And the writers sort of backed themselves into a corner with that, and did their best to mesh it together. One change that should have been made in Empire special edition is they should have just cut the kiss she gives Luke when they rescue him, lying on the bed. The writers didn't know then that they were going to make Leia his sister I think. But George Lucas, instead of farting around with effects, should have worried about story and editing, making sure everything tied together properly. Duh. But oh well. Now, about Leia saying "I've always known", I think what she means is that she always felt some kind of connection to him, but couldn't put her finger on it. You know, like a soul mate, except not in a romantic way. That's why she chose Han. When Luke reveals it to her on Endor, She has the realization THAT is what she has been feeling about him all along. Its head canon, but it makes sense. Just go back and watch the scene again with that in mind, and it'll make sense.
Revenge of the Jedi was the Title they were GOING to go with, but they realized that Revenge is not the Jedi Way, so they changed it to Return of the Jedi.

She just means she has always felt that her relationship with Luke was somehow different than with other people. She just felt there was something different about Luke, she didnt know what it was though. When Luke told her she realized that what was different. The thing she couldnt figure out about Luke that made him seem different to her, was that he was her brother. She didnt realize that was the thing though until Luke told her she was his sistet. You’re wrong. “Somehow I’ve always known” means somehow she’s felling that “somehow” she’s always known. A kind of feeling Luke is introducing Leia to the force. She didn’t think Luke was different. We didn't really wait 16 years for Episode I to come out. In a manner of speaking, the waiting began as soon as the first announcement of Episode I, because we had no idea that any more Star Wars movies were going to be made.
People always make a big deal about Luke and Leia kissing. I don't know why! They kissed three times, and none of the kisses were romantic in nature towards one another. The first kiss Leia said "for luck." It was just a peck on the cheek for good luck. The second kiss is the one people usually are uncomfortable with. However, even though it was a deep kiss, it wasn't romantic towards Luke. She was just trying to piss off Han because he was acting arrogant. She really did like Han, though. She was just trying to get under his skin because he was being a jerk. So it wasn't because she liked Luke romantically (she liked Han and was just too proud to admit it). The third kiss Luke got his hand cut off and was in extreme pain and shock. It was just a peck to comfort him. It wasn't done out of any romantic attraction. So, none of the kisses were romantic in nature towards one another.
When Luke attacks the Emperor with the saber, Vader blocks him not to protect the Emperor, but to protect Luke. Because at this point he didn´t want the same dark fate for his son.

When Obi Wan told Luke regarding his father.... "I thought that I could instruct him just as well as Yoda." Obi Wan didn't mean he instructed Yoda. Obi Wan meant he thought he could instruct Luke's father as well as Yoda could have instructed Luke's father.
A great point is that Vader/Anakin thinks he is doing right until ep5 when he sees Luke would rather kill himself than be evil with him. At this point Anakin begins to surface under the realisation he has gone wrong, he just doesn't know how to get out until the end of ep 6.

Interestingly enough that you would mention "Revenge of the Jedi" cause in the Highly Recommended Documentary "Empire of Dreams" (2004), George Lucas originally wanted to title the film that way, but changed it back to "Return of the Jedi" weeks before the film released! No, Luke's saber was not always green. The saber in this movie is one he built himself to replace the one he lost (with his hand) in the previous movie. This saber is green, which is indicative of a strong connection with the Force. The one that was lost in the previous movie, the saber that had belonged to Anakin Skywalker and had been passed to Luke via Obi-Wan Kenobi, had been a blue lightsaber, a typical Jedi Knight's saber. There's more to the saber's lore, but no spoilers, so you'll just have to watch all the movies to learn.
Darth Vader needed the suit to live (you will understand it more with the prequels), and without the suit only his rage and anger could keep him alive. When he came back to the light, with the suit circuits broken by dark force lightnings, there wasn´t chance to survive.
If you watch the original ending with Sebastian Shaw portraying Force ghost Anakin instead of Hayden Christensen, he smiles warmly at Luke instead of that weird evil looking expression. Hayden didn't know this footage was going to be used in a later altered version of the film, so he didn't act like a redeemed Jedi who's happy again in the afterlife and is proud of his kids. The "Noooo" when Anakin saves Luke is also a new thing. In the original, he just went right for the Emperor without saying anything.

That replaced the original track from 1983 called “Lapti Nek”. Sy Snootles and the other singer were created by CGI, the background singers were real people. Also the dancer who played Oola; the one who Jabba sent to the Rancor, she also returned to do some reshoots for the ‘97 Special Edition. Because she was a dancer in real life, she kept her body in shape. So she looks the same as she did in 1983.

Different types of imperial troops have different armor depending on what job they do the stormtroopers on the speeder bikes are called scout troopers their job is reconnaissance if you noticed the snow troopers on Hoth had special armor for fighting in cold climates. Stormtroopers are specialist troops there is also an imperial army that is the bulk of the imperial ground forces but you don't see that in the original trilogy movies their amor is a green/grey colour and they look a bit like futuristic WW2 German soldiers . You do see that the imperial walker drivers and tie fighter pilots have their own armor.

He meant that he thought he could train Anakin as well as Yoda could and convinced the jedi council to allow him to try. The emperor isn't weak at all. To use the force you must channel it, and it takes focus. The emperor was focused on Luke, so he didn't sense what Vader was going to do. That's also why he still had lightening coming out of his fingers because he couldn't stop it.

The creature that killed that Twi'lek (green woman with tentacles/tails on her head) slave and almost kills Luke inside that pit in Jabba's palace is called a rancor. 2. The scene at the Sarlacc pit was shot in my home state of Arizona in the middle of the Yuma desert, while the scenes on the forest moon of Endor were shot in the Redwood Forest of California. 3. Yes we waited 16 years but we had the books, novels, comics and games to quench our thirst. It expanded on the universe and characters. Which is why the older fans don’t like the direction Star Wars has gone in. We know there are great stories to be told and Disney just ignores the rich storytelling that has come before.

Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor were intended to be a ½ hour TV-special. But the network that actually purchased it, wanted three 2 hour made-for-tv dark fantasy movies of teletubby teddy bears doing... just about nothing for a couple of hours. They're a very minute upgrade over the disastrous Holiday Special, that Lucas did not touch and tried to bury in a landfill. They're entirely skippable. But you mentioned Outlaws... Last year, Nightdive "remastered" (slightly lazy effort for a game of such magnitude) LucasArts' Dark Forces, from 1995. That's a classic, that came out on PC CD-ROM, at the very end of the Super Nintendo console era, which had revived the franchise with it's fantastic trilogy renditions. They probably helped to finally push the gears into motion on the Prequel Trilogy, as a finally viable, untapped market of "merchandise".
I was 13 years old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars and 16 years old in 1980 when I saw Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. I was 19 years old in 1983 when I saw Episode VI Return of the Jedi in the Movie Theatre. Everyone in the Theatre was shocked when it was revealed Princess Leia was Lukes Twin Sister. Anakin Skywalker was the Jedi who returned. He was Anakin Skywalker before becoming Darth Vader. He then became Anakin Skywalker again. Luke hinted at it when he told the emperor that he was a Jedi like his Father before him. Everyone in the Movie Theatre cheered when Darth Vader turned on the emperor. In the original Darth Vader just keeps looking back in forth before picking up the Emperor to toss him. In the original Movie they used the older Actor that was in the Darth Vader suit to be Anakin Skywalkers Force Ghost. The Younger Anakin Skywalker as the Force Ghost was only done after the prequels. Yoda was 900 years old and had trained Jedis for 800 years.

Luke lost his father's lightsaber fighting Darth Vader in The Empire Strrikes Back and had to build a new one the scene was filmed for Return of the Jedi but cut, they made the new lightsaber green not blue so it would stand out better against the Tatooine sky although in other Star Wars media there are in world reasons for the different coloured lghtsabres that they don't mention in the movies.

George Lucas gets a lot of hate for the special edition and some other things but I personally enjoy it. The only thing I dislike is that he sold to Disney.
I saw all the original Star Wars in the theaters when they were released. Ive watched each of the three at least 100 times and kniw them forward and backwards. And waiting 16 years actually ruined the prequels. I had 16 years to think about who Vader was as Anakin and what he was like and what he looked like, his character, his demeanor, all the little things that made him him. And what I got from the prequels fell sooooo short of everything Vader was to me. It ruined the prequels. I like Phantom Menace alright, but Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were terrible in my opinion. I dont like they way Anakin was portrayed and I didnt care for Hayden Christensen's portral of him. Anikin should have been big, menacing, scary even. He should have tall and built! He should have been strong and confident. And have an attitude. Mace Windu was tough and had an attitude, so why not Anakin? Hayden Christensen just doesnt seem menacing or tough. He reminds me more of the lead singer of a boys band. No matter how many shoulder pads they give him, or how many fans they blow on his hair or how many creeping colored contacts he wears, he just isnt MENACING in the slightest. And he's far to whiney, all he does is cry about how unfair everyone treats him, hes kind of a cry baby. And I think to mysrlf THIS is Anikin? This is the guy that chokes all his commanding officers on whim and threatens the rest? Yeah, it just didnt fit for me, after waiting and imagining what Anakin was like for 16 years, what I got was a let down.

No, Luke’s light Saber wasn’t always Green. He lost his blue saber when he got his hand cut off. He constructed a new one and it’s green.

People always make a big deal about Luke and Leia kissing. I don't know why! They kissed three times, and none of the kisses were romantic in nature towards one another.
The first kiss Leia said "for luck." It was just a peck on the cheek for good luck.
The second kiss is the one people usually are uncomfortable with. However, even though it was a deep kiss, it wasn't romantic towards Luke. She was just trying to piss off Han because he was acting arrogant. She really did like Han, though. She was just trying to get under his skin because he was being a jerk. So it wasn't because she liked Luke romantically (she liked Han and was just too proud to admit it).
The third kiss Luke got his hand cut off and was in extreme pain and shock. It was just a peck to comfort him. It wasn't done out of any romantic attraction.
So, none of the kisses were romantic in nature towards one another.
When Luke attacks the Emperor with the saber, Vader blocks him not to protect the Emperor, but to protect Luke. Because at this point he didn´t want the same dark fate for his son.

A great point is that Vader/Anakin thinks he is doing right until ep5 when he sees Luke would rather kill himself than be evil with him. At this point Anakin begins to surface under the realisation he has gone wrong, he just doesn't know how to get out until the end of ep 6.

No, Luke's saber was not always green. The saber in this movie is one he built himself to replace the one he lost (with his hand) in the previous movie. This saber is green, which is indicative of a strong connection with the Force. The one that was lost in the previous movie, the saber that had belonged to Anakin Skywalker and had been passed to Luke via Obi-Wan Kenobi, had been a blue lightsaber, a typical Jedi Knight's saber. There's more to the saber's lore, but no spoilers, so you'll just have to watch all the movies to learn.
Darth Vader needed the suit to live (you will understand it more with the prequels), and without the suit only his rage and anger could keep him alive. When he came back to the light, with the suit circuits broken by dark force lightnings, there wasn´t chance to survive.
Fun fact - the title of this movie refers to the return and redemption of a Jedi long thought dead!!! Anakin Skywalker - Return of the Jedi

If you watch the original ending with Sebastian Shaw portraying Force ghost Anakin instead of Hayden Christensen, he smiles warmly at Luke instead of that weird evil looking expression. Hayden didn't know this footage was going to be used in a later altered version of the film, so he didn't act like a redeemed Jedi who's happy again in the afterlife and is proud of his kids. The "Noooo" when Anakin saves Luke is also a new thing. In the original, he just went right for the Emperor without saying anything.

His suit was constructed to be vulnerable to emperor Palpatines powers to keep him in line.
I’m not sure if you were aware or not, but some of the effect shots you see were from when Jedi; along with Star Wars and Empire, were all remastered for a special edition rerelease in 1997; as a way of honoring what was the 20th Anniversary of the original release of Star Wars. Shots like:
- The band performing in Jabba’s palace.
- The Sarlacc Pit; and Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge traveling to the Sarlacc.
- The end celebration/with new music recorded by John Williams
These were redone for the ‘97 Special Edition.
Then in 2011, when the films were coming to blu-ray for the first time, Lucas supervised more changes that include:
- R2 & 3PO arriving at Jabba’s palace
- The Ewoks being able to blink their eyes
- Darth Vader screaming “No….NO!!!”
These changes made the film somewhat divisive amongst fans. While some were an improvement from where they were in 1983, others still feel that they shouldn’t have been changed.

The Band that performs in Jabba’s Palace; the Max Rebo band with Sy Snootles on lead vocals, there was a new song they recorded for the ‘97 Special Edition called “Jedi Rocks”. That replaced the original track from 1983 called “Lapti Nek”. Sy Snootles and the other singer were created by CGI, the background singers were real people. Also the dancer who played Oola; the one who Jabba sent to the Rancor, she also returned to do some reshoots for the ‘97 Special Edition. Because she was a dancer in real life, she kept her body in shape. So she looks the same as she did in 1983.

Different types of imperial troops have different armor depending on what job they do the stormtroopers on the speeder bikes are called scout troopers their job is reconnaissance if you noticed the snow troopers on Hoth had special armor for fighting in cold climates. Stormtroopers are specialist troops there is also an imperial army that is the bulk of the imperial ground forces but you don't see that in the original trilogy movies their amor is a green/grey colour and they look a bit like futuristic WW2 German soldiers . You do see that the imperial walker drivers and tie fighter pilots have their own armor.
There's no Earth in Star Wars. The tagline starts the story by saying, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away". There's no Earth, at least as far as the movies are concerned.

The emperor isn't weak at all. To use the force you must channel it, and it takes focus. The emperor was focused on Luke, so he didn't sense what Vader was going to do. That's also why he still had lightening coming out of his fingers because he couldn't stop it.
Ewoks are cute af, but I'd rather hug Chewbacca (granted he's in a good mood). I also can't help but cheer when Leia chokes out Jabba with that chain.

1. The creature that killed that Twi'lek (green woman with tentacles/tails on her head) slave and almost kills Luke inside that pit in Jabba's palace is called a rancor.
2. The scene at the Sarlacc pit was shot in my home state of Arizona in the middle of the Yuma desert, while the scenes on the forest moon of Endor were shot in the Redwood Forest of California.

Yes we waited 16 years but we had the books, novels, comics and games to quench our thirst. It expanded on the universe and characters. Which is why the older fans don’t like the direction Star Wars has gone in. We know there are great stories to be told and Disney just ignores the rich storytelling that has come before.
There is no Earth in the galaxy where Star Wars is set...and that's because its a completely different galaxy from ours. Our galaxy is the Milky Way, and the events of Star Wars did not happen there. Nobody knows the name of the galaxy where Star Wars takes place, or how far away it is, but its definitely not the Milky Way. Since Sol 3 (AKA: Earth, which is the English word for "Dirt," or Terra, which also means, "Dirt" but in Latin...basically, we live on a planet called, "Dirt." Learn to deal with it,) is definitely for sure located in the Milky Way, it stands to reason that it cannot also be in the galaxy in which Star Wars takes place, therefore, there is no Earth in Star Wars.

Using the force can weaken a Jedi or Sith but nothing uses more strength to use than force lightning. So the Emperor was for the first time weak enough for Vader to destroy him and for filling the prophecy.
Jabba calls Han Solo Bantha Fodder. Bantha’s are big Buffalo/Cow type animals on Tatooine. So essentially he was calling Han a piece of Cow Shit.

A new character, Nellith Skywalker should be introduced and have her own trilogy, but while shooting this movie George Lucas went thru a difficult divorce and felt worn out so he scrapped the plans and decided to wrap it up and end the Skywalker saga there by editing in Leia as the sister.

It takes place 6 years after "Return of the Jedi" and before the Disney sequel series. Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor were intended to be a ½ hour TV-special. But the network that actually purchased it, wanted three 2 hour made-for-tv dark fantasy movies of teletubby teddy bears doing... just about nothing for a couple of hours. They're a very minute upgrade over the disastrous Holiday Special, that Lucas did not touch and tried to bury in a landfill. They're entirely skippable.
But you mentioned Outlaws... Last year, Nightdive "remastered" (slightly lazy effort for a game of such magnitude) LucasArts' Dark Forces, from 1995. That's a classic, that came out on PC CD-ROM, at the very end of the Super Nintendo console era, which had revived the franchise with it's fantastic trilogy renditions. They probably helped to finally push the gears into motion on the Prequel Trilogy, as a finally viable, untapped market of "merchandise".
I was 13 years old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars and 16 years old in 1980 when I saw Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. I was 19 years old in 1983 when I saw Episode VI Return of the Jedi in the Movie Theatre. Everyone in the Theatre was shocked when it was revealed Princess Leia was Lukes Twin Sister. Anakin Skywalker was the Jedi who returned. He was Anakin Skywalker before becoming Darth Vader. He then became Anakin Skywalker again. Luke hinted at it when he told the emperor that he was a Jedi like his Father before him. Everyone in the Movie Theatre cheered when Darth Vader turned on the emperor. In the original Darth Vader just keeps looking back in forth before picking up the Emperor to toss him. In the original Movie they used the older Actor that was in the Darth Vader suit to be Anakin Skywalkers Force Ghost. The Younger Anakin Skywalker as the Force Ghost was only done after the prequels.

Luke lost his father's lightsaber fighting Darth Vader in The Empire Strrikes Back and had to build a new one the scene was filmed for Return of the Jedi but cut, they made the new lightsaber green not blue so it would stand out better against the Tatooine sky although in other Star Wars media there are in world reasons for the different coloured lghtsabres that they don't mention in the movies.

I saw all the original Star Wars in the theaters when they were released. Ive watched each of the three at least 100 times and kniw them forward and backwards.
And waiting 16 years actually ruined the prequels.
I had 16 years to think about who Vader was as Anakin and what he was like and what he looked like, his character, his demeanor, all the little things that made him him.
And what I got from the prequels fell sooooo short of everything Vader was to me. It ruined the prequels. I like Phantom Menace alright, but Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were terrible in my opinion. I dont like they way Anakin was portrayed and I didnt care for Hayden Christensen's portral of him.
Anikin should have been big, menacing, scary even. He should have tall and built! He should have been strong and confident. And have an attitude. Mace Windu was tough and had an attitude, so why not Anakin? Hayden Christensen just doesnt seem menacing or tough. He reminds me more of the lead singer of a boys band. No matter how many shoulder pads they give him, or how many fans they blow on his hair or how many creeping colored contacts he wears, he just isnt MENACING in the slightest. And he's far to whiney, all he does is cry about how unfair everyone treats him, hes kind of a cry baby. And I think to mysrlf THIS is Anikin? This is the guy that chokes all his commanding officers on whim and threatens the rest?
Yeah, it just didnt fit for me, after waiting and imagining what Anakin was like for 16 years, what I got was a let down.

Han was frozen in Carbonite for over 2 years. Luke's first saber was Anakin's and it was blue. When Luke lost his hand he also lost his dad's saber and in the 2 years he went on a quest to get others.
