One of my favorite songs from The Haunted Man. So glad this is getting a video. Natasha Khan's Pearl reminds me of Annie Lennox's alter-ego from the Savage era - the blonde vamp she portrayed in I Need A Man, You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart and other videos. Music is storytelling and being able to play different roles and give a different persona to a song is part of being an artist. Glad Khan is unafraid to explore this.
But from what it looks like, they are crashing Laura's party (there's a banner in the party with Laura's name). My theory is after all the partygoers leave, including Pearl and her Haunted Man, Laura feels sad and lonely.
I love how in the end, she is literally representing lyrics in "Marilyn": "Holding you, I'm touching a star / Turning into a Marilyn / Leaning out of your big car." What I LOVE about Bat for Lashes is how intricate and deliberate the images in these music videos are.

I'm so late to the game. Wish I had known about her music before. I could have had a chance to see her on tour too :( but at least I have all three albums, so I'm content with that. This album though is amazing! Best buy I've made in ages :D
