That was an awesome race. I seen it from the best seat in the house... On the flag stand (no seat) That was my first year flagging at oakshade and I was told they don't think I was flagging that race cuz the Hell Tour were bringing their own flag man that must have fell through they start calling me on loudspeaker I booked straight to the flag stand. About 15 ft of the track right in front of me was so tore up late models were bouncing so hard they were folding the front end under the cars look like they hit the wall head-on and was still rolling but didn't. But intermission they scraped and flip the top foot of the track all the way around and took a while but did a hell of a job. I am definitely back for more this year
I am a local and it downpoured the night before and the track crew was not prepared. I have never seen the track this bad before. Please don't let this be your impression on our track because we are better than this.

They (track owners) should be Ashamed of themselves!! John would have that track prepped RIGHT. I raced there back in the day and you could race from the Top to the Bottom. I can't blame the guys that loaded (not even running their heat or consi's) up because it makes No Sense to tear up a car because of a JUNK TRACK. SMDH!!!!
100% This! Far removed from the days of Patterson, Paxton, and Yoder. It’s a damn shame. When the track is actually prepped, it’s a damn racy track. Just have to put some money and effort into it.
