For any copyright, please send me a message. Derek Acorah 's former Most Haunted co-star Yvette Fielding has spoken out about his death after a 14 year feud following their TV stint together. Yvette starred on the medium show with Derek from 2002 to 2006, when Derek was kicked off the show. Following the announcement that Derek had died on Friday at the age of 69, Yvette released a statement via her agent. The message stated: "Our condolences are with Derek’s family at this time. Yvette and Karl," and was signed off by the star and her husband Karl Beattie, who was a co-creator of the show with Yvette. Derek was fired from Most Haunted after being duped into channeling a fake personality called Kreed Kafer - an anagram for Derek Faker - during an episode. Yvette spoke about Derek's sacking when it happened, saying: "We tell people everything is real, then it turns out he was a fake, so he had to go." Derek hit back at Yvette, saying she was "egotistical," adding: "She decided when I left the show that she didn't want to talk to me any more. There was no need for it and it was very sad." Despite Derek claiming that his spiritual guide Sam had made a mistake, he was asked to leave the show, and in 2015 Yvette axed mediums completely from Most Haunted. He later claimed that Yvette had been "jealous" of his success, telling the Belfast Telegraph in 2015: "It doesn't matter at all what people like Yvette Fielding say - I don't allow them to run me down," he insisted. "I've been crucified and lied about; there is a lot of jealousy out there, but I haven't opened my mouth about Yvette for years - I had a confidentiality clause and if I'd said anything negative, I'd have been sued and pursued and all my money would have been taken away." His wife Gwen confirmed his passing on Facebook, and later revealed that he had been taken to hospital for sepsis, and later died of pneumonia. She also slammed a "vile couple" for hounding him during his last hours, and told the Sun that their messages to him "had been going for a while" and had come from jealousy of his status. Gwen told The Sun that she would never forgive the couple, saying they were sending him vile messages while he was in hospital.
How can she call Derek a fake? In all the episodes, she would bring him in without him having knowledge of the investigation. And every time he was on the button. Derek was set up by a moron on her show that was jealous of Derek Acorah. I refused to watch her broadcasts after how Derek was treated. She should be ashamed of herself, and the moron that set Derek up will get his someday. Derek Acorah was true; he was a professional, and someone will always be jealous when you are as good as he is. Rest in peace, Derek; you will always be the best.
He seemed like a nice man. The way she has treated him after his death is disgusting. He has no chance of defending himself now obviously. What a nasty thing she did

There's just too many examples of him faking stuff, also, Gwen did the research (the majority of which was available online) before each show. When they had a website I remember they posted a photo of a ghost (i think someone playing a pipe) and eagle-eyed commenters didn't take long to find the picture of the real life guy it was taken from. The superimposed pictures matched perfectly, it was just laughable and disappointing. Despite this, I get the impression he was a really nice, gentle person who believed in what he was doing. Karl and Yvette really treated him like shit - even most youtube debunkers think there was no need for their behaviour. Karl and Yvette have been caught on camera faking numerous times, so they are total hypocrites.
@@SuzD0n Derek was a gentleman. They should be looking at Ciaran O'Keefe. He set Derek up, and yet no one has brought this up. I believe O'Keefe was jealous of Derek. Derek Acorah had a following, and even in the States, he was famous. O'Keefe is trash, and I don't care what credentials he holds; that doesn't preclude him from being a fake himself. And as far as Karl and Yvette go, they're a has been. They were who they were because of Derek Acorah. As far as I and many are concerned, Derek Acorah will never be replaced. He is, was, and always will be a gentleman.

@Zombiecraft Probably learnt his acting craft on the football field taking dives! I did like Derek and the the program changed after he left and so much was set up...shame the orbs stopped and the whistles began. It seemed credible early on.

What the hell was Karl and Yvette jealous of Derek truth is he didn't like being found out he was a fake.
Because when most haunted started derek took nearly all of the spotlight. He was the reason people tuned in.
I personally think that Derek was under such a big pressure to always come up with the answers and being the best, I really think he was a very good medium, but I just don't know how much insider knowledge he got, I believe most of it was he's own, I watched it from the very beginning and was always a true believer, now a days I don't know what to believe and Stuart's double in one of the episodes, honestly.. I don't know what to believe and it seems like every time I believe in a ghosthunting team it turns out that they are fake and just care to get subscriber's and I'm so sick 'n tired of it and it really makes me feel stupid and it ruins it for the very few who's deeply dedicated and don't cheat and it has ruined my believe so I absolutely don't know anymore, what's fake and what's not.. I hate when they make me believe and it turns out to be fake, it makes me sad and angry, but fake or not, I liked Derek Acorah, so rest in peace Derek, it was way to early at only 69

She believed everything he said for years and it was all lies. So I'm sorry, I'm not surprised she was pissed. The fact he is dead changes nothing. Scammers on that level should not receive sympathy

Derek had a regular article in Take a Break Fate & Fortune magazine. The Irony is only about a month or so before he passed away. He mentioned that his spirit guide "Sam" Told him he would live until his 80's. Derek passed at 69. So didn't even make his 70's. And isn't it odd that none of these types . Didn't predict this dreadful Pandemic.
Two con people who made money over the years out of vulnerable people, they are a disgrace. He can scam no more., bet he didn't see this coming. No sympathy for a guy who has taken money from people when there at their most vulnerable. She only heard cash tills ringing and even said she didn't beleive in ghosts in her show, but was happy to make money through his stage show act filmed in dark buildings.Glad to see the back of this rubbish, now he can chat all he wants to his dead friends.
