The "rat tail" of Obi Wan shows that he is a padawan learner, an apprentice, not a Jedi Knight yet. The final fight, sounding "Duel of the fates", it´s one of the best in the franchise for me. Legendary.
Many people were confused to identify Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman) and her decoy (a very young Keira Knightley). It´s totally normal, besides they switched a lot during the movie.
I personally LOVE this movie for almost all. This trilogy was very attacked without sense and without reason, when was released. Now, with the time, has its deserved recognition.
I also like the prequels--we learn more about Jedi philosophy and training (in the OT, we only see Obi-Wan, Luke & Yoda), in the prequels we see many of them, and we see what the Galaxy was before the Empire. And we visit more worlds than just Tattoine. For these reasons, I liked the prequels, even with annoying Jar-Jar.
One of my favorite Qui-Gon Jinn lines in this movie are: "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent" (So useable for so many people in real life) *FUN FACT* Natalie Portman & Kiera Knightley (Yes, I said Keira Knightly) were so identical in full Queen Amidala wardrobe & makeup that their own mothers couldn't tell them apart.
This was the beginning of the trilogy that I had waited for since first discovering Darth Vader when I was an 11-year-old kid. It is also the first trilogy that my kids fell in love with introducing them to their own Star Wars fandom. And the N64 Podracer game (with my custom-built pod) is still stored on the memory card, with the console and cartridge ready for my grandkids to play someday.
Queen Amidala is just the queen of her people in Naboo, not of the whole galaxy. The supreme chancellor is like the president or prime minister of the galaxy.
About Jedis and Siths, they were once the same group studying both sides of the force, but they split into 2 groups and went at war with each other. The Sith faked their own destruction, but one survived and the jedis believe that ALL of them disappeared 1000 years before episode 1. The sole sith survivor restarted the sith under the rule of 2 (one master & one apprentice)m but in hiding and jedis are not aware of it. That's why they're totally surprised to see Siths once again, 1000 years after being extinct. You'll learn more if you watch episodes 2 & 3. Can't tell you more without spoiling you. Have a nice day. After you watch episodes 2 & 3, I could give you a link explaining the entire timeline (starting with the creation of the Galaxy and endong with the 6 movies), but too much spoilers in this video, so I'll wait until you watched all 6 movies.
Considering Anakin's natural skill with the Force he needed a master that was experienced enough to both teach and encourage him. Someone who understood the importance of teaching by experiencing it.
In those years, 1999 and onwards, was released a videogame for Nintendo 64 called "Star Wars: Episode I Racer". It vas very funny, addictive and with a great multiplayer mode. It was curious because only was about pure podracing (and nothing more about this movie).
The Boonta Eve race goes through parts of Ben's Mesa, which stretches all the way up to Beggar's Canyon, that Luke mentioned in A New Hope. It was named after one of the first and most trailblazing champions, who scaled the Mesa in his podracer - this is why Ben is such a common first name on Tatooine. But these are also holy lands to the Tusken sandpeople, who don't appreciate the noise (like Ben Kenobi's force howling in ANH) and disrespect (that they get in general Tatooine society as well). Notice how Qui-Gon is repeatedly teasing Padmé, like "Oh, but you're just a handmaiden, you said? So you don't really have any authority, right?" And notice how JarJar's lips are animated, when Captain Panaka and Padmé speak, such as "...Well, I don't approve!" Look at where main characters are standing during the funeral pyre and briefly in the final scene. It's symbolic.
Watching this in the theater when I was nine, as an extended family event, and with all the marketing really got me into it. While I can understand the criticisms better now that I'm older, I still have fondness for it do to those nostalgic reasons.
Sith and Jedi have been fighting for thousands of years. The Jedi just believed the Sith were extinct and hadn’t seen them in a very long time up until this point.
Yeah those blue girls massaging Sebulba are the same species as Jabba's slave dancer: Twi'lek. They come in a wide variety of colors: blue, green, red, purple, white, orange, etc. They’re also playable in various Star Wars role-playing games (Star Wars version of Dungeons and Dragons, if you will).
The Green lightsaber Ben Kenobi uses at the end and keeps as the lightsaber Luke dismantles and uses the crystal for his new lightsaber in episode VI Return of the Jedi
Cuz clearly in the 70s they clearly didn't have CGI which I think is overused nowadays I like practical effects and stuff like that was done before cuz people are so used to that nowadays that if it's anything less than that they don't like it or they complain about it or think it's trash to me I'll take that stuff over CGI festive movies
The Sith were believed to be have been exterminated by the Jedi centuries before. So the Jedi have been unaware of their presence. Only the Trade Federation knew of the Sith’s existence because Darth Sidious was using them as pawns in his larger game, promising them power and money.
The phantom menace ; is Darth Sidious ! who is the single greatest representation of the Sith emerging from - thought (extinction) .. but Darth Sidious plan was to infiltrate the republic and create division which would ultimately effect the Jedi order, .. which was his primary target!! so in this movie Darth Sidious creates a trade dispute preventing access via trade routes to Naboo, however Ben Kenobi’s master Qui Gon realised there is no purpose in it, thus allowing the senate to focus on a way in which to settle the dispute!! and at the same time without being detected!!!allow Darth Sidious the necessary time to begin play for a place within the senate and then make way for his true mission …. eradicate the Jedi order …. The story continues

Thanks to K.P. and Niko! 🌟 Keep watching with open hearts and open minds. There's plenty to appreciate in every STAR WARS offering.

You guys will enjoy episode II and episode III 😨😳 it’s the greatest Star Wars movie in entire series!!!
I recommend you watch Clone Wars series after the Prequels.

Isn’t that kid ADORABLE? He is so great!!!
Sith and Jedi have been fighting for thousands of years. The Jedi just believed the Sith were extinct and hadn’t seen them in a very long time up until this point.
The next two are great, you'll love them!
Can’t wait !!
The celebration music at the end is actually a sped up version of the music in the throne room at the end of Return of the Jedi.
This was a great reaction ✌🏽💪🏽💯👍 I study the force in real life it’s real
May the the force be with you 🌘🌌
thank you 💙
I'm old enough to have seen the original Star Wars film in 1977 and to have seen and loved the Prequels equally. Cool reaction. 😎👍🏾
Great reaction! Loved the Star Wars movies when I was little and I still do.

The fake queen is Keira Knightley..... That might be why she looks so familiar.

Anakin had pretty much 20,000 kills at 9 years old.
That’s wild lol
Best one is Episode 3. Of the ENTIRE trilogy. Can’t wait for you guys to see that one!
Hey guys, love your reaction to Star Wars one. This is my favorite Star Wars movie. Look forward to seeing your reaction to the second movie. :)

Well I really don't compare movies for graphics clearly it's in the 70s they didn't have the technology to do now I just take it for what it is
It is annoying when that’s the first comment about the movies. This shows that’s all people care about movies now.
Both of them. Are not Natalie Portman.?
24:43: Such a gross scene lol.
Star Wars episode three revenge of the Sith is the greatest Star Wars movie of all time

Remember what Anakin's mom said about his father. It comes back when palpatine speaks to Anakin in episode 3.
Outlaws sucks. Better play some older Star Wars games.
Heard that too !
