Actions speak louder than words. Your a good man Jack. I would never in a million years given them the benefit of the doubt. Thank you both for acting on it and removing it.
People leaving their rubbish and broken gear like that gets me riled up as well. Sadly it's rare these days that I turn up to popular free campsites that I don't have to pick up rubbish first when I get there. Truly poor camping etiquette. Real low-lives. 🤬
good fun video again guys. Good on you for calling out the people who leave rubbish behind. you're so right that these are the people who wreck it for the rest of us...
As we all know, "You can't fix stupid", and "stupid is as stupid does". Who are these ungrateful people who don't see the perfection of this place and value it? Thanks, Jack and Megan, for what you did to try to keep it pristine.
The wires for the electric brakes should all be soldered together with no connectors and I think you have worked that out now. That was a VERY BIG glass of wine! Well done for cleaning up other peoples trash and I totally agree with you that leaving that sort of rubbish behind just spoils it for everyone.
25:22 - what grubs! I can't believe people can leave stuff like that and not feel guilty. Good on you guys for taking it with you. You should put stuff like this at the start of your videos, highlight its not okay.
Dont worry about feeling out of place at wineries. It's South Australia, we're all bogans at heart. I've been to all the fancy pants places, and they're very welcoming.
Yeah it is ashame that places are getting closed down . And one of the biggest problems is because of behaviour like those people leaving trash behind . Sad really.
Maybe 24hr security to stop people. There are no toilets available for them to use. DISGUSTING. For 8yrs my husband and 4 kids stayed in same park for 8yrs in same on site van.
all the icons in 1 picture....the beach, sunset, scenery and mrtyle .....all in a picture with a glass of SA red wine. PERFECT!!!!! Stay safe guys..... Cheers MONTY
G'day Caravan brakes quick fix Just put some heat shrink over the joiners, so they can't come apart by themselves, and with the right type of heat shrink, it'll keep the water out also Cheers
Great episode. Beach camp looked Stella! Agree wineries can be very intimidating on entry. Margaret River has some wineries where you can stay overnight.
Well done on cleaning up after grubs. There is no excuse for doing that and this behaviour is more to blame for closures than any social media hype. Good job getting Myrtle on the beach although might struggle in the soft sand beaches on the Queensland coast. Keen to see you continue trying new things. Matt and Leisa.
The drone rough landing was gold glad it survived. Such a shame they are closing the beach down such a beautiful spot we should all be able to enjoy our beautiful beaches responsibly. It’s so sad to see people Leaving anything on the beach let alone a gazebo great job at picking it up. (Having issues leaving a comment so not sure if this duplicated lol)
That was a nice start to our Sunday, we drove down that way yesterday. Thanks for sharing, the dolphins must have been magical. I had some come up to my stationary boat once, just to say hi, incredible experience.
lol @ the drone landing on the bonnet, you should look up Burners Beach for camping on Yorke Peninsula, West of Point Turton. Completely protected from Southerly Winds by the huge cliff, right next to one of the best beaches.
Love the excitement you have when Myrtle makes it to all of these off road places. Don't love the rubbish some people leave behind. Good on you for taking it with you. No wonder these beautiful locations are being shut down.
Another awesome video gets my blood boiling. How people leave their rubbish behind. That's why places are getting shut down. See you next week safe travels
Great video Myrtle on the beach well done. We live at a beachside suburb and have for a very long time and over those years of course it’s changed a lot. There are now a “lot” of visitors that come and I do think its because of social media - that’s why I visit places we see it on social media especially RUclips and think “ oh we will go there! But, what makes me upset is that “some” of the people who come to visit don’t take care of this place which is our home. Over the years the rubbish has gotten really bad broken chairs, broken tents, dirty nappies and wipes, the wipes are so bad. Maybe I am just being a Karen (literally) but I’m glad someone has decided to take care of that beach. Anyway thank you for taking care of that beach and for sharing your wonderful travels and showcasing beautiful Australia.
My gypsy heart loves watching your videos..I'm hanging to get on the road and see what a beautiful country we have. I honestly don't think it's your fault at all, you are showcasing Australia. It's the grubs that leave all their mess behind.
Good to see you two having a good time. It's universal that people leave their rubbish unfortunately. I live by the rule if you carry it in, carry it out. Well done for picking it up. Also get at least some electrical tape around those connectors, that's scary those loose contacts 😅
Hi guys, first time subscriber- it was watching your recent video about the rubbish that prompted me to subscribe :). all I can say is congrats, fantastic, your phenomenal! I've watched you from your troopie days (on & off), absolutely love how you guys revamped myrtle- my husband keeps looking at me saying - NO and i mean NO rofl. God alone knows if we will be able to take off and travel around - it 'll work out for the best. in the mean time I just wanted to thank you for sharing your adventures- the good the bad and the ugly- can't believe you get ugly posts??!! I think your both faboulous and so funny! God bless cheers Leonie ( ps sorry for the long post)
I cannot believe those grubs. Completely unacceptable leaving your trash on the beach. Thank you for removing it (as a lot of us would have done). Safe travels and keep Australia beautiful. ( We also have a 73 Viscount) 👍
Looks like an amazing place both of them. Thanks for picking up that numpties rubbish. I grew up at a popular beach and the amount of crap people leave is astonishing. Used to go for a walk with a plastic bag most days in summer to just pick it up and grumble.
Wow, you were really overthinking going into the winery. As a South Aussie, anyone and everyone can go into wineries dressed in whatever they want. They usually don’t try and sell too hard. Just enjoy.

It is shocking how many free camps are being shut down and most of the time it is to people leaving trash. No it is not social medias fault it is usually word of mouth that people find these spots. Thanks again for sharing your journey.
Great seeing you guys there. I was the smart fart that was in the black Ford who yelled out See ya Jack when you left after the hill. We saw the mess the day before and assumed they were coming back. Obviously not 😢

Great video guys, what a joy that private beach was - and wow, swimming with the dolphins 🐬Cheers AND... Yep, we say thank you to you for taking other peoples rubbish - Have done the same ourselves in several places. It grinds my gears.⚙⚙ They are definitely the reason places are getting closed down.
Good morning, yes it's horrible seeing people leaving there rubbish at camp sites thank you both for doing the right thing and taking it (just hope that they were interstate visitors not South Australia) love you videos ps love it when you come to my beautiful state South Australia
You ask if its social media's fault or if its idiots leaving trash behind? Kinda both. If social media didnt hype it up as a free camp and a destination place to be, then the number of idiots trashing the place would be significantly less. Pre covid there was a much smaller number of people camping on the beach and it just wasnt being trashed. What you guys specifically did that i applaud is on your first visit is that you did exactly what everyone should do, use the paid campsites. And the bonus is calling out the idiots who left their rubbish behind as well as you taking it off the beach. Good news is that the beach is remaining open, just cant stay on the beach. Go use your paid site but load up the car and set up on the beach for the arvo enjoy and pack up and get off the bech again 👌👌👌
Could either solder the e-brake wires - just more difficult to replace the magnet - or use the PV connectors used in the solar panel wiring - as those can be disconnected easily for maintenance purposes.
7:01 - I love this! On Tuesday night I had a nightmare about getting in a fight, while I was sleeping I grabbed Ash and was shaking her 😂😂😅 Scares the shit out of her hahaha.
Great vid guys ! Looked like a nice hipcamp ! Its nice to travel with company every now n then ! Myrtle looks at home on the beach ⛱️ One word Jack handbrake 😊
Your right makes my blood boil when people leave their rubbish behind for someone else to pick up after them. It's a wonder why beaches and campsites are closing down. We need to respect the land that we live on.
Coming from a small country town on the coast i do understand the frustration when influencers advertise spots that locals have given in confidence and they get overrun by tourists. I think some areas should remain secret to preserve the beauty of them otherwise everywhere will be full of people.
Totally agree as SM vloggers wanting that perfect beach/drone shot to drive their petty subs & likes has seriously caused these majestic spots to be ruined/swamped with hordes hauling big rigs chopping up tracks causing carnage to the frustration of locals & their Shires trying to control it. There is no sane reason to be hauling big arse caravans onto our prestine beaches chopping the crap out of them, so good on the Shire's for cracking down on it. Beach camping is for tents/rooftop tents only
Why should you be the only one who can access public areas? Ban 4WD or ban towing. Maybe ban vehicles > 3T. But you don't have exclusive rights to publicly owned land.
@@NTF-fk8enNo it isn’t. It’s exactly people like you that want to tell the whole world about it that ruins these quiet little areas. I’ve experienced exactly this problem, you find a quiet little place and you’ve been going there for years until word gets out and suddenly every time you go there it’s crowded, there’s rubbish everywhere, and you can’t get a place. It’s no longer that quiet little spot. I have no problem with social media showing these beautiful places but perhaps a little more thought before announcing to the world exactly where it is.
What a beautiful beach spot. Yes that gazebo left behind is disgusting . Good on you for taking it to the dump. I’ve been doing the same in camp spots, picking up a bag full of someone’s rubbish that is jammed into a rubbish bin clearly overflowing, instead of taking it out with them , boy it gets me mad, as we campers get the fingers pointed at us and sites get closed down. Don’t get me started. Myrtle on the beach that’s amazing guys. Cheers Judy
Another great video you two. I am definitely going to be taking my wife to that Hipcamp sometime in the near future. Sad about Waraulti closing to camping. I doubt we'll be able to get there before it does but hopefully we can. Angry about people who leave their crap behind. It's unacceptable, lazy, inconsiderate and selfish. 😡
Hi guys, thanks so much for another awesome video. And, thank you so much for mentioning the new Wiki Camps…. thought it was just me 😭. Re camping at wineries there are two I know of in WA (Thomson Brook Winery (Donnybrook area) Jarvis Estate behind Colonial Brewery (Margs). We live in the Swan Valley and have run the idea of camp sites past a few of the larger wineries. Though so many of them love the idea our shire sadly wont allow it. Re grubs that think the world is their private tip site 😡….. every where we go we carry rubbish bags and large tongs so we can clean up after these muppets, and hopefully keep camp sites open for generations to enjoy. Stay safe, happy Christmas.
Hey Jack, nothing wrong with the way you were dressed to go for a tasting at a winery. Exactly how I go most of the time. No excuse for anyone to leave rubbish behind. Absolutely none and it frigging gets my blood boiling as well. Spoils it for everyone. Good on you for taking it with you.
That is a nice beach. Enjoy your wine. And what GRUBS that left there rubbish on the beach anyone that does that should be ashamed of themselves. Thanks for this video guys.
Just subscribed. Good on ya for picking up the rubbish. Im sick a watching peanuts doing the wrong thing in the bush. If we ever catch you on the road, I got a crisp high 5 im saving for you guys. Thanks for doing the right thing and setting a positive example.
Good on you Jack , I think I saw somewhere on social that the beach is being shut because of the damage to the shorebird habitat and nesting and people damaging the dune areas it may be wrong but anyway have a great Xmas and better New Year
Pull a little bit more slack in the brake wire, squash the sides of the female plug a tiny bit to make the connection tighet and cover with split corrugated tube and you should not have any more problems with the connections.
Myrtle looks SO GOOD on you he beach 😮😊 😃 Good on you for picking up the crap from those A’holes! Our beaches are some of the best in this country and it infuriates me to the core!! Thanks for being you and for sharing. 😎☺️👌🏼🥰🤗😉👍🦆
turn land drones on objects turn it on sports mode instead of Normal or cine mode. this will turn off the bottom sensor and will allow you to land. Sports mode turns all censors off, but just be careful when flying around trees as there is no sensors to guide it. Can just turn it on Sports mode then quickly switch to normal mode before going through obstacles. This what I do with my DJI drone.
Practice landing any Dji Mini on your hand. Not by an open palm but a claw grip. Keep the going down stick pushed down until the propellers turned off while you already gripped the drone which does take a few seconds. And since you already gripped the drone from underneath firmly if things do "go south" you quickly can turn the drone upside down very quickly (props will spin up rapidly) away from you and anyone else and it will turn off automatically. This gripping method once practiced in no wind to light wind conditions can very helpful in high wind landings. Once you got that confidence you wont be afraid of the spinning propellers. And yes i got my fingers between the props already, but nothing to be concerned of 🖖 Do you guys realy more on local information since you got Myrtle comparing having the Troopy?
Really is a shame that some of these spots wont be available and it does seem to be happening more and more, maybe as you pointed out because people cant haul out what the haul in :(. Anyway, you wishing that you had put an awning on now? Would have been perfect for those afternoons looking over the ocean. Loving your work, keep it up.
If people want to camp go to a caravan park. We stayed at the same one for 8yrs and rented a van. Great walk to beach and bins everywhere. Barbeque area at the beach. Immaculate showers and toilets. Special bath for babies and toddlers. Washing machines and washing lines. A fishing cleaner table. Shower outside to remove sand. Kids could ride their bikes around there. All this to help keeping camping areas clean. STOP destroying our beaches and leaving your trash there. What toilets do you use 🤔
While we agree that there are campers with disgusting behavior around campsites and the general results are to shut it down, its a pity the authority's drafting and passing these laws are not prepared to enforce the very same laws. A few good well published fines upon these grotts, would go along way in sending a clear message to, cut it out or face the consequences. Atm all we see is alot of signage with no enforcement, yes they might do a blitz on occasion, but is that enough, l have no problem with making all beach sites a low cost facility, if they improve the enforcement as part of the cost. From what we have seen on the York Peninsula for the last 12 weeks, is that Low coast are supervised, free is sign posted but rarely visited by rangers For people who understand the rules and why they exist will have nothing to fear, only the idiots that wreck it for others to enjoy will be eventual driven out or alter their behavior. That's our thoughts anyway, lam sure the councils and enforcement bodies are trying, but maybe the only way forward is to make all free camping on the coastlines a low cost to enable more patrols to root out these morons stuffing it up for the rest of the community
It's sad to think we bought an off road caravan to visit places like this & now due to either (bad campers leaving shit or government decision) we are no longer able to stay here. How many more places will shut before our big trip next August. Disappointing indeed 😢😢
Social Media has screwed alot of places that were secret, even local fishing spots have been destroyed by social media and the volumes of people. Locales don't get a chance to enjoy what they have anymore without the hoardes of travellers. I used to also like my state and city before it doubled in population, so there's that aswell.
Bit of a shame these beautiful spots are getting closed down just because they are popular. Did you guys leave the hand break up on Myrtle ? Or do you use it when your parked up because you can’t trust the Landcruiser hand break ?
@ I think these spots just need a bit of management to stay open even if that means becoming low cost camping sites. few 😅 I’m very particular with my routine hooking up the Van glad I’m not the only one
Love the van. Bet you don't know yourselves after camping. I'm thinking 15 or 16 foot for me. But I can't do it yet I'm tied to home caring for 98yo mum after dad passed. But looking forward to getting away. Actor John jarratt set up a camp at Noosa north shore next to my chicken liver work mate Dazza. He packed up a n d left as he got scared. He hated his wolf creek horror movie.

You will love that hip camp honestly stunning! Thanks for watching enjoy the rest of your Sunday 🙏😃🎅
@itsJackandMegan you too 😁
If you note the reg. The fine in Victoria is $3000 for each item, and judges are willing to hand that fine out.
Wish I had got it hey!
Perfect spot for the Sunset :)
Stunning place hey!
Another awesome video! Merry Christmas and happy travels for 2025. Can you share the name of the incredible Hipcamp? I can’t find it.
Just subscribed. Good on ya for picking up the rubbish. Im sick a watching peanuts doing the wrong thing in the bush. If we ever catch you on the road, I got a crisp high 5 im saving for you guys. Thanks for doing the right thing and setting a positive example.
Thanks for subscribing mate!
Peanuts that’s exactly what they are. Come up and say Gday if you ever spot us!
I just spent 8 days on Waraultee beach, great place
Thing is, i wonder if the people that left that behind watch your channel and have a good laugh about it 😡 Well done guys for taking it with you.
I’m also wondering this!
Thank you for showing and shaming the thoughtless campers that give all other campers a bad rap… Good luck…
Thanks for watching! Yep unbelievable hey leaving stuff like that on the beach.
Enjoying your video now and I hate criticising but you need to cross your safety chains. 🤗
Bloody rippa camping ,and humour love it, cheers😊
Cheers Stuart!
Another great episode guys.
Oh can you please fix your rear side solar screen. It messes with my ocd each episode 🤣
😂😂 classic I fix it every day but falls off all the time haha
How long are you guys in south Australia for
Hey, unfortunately we have already started our journey over to WA.
Myrtle looks SO GOOD on you he beach 😮😊 😃
Good on you for picking up the crap from those A’holes!
Our beaches are some of the best in this country and it infuriates me to the core!!
Thanks for being you and for sharing. 😎☺️👌🏼🥰🤗😉👍🦆
Mert looked bloody good hey!!!
Did you put the hand brake down on the van
Yeah, doesn't look like it.
Great Episode... did ya take the shoes to the bin as well ?? :-) Oner day
@@Accolades70 glad you enjoyed this one! Yes we did 🫢
turn land drones on objects turn it on sports mode instead of Normal or cine mode. this will turn off the bottom sensor and will allow you to land. Sports mode turns all censors off, but just be careful when flying around trees as there is no sensors to guide it. Can just turn it on Sports mode then quickly switch to normal mode before going through obstacles. This what I do with my DJI drone.
Glad you enjoyed Waraultee Beach guys!! I was born & raised on Yorke Peninsula - & you're not far wrong saying this is the best beach in Australia!!
Nice view👍
Practice landing any Dji Mini on your hand. Not by an open palm but a claw grip. Keep the going down stick pushed down until the propellers turned off while you already gripped the drone which does take a few seconds. And since you already gripped the drone from underneath firmly if things do "go south" you quickly can turn the drone upside down very quickly (props will spin up rapidly) away from you and anyone else and it will turn off automatically. This gripping method once practiced in no wind to light wind conditions can very helpful in high wind landings. Once you got that confidence you wont be afraid of the spinning propellers. And yes i got my fingers between the props already, but nothing to be concerned of 🖖
Do you guys realy more on local information since you got Myrtle comparing having the Troopy?
Hey thanks for the tips mate!!
We just normally use wiki camps to find everything out.
Maybe some people are just too damn lazy to remove their own rubbish and wait for good people like you two to dispose of it. Thank you
Great video. If u get a chance try a Clare valley Riesling. One of my favourites
Thanks for watching! Will put this on the list 🙏😃🎅
Loving the videos guys….. have you thought of making mirtyl patches and Jack and Megan patches
Hey thanks for watching! Yes we have I’ll be getting onto these very soon and hopefully they’ll be available mid Jan!
From what we have seen on the York Peninsula for the last 12 weeks, is that Low coast are supervised, free is sign posted but rarely visited by rangers
For people who understand the rules and why they exist will have nothing to fear, only the idiots that wreck it for others to enjoy will be eventual driven out or alter their behavior.
That's our thoughts anyway, lam sure the councils and enforcement bodies are trying, but maybe the only way forward is to make all free camping on the coastlines a low cost to enable more patrols to root out these morons stuffing it up for the rest of the community
Same Jack, I don't like wineries either or wine tasting.
It’s a double edged sword
RUclips gives and takes
I understand the locals for the irresponsible side
My husband never calls me babe either - it's been "dear" from day one. He's old school!
🙏
It's sad to think we bought an off road caravan to visit places like this & now due to either (bad campers leaving shit or government decision) we are no longer able to stay here. How many more places will shut before our big trip next August. Disappointing indeed 😢😢
Social Media has screwed alot of places that were secret, even local fishing spots have been destroyed by social media and the volumes of people. Locales don't get a chance to enjoy what they have anymore without the hoardes of travellers.
I used to also like my state and city before it doubled in population, so there's that aswell.
Can understand your frustrations!
Bit of a shame these beautiful spots are getting closed down just because they are popular.
Did you guys leave the hand break up on Myrtle ? Or do you use it when your parked up because you can’t trust the Landcruiser hand break ?
Hey it is sad hey! Also no I put it down of camera.
@ I think these spots just need a bit of management to stay open even if that means becoming low cost camping sites.
few 😅 I’m very particular with my routine hooking up the Van glad I’m not the only one
The wheel comes off the GROUND! Not the floor!
Yeah trust me, you really gotta pick your fights with Jack’s vocabulary 🤣
What beach was that in the first section
Absolutely stunning
Don't panic plenty of other beaches to go to in Aust.
that's why l keep my spots a secret, free spots are closing down all over australia
OMG please can you share road map to get to it
more and mor people are exploring Australia, it was always going to happen. It is no ones fault.
👍
Love the van. Bet you don't know yourselves after camping. I'm thinking 15 or 16 foot for me. But I can't do it yet I'm tied to home caring for 98yo mum after dad passed. But looking forward to getting away.
Actor John jarratt set up a camp at Noosa north shore next to my chicken liver work mate Dazza. He packed up a n d left as he got scared. He hated his wolf creek horror movie.
