The landlord for my last place took me to a tribunal over the mould on the carpet caused by the rain that was coming in from the hole in the roof. After discussing their mutual golf club, the tribunal member ordered me to pay. That bit (and so much of this) was way too real.
To be clear ... there was a hole in the roof, which eventually caused the ceiling in the living room to collapse. I moved out 3 months later because he refused to repair the 60cm wide hole in the ceiling in the living room, which you could see open sky through. And only after that he sued me for the carpet underneath and won. Praise be to him. He knew the tribunal convener personally.
