    You did a phenomenal job. Thank you for providing the blueprint sheet; I will attempt to make it with my father as when I was younger we enjoyed making together.

    Actually, the E-11 Blaster rifle from Star Wars Battlefront II IS the same as the one in the movie. For each movie, there are small changes, the video game version is the one from Return of the Jedi.

    That silver wear combined with the imperfection in the fins really sells it as worn metal. I really want to try my hand at something like this one day

    It’s amazing the see what the E11 blaster was before it became the E11 blaster! It started in real life as the Sterling L2A1 9mm submachine Gun as used by the British Army, I know, it was my personal weapon until replaced by the SA80 in 1990 for me as a combat medic. I have downloaded the free pattern for this and will be making!

    Wow!, really fast and accurate build despite making a second barrel.
    Svetlana please, pretty please always push the blade away from you while sharpening. One safety rule I picked up from a woodworker was before you use any tool, ask yourself "where is it going if I slip/slide/drop it?",... if it has anything to do with parts of your body then rethink how you are using that tool. Most of my mistakes happen at home in the "bastelkeller" rather than at construction sites.

    A secondary reference for the E-11, the movie props were actually Sterling Submachine Guns that were modified to look like blasters. Some people even use Sterling SMG airsoft guns as a basis for an E-11 prop, but that is definitely not the cheap way to go. ;)

    Nice work, all that thiny things... but the Blaster Design itself is a simply very lightly copy of the britsch "Sterling" Sub Machinegun which where in service from die 50's to the early 1980's.

    • @gringofett3944
      @gringofett3944 5 лет назад

      And oddly enough she probably put more work into this foam replica than the original SMG. The Sterling was a war time production weapon. It was stamped metal and cost about $20.00 to manufacture. That's about 200.00 in todays money. Back in the 80's people in the US built them from kits out of exhaust pipe.
