@@stephen32frazier so sorry for your loss, definitely the worst part about getting older is losing family...lost my grandmother exactly 6 months after my dad, literally 6 months to the day. They say it comes in 3's so here i sit, waiting to see who's next 😔
In 1999, my husband and I started hanging out. We both loved “bighair” music, and he taught himself to play guitar @ age 14, watching vhs rewind of Eddie playing. He introduced me to this song at the age of 26 when we started hanging. It was our song. We just celebrated our 20 year anniversary 3/13/2021, with a Van Halen inspirited theme. This song, has and always will, be a blessing to remember the times that delivered me such new beginnings and joy. Today, our Yorkie “Linus” (of 16 yrs, just one months shy of 17) passed away. He was the guardian angel of our marriage for 18 of the 20. But the past year and a half more so. A lot happened over the years. The past year and a half the hardest. But he held on to make sure that we were ok , and whether Ed the storm, he left us. This song, is the song that says it all. He is now free, and iwith the Lord. He is flying. RIP My little dude, Linus…
Have no heard this song in a long time finally heard it in the radio a little while ago then came here and found it herelove the video thank you for sharingit
STILL one of favorite solo songs since the album release.. I was actually sitting in the snow at my dad's grave on his Christmas Day a few years ago after a decent snow here.... it stopped and I heard a bird call from far away. Turned and looked and saw a bald eagle way up high !! It turned and began to circle high above me for 5 min
R.I.P. to my childhood best friend, Brad Buchmann. Just stopped at his old family's cabin in Manitowish Waters, WI. The cabin his Grandfather built is still standing. It's been over 25yrs since I was here. This song was his favorite to listen to while here as kids. Fly high brother, you've been missed!!!!
I was in West Denver on I70 just entering the beautiful stretch of mountains. I stopped to fill up my tank and “I heard an eagle cry.” I looked up in the tree next to me and there is this beautiful eagle looking at me. I never saw one in the wild before. I hit the road and spent the next several hours in the most beautiful place on earth on my way to Aspen. I totally related to this song the entire tine I spent in the beautiful Rocky mountains. If you haven’t taken that trip before, it’s a must for your bucket list!
LOVED the Rockies ! 70 was my drive to West Vail for a 3 week construction job. You know, at Any time , if I felt that I was having a bad day I would look up from where I was and those negative feeling would just 'wash away' !
I came in over a pair of red-tailed hawks over Paisly, OR and they climbed up through me. Same altitude for a couple turns and they were 120-degrees across the circle and 150' away. And one cut across the circle and flared hard 20' in front of me with legs down and talons showing...jealous of its mate? I've always loved this song!
Love this song. Let’s fly away Where Eagles Fly ❤️😍I have spent many hours hanging out with so many Bald Eagles in the winter migration on the Skagit River in Concrete, WA. Absolutely incredible!!
This song is One of my all-time favorite Sammy Hagar Tunes it's Magical IT MOVES ME. It makes me think of all those people who held a special place in my life who are no longer with us. At times it still hurts like hell to get along without them. But this song just turns it all around gets me tuned in. A little different hearing the song now there's just no way I can seem to stop thinking about Eddie whenever I hear this. I remember the first time I actually really met and talked with him I was just before you guys were going on your OU 812 tour. When he was still together with Valerie they pulled up to that that magazine place news new stand on Ventura boulevard there on the corner of Roscoe you know where I'm talking about Sammy. Yeah she had just got through clocking him a good one to the side of the head. I walked up to the driver side of his truck when he rolled the window down I said damn looks like she connected good and he said oh you saw that huh I said yeah I sure did but not nearly as much as you felt it Ed and. He said I'll screw you what's your name I said it's Al this is screw you out but we talked I asked him a few things like. Has he ever found anything that compares to that high you get from coming out and everybody's just singing along chatting to something that you created of course he said no I said that I didn't think you would. I also told him I'd been watching and play going to see him ever since they used to play in Pasadena. Then he just sort of took me off guard when he said well thanks Al thank you very much Al it is out right I said yeah it's Al he said good thank you and we just started to laugh. As they started to leave it was wild we both said they thank you for the talk I really had a great time then we sort of laughed a little again. He said how hang on before you leave I want to give you something so he grabbed one of those cards he had in his truck and he wrote on there it's to my real good friend now all you ate one too hope to see you there buddy your friend Eddie. Connect to Thomas I saw him really shocked me.

I came home home from my girlfriend's one night, real late. Got off my bike, walked to my cabin and heard this GOD AWFUL SCREAM like a lady being murdered in my woods!!! That was a screeching owl in my tree above my cabin!!! That was no Eagle, no!

Kudos lady that's one of my favorite songs too and Sammy Hagar can really am impressed with how old he is because I knew him when I was younger and I'm 63 and he's 70 something and he was kind of like my big brother when I was down in California and I screwed up cuz I could have been with Montrose I came back to deal with my girlfriend at the time and ended up staying here longer and when the record deal come up they needed me down there within 72 hours cuz they were they were going into the and and yeah recording and I didn't make it and I don't say that I regret it because I have two beautiful awesome children and I got seven grandkids eight grandkids and I couldn't ask for anything better if I would have been with Montrose I would probably be dead by now because drug and alcohol took a toll in my life and it's not anymore so anyway cool I'm glad your dad loved it awesome seriously awesome
An amazing song off an album he was only doing to honor his record deal who insisted on another studio album, not a live or greatest hits. After releasing it he was free to join Van Halen
This is my favorite hang gliding song. I have literally soars with eagles and have washed the Earth from my face in hours long flights where I wasn't sure I could ever get back down to the ground and wasn't sure I wanted to. :D
Isaiah 40:28-31 "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

23 seconds in I saw SJ on the tail. I was stationed at seymour Johnson AFB NC for 13 years and lived in base housing near the flightline and saw F-15 Eagles flying non stop from my house. Cool time in my life.
My dad used to play this in his car all the time
This needs to be on the US Air Force website

It just doesn't get any better than this, when you just can't take it any more !!!!
A beautiful song
This song came out in 1987, while I was in college. A great song by Sammy H., what nostalgic memories!
62 thumbs down? They must've had their heads up their butts when they rated it! The Red Rocker's best song in my book. If you suffer from Low T (and I don't), listen to this song.
More than 200 now
Allsports Doctor some people are just absolute douche bags and just don't get it!!! GREAT SONG BY MR SAMMY HAGAR!!!
I came home home from my girlfriend's one night, real late. Got off my bike, walked to my cabin and heard this GOD AWFUL SCREAM like a lady being murdered in my woods!!! That was a screeching owl in my tree above my cabin!!! That was no Eagle, no!
Powerful and Majestic!
My son died to soon, Brandon was 19, it was an early Sunday morning when he was found. I've listened to this song for the last 5 years. Never a dry eye and never gets easier.

Sunday morning 7:03, I have heard from my school years that this country was founded on Christian principles and also I have been told the bible was written by human beings inspired by Holy Spirit. Sammy, keep the Holy Spirit inspiring songs like this for all of mankind, and sisterhood brotherhood from sea to shining sea.
I remember seeing Van Halen in concert at Madison Square Garden in NY..and he said how everyone does a solo performance and he did this song acoustic...blew me away..first time I heard it..great vocals...ran out next day to buy it...one of my favorite songs..love ya Sammy
Sammy you killed it with this beautiful song I’ve always been a red rocker fan since 80”s
Great song and video. Thanks. Lots of memories in high school listening to this song.
An amazing song off an album he was only doing to honor his record deal who insisted on another studio album, not a live or greatest hits. After releasing it he was free to join Van Halen
This album was released after VH
This is the most perfect song for us Eagleholics. Thanks for posting this one. Perfect!
This is my favorite hang gliding song. I have literally soars with eagles and have washed the Earth from my face in hours long flights where I wasn't sure I could ever get back down to the ground and wasn't sure I wanted to. :D
Very simple and majestic video that was inspiring and soothing to the soul...Thank You for sharing!!!
You're very welcome!
Xoxo this song. Sammy you're just so awesome for giving us this.
Isaiah 40:28-31 "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Amen...
Amen
Nice!
