon, they are surprisingly mature for their age, or their parents might not care that they watch the show. It’s kind of a modern day South Park, a show meant for adults that surprisingly has many children as fans.

Thanks for the Rocko's Modern Life episode Who's For Dinner. As an adoptive father myself, it's an important topic. My wife and I have been very open with the subject though our kiddo is still very young, and we know there's going to be some big challenges in the future when he starts asking questions about his heritage. Adoption is often played for laughs in cartoons, so trying to de-stigmatize it is always very welcome.

There's an episode of American Dad that I think is worth a mention. The American Dad After School Special focuses on body image issues and anorexia nervosa. Steve starts dating an overweight goth girl, Debbie, to which Stan, the ever-appearance-obsessed, is appalled once he finds out her body type. So appalled, in fact, that he develops anorexia nervosa. He starts exercising more and eating less, and even meets a verbally abusive, trucker's cap donning personal trainer named Zack (who, in the end, turns out to be a figment of Stan's delusional imagination).
The episode very poignantly depicts what anorexia nervosa does to a person, and gives the perspective of an adult man struggling with it, as opposed to the stereotype of it only affecting teenage girls/young women (which the episode even points out, as when Stan goes to a support group for people with anorexia nervosa, most of the peers are indeed teenage girls). It's especially surprising how maturely and respectfully the matter is handled for a Seth MacFarlane show.

What I find brilliant about that episode is the fact that during Stan's diet, he appears to be gaining weight, and its framed to make you think it's due to his family "sabotaging" his eating habits. However, when they tell him he's been getting thinner and thinner, he takes off his shirt to show his "fatty" body, only for it to be revealed he's actually bone thin, and the fat Stan we were shown was part of his delusion, just like his trainer. It's one of the best portrayal of how a person with such a disorder sees themselves

Stan says "I know, I'm a big tub of lard!", and right after that it switches from sort of his perspective to the rest of the family's perspective, and it's the first time we see him as he truly is, practically a skeleton with skin, as opposed to the overweight self his delusional imagination made him see himself as.

Cola Cult is also interesting in that Gadget is arguably the smartest member of the group. I've seen people who assume people who join cults (or extremist groups) are stupid but that's fairly often not the case. I think it's often more people who are adrift or troubled and need a place to belong or gain purpose/direction to their lives. Often times these groups will do something genuinely helpful for the person and then use their gratitude to sink them further in. But mostly it's kind of a silly/funny episode.

Also I definitely cried during that part because, as I said in the comment where I suggested the episode, the scene in Angel’s dressing room is the hardest scene to watch in the entire episode, (and the entire show so far), so even just seeing the footage makes me cry.💔😭 That episode never gets any easier to watch, but personally that’s why I love the episode. One thing I really find funny about the Arthur one is that at the beginning of the episode, Arthur explains how bleeps get added into video, and (for the intention of making the show seem like it was in one take, lol) they show a guy actively bleeping the words as they're being spoken. So it's not just a VSE about profanity that children pick up, it's a sneak peek into the film industry in a way that's potentially likely to make kids more interested in learning about it.

Slight nitpick here. In the Simpsons episode, Lisa did feel bad about her family tree, but not because of the African-American heritage. Her grief was caused by the fact that her ancestor failed to stand up for what she believed in and brought shame to the Simpson name. Upon learning that they descended from a freed slave, and not the person she thought they did, made Lisa feel actually proud of their ancestry.

Milhouse is such a jerk in that episode. If he ‘loved’ Lisa he would have talked to her in private not shamed her in public. He didn’t get punished. The Simpsons timeline is confusing as there are noble simpsons. My guess it was focusing on past Simpsons not current.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Masquerade on this list. It hits hard with me and my partner, as his ex-partners were abusive to him nearly the same way Valentino is to Angel. There's also a part in a different episode where Valentino leaves voice mails for Angel, sounding pleading and soft at first, then slowly delving into abusive slurs and words the more times Angel doesn't pick up the phone. Their relationship is textbook toxic, and a lot of people are too afraid to talk about their experiences because they feel they deserve the abuse for a multitude of reasons, or no one will believe them because their abuser has (physically, mentally and/or emotionally) beaten that into them.

The Smurfs had the episode "Squeaky" where Smurfette adopts an old mouse only for him to die a few days later saving Papa Smurf from a lab fire (or seemingly in his sleep in the syndicated version.) Similar to the Chipmunks episode, Smurfette goes into a depression over this isolating herself from her friends because she doesn't want to see them die.
While I don't know if the English version of this special episode has been found yet (I know the Korean version has) since this show's English version is mostly lost media last time I looked, but surprisingly "Little Clowns of Happy Town" of all shows had one. Oh my gosh, another episode of Jem was covered! I always loved Roxy Rumbles! I loved getting to learn more about Roxy as a character, instead of her just being one of the "bad guys", I loved the interaction between her and Ba Nee at the end, I loved how it showed the importance of learning and literacy and that its never too late to learn to read!
Oh, for part 9, maybe you could talk about the 2 part episode of Jem called "The Music Awards"! It has to do with with child runaways, and when it first aired, it included a number runaway children could call if they needed help!
Oh, or the episode of Jem called "Riot's Hope". It's from the third and final season of the show, and has to do with gendered expectations, abuse, and strained familial relationships. It's probably my absolute favorite episode in the series. I re-watch it a lot, and I usually show it as one of the first episodes I have someone watch with me when introducing them to the series. Starting at the beginning doesn't always work very well for introducing them to what the series is capable of being, but this episode does, and it sometimes hooks them enough that they don't give up in the middle of the 5 part episode that starts the series.

Here are some episodes that should be mentioned in the next video:
Animaniacs, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo Clock": In this episode, while Slappy Squirrel is channel-surfing to find her favorite show, she's bombarded by an endless barrage of talk shows, thus causing her to have a mental breakdown, and sending her to an institution, nearly separating her from Skippy, permanently. This is a heartbreaking episode, of how mental health issues and aging can affect our loved ones. It was also a preview of a spin-off that never got made.
Wakko's Wish: While not technically a TV episode, this straight-to-video movie was the perfect finale for the original Animaniacs series. It explores the Warners's origins, as well as the bond of family and friendship, especially since Dot has taken ill, and the once prosperous Acme Falls has fallen into despair, due to over taxation by an evil king. Wakko's faith and hope are what power this inspirational story, and the story that Yakko tells Dot about her birth while he tends to her needs is beautiful and touching.
Tiny Toon Adventures, "It's a Wonderful Christmas Special": In this holiday special, the 'Toonsters offer us their own version of "It's a Wonderful Life," where Buster and the gang are rehearsing for a Christmas pageant, but everything goes horribly wrong, thus sending Buster into a downward spiral of despair. It's a very touching episode about depression, mental health, and the bonds of friendship.
A Pinky and the Brain Christmas: In this installment of "Pinky and the Brain," Brain yet again attempts to world, only this time, during the holiday season. He develops a talking doll, designed to deliver a message of dominance, until his plans are quickly changed, thanks to Pinky. It's a message of hope, loyalty, and friendship.
A Pinky and the Brain Halloween: In this episode, Pinky saves his best friend, Brain, by agreeing to sell his soul to the Devil, so that Brain won't have to, in order to achieve his goals of world domination. But while Pinky languishes in Hell, Brain discovers that it's lonely at the top, and vows to win his friend back. This suggests that we must forego our own goals, for the ones we love.

    Here's a recommendation if you ever do a part 9 or a part 10...
Hey Arnold!: "Arnold's Christmas". The true meaning of Christmas as told by the perspective of a Vietnamese refuge. It's a very important episode of the series that tackles a topic that wasn't even discussed in other cartoons: war. Specifically, what is implied to be the Vietnam War, and Arnold and Gerald following their quest to retrieve Hyuhn's long-lost daughter Mai as a Christmas surprise. Oh, and unlike other Christmas specials, no one breaks into song, Santa isn't even mentioned and not even a single Christmas Carol is sung. Watch it! You'll tear up really hard and also root for Arnold as he struggles on getting Hyuhn's gift for Secret Santa. Very powerful stuff.

This one puppet series called Wimzie’s House had an episode called “I’m Really Mad at Dad”
I assume it tackles the feeling of abandonment.
Wimzie’s family celebrates Rousso returning home from a two week business trip. Little brother Bo, who’s an infant, can’t really comprehend why his dad was gone for so long and is angry with him. Rousso is confused because he doesn’t get like this when the mom is out of the house for long periods of time due to her pilot job. Mother claims that he’s probably used to her not being home all the time.
Wimzie, on the other hand, only wants to eat cereal(I think it’s kinda a response to her being upset about her dad not being home) and her father doesn’t approve of it. Due to this, Wimzie is mad too.
The episode eventually shows how kids can react when a parent is out of the house for a period of time for work.
I personally can relate on account my dad would leave all the time when I was Wimzie’s age. Except the difference is that he eventually didn’t come back at some point.

Here's a few to add to the list:
    Monster Rancher- Eternal Worm
The episode has a Monster Breeder named Alan who beats on his Monster, Worm; which rightfully justifies Genki's animosity toward him. Moo's henchmen use this to their advantage and try to turn Worm into one of the baddies, but perishes. The end of the episode has Alan getting a new Worm and tosses away the whip he used and vows to not make the same mistakes he made.
    Monster Rancher- After the Rain
Holly's origin backstory. Deals with traumatic experiences and how to move on from it.
    Monster Rancher-
    Pixie's Defeat
2 part episode that deals with the subjects of slavery, grudges and the cycle of aggression and revenge; as well as how to break the vicious cycle of aggression, violence and revenge.

There's no reason for a woman in The Simpson family tree to look just like Marge short of inbreeding. Back to the Future III did that as well, with an ancestor on Marty's father's side looking just like his mother. Also, a Lois and Clark where they go to the old west.

The Horseland series has some good episodes, including ones about accepting others differences (a character with dyslexia) and overcoming fear. These are kind of the theme of the series so I don't know if they could add Special Episodes.
Also, have you considered doing a video about animated series that are based off of real people? Like "princess Tenko and the Guardians of Magic, " based off of stage magician Princess Tenko, or 'Sigfried and Roy, Masters of the Impossible, ' based of the famous stage magicians. FU, D Doub...wait, sorry, wrong channel.
But while we're on the subject of PBS Kids, Molly of Denali's first episode (in production order) is a VSE. In that episode, the protagonist, who is Alaska Native, learns that the reason her grandpa never sings is because of the abuse he suffered as a child in a government mandated forced assimilation boarding school. The subject of forced assimilation schools is revisited in the second half of the recent Thanksgiving episode, where it's revealed Molly's great-grandmother suffered the same abuse her grandpa did. In that episode, Molly learns that grief is, paradoxically, a part of joy, and her grandpa learns that he can't let his grief keep joy out. Kind of a recap of Inside Out when you think about it.

If you’re talking about Masquerade, I’m sorry that it being brought up was triggering for you. Honestly I personally think that episode handles the topic with care and doesn’t glorify the situation because we really see just how badly Angel suffers due to his abuse by Valentino. Angel Dust, or rather, Anthony, grew up in the Italian Mafia and was alive during a time where being gay was actually illegal. It’s why he left his family behind so soon after arriving in Hell and got into the sex work industry, working at various strip clubs until one day he met Valentino and began working for him. We still don’t know exactly how they met and how Angel started working for Valentino, but this episode clearly shows the pain Angel goes through and how he desperately wants to be free. It was so great in Welcome To Heaven when he actually stands up for himself against Valentino in order to protect Niffty.
