The unfocused, unclear visuals combined with the black & white color tone obscure what's actually being recorded to give more of an atmosphere to the thing. Your mind fills in the blanks as to what you think you are actually seeing, and boy am I seeing some crazy things here. 10/10!

How the heck do you convert a VHS tape to a computer file anyway? Do you use a VHS/DVD hybrid on your TV, then burn the VHS footage onto a blank DVD, and then insert the DVD into your computer? Because that's the only way I could think how it could be done.

I totally agree man. If this was in HD it would take so much away from the sheer haunting-ness the band was emitting at the time.
The best bit is it's authentic, nowadays it would be poseur.
