I was, and still am, an avid player of the original which can only be described as a masterpiece. One thing I am most excited for in this sequel os the ability to fully customise our craft with body parts, but one thing I would just like to know about is the lore. For instance, do ASERA and Conqueror Technologies still have that white-hot rivalry that they shared in the first game? Did Sulha AG Racing manage to fit a third engine onto their craft? Will there be any new teams or have some teams folded? And just general timeline considerations. But yes, thoroughly looking forward to this!!
I find it interesting that they show the badges on the crafts at the very beginning of it and they show every team BUT Sulha. Hoping that doesn’t mean anything for the final Game, Sulha was my favorite.

@@Nitroboost245 sounds like fun to me. The only one I’m not happy to see back is Koenniggswerth (I think I spelled that right), I never did like them but was always good with the rest. Let’s hope they’re all as good as they were in the first game

Hoping to see more! Maybe it's because it's a trailer and has to show more wow, but it looks a bit slower than Redout 1, but I think it's because of that, to let the viewers see all it's glory!

PLEASE have either a Neptune-ish track complete with another dramatic and fully orchestral soundtrack or just a complete port of that stage and soundtrack. Redout was indeed and is still a very special game, but Neptune... a truly cherished experience. I would hate to see it or its spirit left behind.

The first game was very cool, but I wish the handling felt less loose. Regardless will still pick this up. Hope some ships have tighter handling.

The ship engine sound similar to wipeout omega collection (especially that tremolo effect), and that's some burnout vibes right there! (camera action movements)

Will the game feature a track builder, either at launch or in a future content update?
Probably not. But the last game had 60 tracks by the time development for it ceased. Track editors rarely meet quality standards. Huge waste of time. Better time spend on actual tracks up to par with the rest of the game

Would be fun to find hidden bunnies again on the track, but After Zeph decided no buns were allowed (or any sort of fun, just, edge-lord try-hard competitive garbage), who the fuck knows!?
I hope you guys give this one VR support too. I still recommend the first game to people who are looking for VR games.
First one didn't have VR support. It let you put on an HMD. But copied the image to both eyes. It had no depth.

I really want this to be a good game so please, please improve the audio! It's a huge part of what makes or breaks a game, especially in this genre.
1. This is not a car racing game so why do the engines sound like car engines? It's just weird and ruins the immersion for me.
2. Vehicles colliding with stuff should sound like sword clanging.
3. The engine boost sounds at 00:42 and 00:52 are so tame they drown in the sound track.
4. Speaking of soundtrack.. Redout 1 had some great sound track so I was really disappointed hearing this new one. It's bland 90s rock that is not improved by adding dubstep sounds, generic swearing and cranking the loudness to eleven. It's loud, ear-tiring sound porridge. 5. I'm listening through good headphones but it would probably sound about the same through the laptop speakers... I hear lot's of treble and mids but where is the Base?!

Less singleplayer grinding please. People having to unlock their content is what suffocates the online scene.
Not everybody enjoys the online scene. Some of us enjoy the single player more, and if things become only available in multiplayer then it suffocates the single player, which is the main focus of the game anyways.
@@The_Blyatman I don't want anything to be exclusive to multiplayer. I'm referring to the game locking maps and ships behind a singleplayer progression. This creates a hurdle for people who want to compete online right away and that keeps the online community small.

Hope this game will have better track design and not an insane and uneven difficulty level which made redout unplayable and unenjoyable.
Redout was stupid easy and the AI are lap-able in 3 laps. I haven't played in years, just gave it a go again today, and I only saw the AI for the first corner of any race.
@@Wylie288 it always felt like the ai had rubber banding on steroids, I wanted to like the game, but the aggressive ai and bad track design just made me quit and move on to another game, and I am a dark souls fan, but this game was harder than any dark souls type game. I will give the game another try to see of things have been patched.
When you are already copying WipeOUT, why not copy the title too? Nice job!
I think it's a play on words - simultaneously referencing its status as a homage to Wipeout and the meaning of "red out" meaning loss of consciousness from negative G forces.
@MWay And Cairo's really tame compared to the other tracks in Redout!
It's hard to even make it through Neptune's tracks without crashing several times unless you know exactly where they go.
The game is more akin to the F-Zero series in how it plays. Though there are powerups but they're not scattered about the track and instead equipped. So, other than the similar name, Redout and Wipeout have more differences than similarities.
