Elon Musk, before he started Space X, approached NASA about what their future plans were for traveling to Mars, they told him they didn't have any at that time. So he put a fortune of his OWN money into his company. He risked EVERYTHING on his companies, and was only able to win contracts after he proved the science of getting his rockets to space cheaply and proving the success of his electric cars and ability to mass produce. Like Henry Ford didn't invent the automobile, he just figured out how to mass produce it cheaply. This is what Elon Musk is doing for the world. Leading the way in affordable, sustainable energy, mass producing it and selling it to the world. All while trying to expand humanity's horizon.
He won't fail.

Well, at the age of 12 he made a game and sold to a company, the money started coming from there on, and later he also made a banking type software that later became Pay pal which made him tons of money and he didn't waste it, he invested it and made his fortunes himself. He is a self made man.

Tesla is basically nuclear cars (until we get fusion), rockets are pretty much the clunkiest largely military technology there is though reusable is a plus. It is amazing he pulled off a revolution in big metal industries, but the vision of mars just seems silly.

Once you graduate, you realize that certain conversations are worth more than all of your college classes combined. Being in the company of people like Elon Musk and learning from them can have a greater effect on your life than memorizing facts enough to pass a test.
I wouldn't say degrees are totally useless but education still has a long way to go from hypotheticals to practical real-life skills that can actually make you successful.

I am 18 years old from January this year. I was so childish all the time thus making me still hard to realize that I am grown up, not only by age but by my weight, weight of life. I am started realizing the jump of level in everything that has come in my life now.
My responsibilities, tension for my carrier, an increase in the level of knowledge, and most importantly the change in society for me, their way of looking at me. This all is now a push-up for me to show a change and need to change.
Sometimes I feel depressed thinking about my efforts that I know are not at all enough to fulfill my dreams but these little pushes make me keep walking the way slowly...
I hope someday I will achieve and make those mental fantasies of life real.

I am in accounting and I love creating new solutions.
Current problem is finding employers that say they want solutions but shoot things down, as small as Excel automations.
So I'm going back to school to get my CPA so I can play with the bigger kids and create a firm with like minded others.
I admire this person a lot .... Its like RESPECT not Because what he is now but what he has been through, those challenges...

I also completed master of engineering 4 years back eventhough I couldn't get jobs to build my carrier And I couldn't accomplish my dreams and passion towards technology. I am tired of searching jobs. I don't know how to utilize my knowledge in effectively. But I never give up and I never underestimate the knowledge and skills that I have today. Am waiting for the day to achieve success and stand on my own legs.

elon is not only business-minded he is also incredibly a techno genius too. He literally designs and directs the things he does on tesla and spacex. Ya'll know the crazy formulas, trial and error, probability analysis, and so much math and science behind innovative creations! And the fact that he does not boast his presence on stage and stays awkward and doesnt try to demand respect by the tone of his voice already tells you the kind of guy he is. He is even well-respected by his employees.
