Not a coincidence. Barnabas is clearly meant to be an homage to DMC. Hell, once he starts blocking your attacks, he frequently responds with his own Stringer attack, which is almost exactly the same way Vergil responded in that first DMC3 duel. You hit him enough, he blocks your attacks, and then Rapid Slashes forward.
I would recommend using shiva for this fight as he attacks so often it gives you lots of opportunities to use permafrost plus you can use heatwave to deflect gungnir just a little tip
Bro, you should do a Clive vs his infernal shadow video (that one bossfight where he uses the limit break for the first time) but using Find Your Flame theme
Jesus fckin' Christ the chills when began Bury the Light... Fits perfectly with this fight ❤🔥 My fav part is when Clive becomes the Storm that is approaching and reclaiming his name.
Hear me out, but Liquid Flame, with Stains of Time. {Got passed it today on final fantasy mode finally and I gotta admit, the song fits weirdly enough XD}
I'll get around to that! Thank you for the recommendation -- that said, am currently working on a Metal Gear Rising video, and once I'm done with that, I'll be doing Titan Lost (Rules of Nature + Hot Wind Blowing). Then it'll be Liquid Flame's time -- hope that's okay!
So glad that the game based on Northwestern European culture and aesthetics had Odin be such a threat. Also, the inclusion of the old English was an awesome touch.
@@fermyonds Hey! Glad to have given you the idea, take your time. Editing these kinds of things are hard, and while I personally don't do it, I know just how much effort and time goes into it. So just keep it up and we will be here when the next releases!
Bro Odin's whack speech at 12:37 goes wild. Final Fantasy has always been a "100 year old inbred franchise" to my outside view, but that voice acting is on meth
I have considered it and I will do it! (Hot wind blowing + Rules of nature) That said, I'm currently working on a Metal Gear Rising video, so maybe Titan Lost will be for next week or so
Each numbered FF sets up it's own world and timeline. Unless a game shares the same number as another FF, it won't be directly related. For example, Final Fantasy 4: The After Years is a follow-up to Final Fantasy 4.
I've only done this fight once when I was doing my first playthrough, I pretty much forgot most of his moves / when I should use Zantetsuken (admittedly I was aiming to do that outside the stagger window since it seemed cooler) Yeah I sucked
I get that -- Honestly I just looked at Barnabas and thought of Vergil / Jetstream Sam -- but I absolutely agree that the original OST for him fits way better
Barnabas was basically like the main Rival for Clive , he was like Vergil
He was such a fun villain too
Gabriel Belmont took vacation into Final Fantasy universe.
Barnabas: Show me a good time, Mythos! Amateur! Try harder! I feel alive! Now we're talking!
Funnily enough I truly was an amateur here x)
*MOTIVATED*
Skill level be damned, I love the way you've been approaching these!
Thank you so much!
*Clive and Barnabas fighting*
Odin: mind if i cut in?
Dude the third phase looks exactly like the first vergil fight in dmc3

@@Eziokilla9595so he is basically vergil
@Eziokilla9595 Also level 5 Zantetsuken is basically Judgement Cut End.
"You will never know it's power" This line is clearly referencing Vergil's quote as well
Barnabas coming out as the psycho killer that he is threw me for a loop.
He was op that he literally got bored, until he met Clive
I dont know how youre doing this but those are absolutely amazing. Great content man!
Thank you so much!
Big props for using the original Dante vs Vergil theme from 5. I know every loves bury the light, but The Duel will always be the superior theme imo
I absolutely love that track -- It kind of reminds me a lot of the DMC3 vs. vergil themes
Divine Hate is way more hype imo, especially Vergil's version
Pistols at dawn and I won't need backup, heathen. lol
I really should've practised this fight more. Also maybe it's not a good idea to use Titan's block if you don't know the timings...
I would recommend using shiva for this fight as he attacks so often it gives you lots of opportunities to use permafrost plus you can use heatwave to deflect gungnir just a little tip
Didn't know that heatwave works for that! I thought just dodging + jumping can avoid it. This is actually good to know
Heatwave CD bracelet has been permaequipped for me since the start lol its the bane of all projectiles
Or you could use Rook's Gambit to do perfect dodge where you can shred Barnabas' stagger bar very fast than using Gouge
Entrusting your freewill to a Fales God?
FOOLISHNESS BARNABAS FOOLISHNESS!
Barnabas was "motivated" in the 3rd phase.
Bro, you should do a Clive vs his infernal shadow video (that one bossfight where he uses the limit break for the first time) but using Find Your Flame theme
I'll do that as well! For now I'm working on a lengthier / more editing heavy Metal Gear Rising video
Jesus fckin' Christ the chills when began Bury the Light... Fits perfectly with this fight ❤🔥
My fav part is when Clive becomes the Storm that is approaching and reclaiming his name.
honestly I kinda wanna remake this at some point :) I feel like I could make it better -- and thank you so much. Hope you enjoyed it!

@@fermyonds hell yeah Titan Lost is my favorite Boss in the game!. Take all the time you need to keep making works of art!.
You're too kind x)
So glad that the game based on Northwestern European culture and aesthetics had Odin be such a threat.

So, according to this, Slepnir to Crimson Cloud when?
I could actually do that! Currently focused on something else but I will keep this in mind

Lost Titan Fight with Rules of Nature, when!?
I might do that this week but no promises yet x)
16:56 - 20:00😮 SO COOL fight !!
I'm glad you found it cool -- I'll have to remake this someday x)
I've gotta wonder how your gonna do Ultima. Gonna keep to Revengeance or dabble into some Sonic Frontiers rock?
Same as I did here -- probably use a track or two from Rising and then some other OST/track x)
@@fermyonds You should try to fit Undefeatable into the Ultima fight.
Bro Odin's whack speech at 12:37 goes wild. Final Fantasy has always been a "100 year old inbred franchise" to my outside view, but that voice acting is on meth
I actually am so happy that voice acting in English dubs has gotten insanely better in the last few years. Things like these are a gem
David Menkin knocks it out of the park, he's easily one of the best voice actors in Xenoblade 2 as well, as Malos.
You should consider a edit for Lost titan if you haven't yet
I have considered it and I will do it! (Hot wind blowing + Rules of nature) That said, I'm currently working on a Metal Gear Rising video, so maybe Titan Lost will be for next week or so
i don't know anything about final fantasy but this looks amazing
Welcome to the club. This was my first FF game as well x)
this is the first final fantasy with this insane combat gameplay bruh. the peak for me

How do you miss TWO Zantetsukens?
I've only done this fight once when I was doing my first playthrough, I pretty much forgot most of his moves / when I should use Zantetsuken (admittedly I was aiming to do that outside the stagger window since it seemed cooler)
Yeah I sucked
It's not about the damage, it's about sending a message
@@The_LightArrow What message is missing TWO ZANTETSUKEN's sending to the dude you're supposed to style on?
why would Odin not know how to dodge his own move
@@SpaceElvisInc Every other guy figured out how to finish him off with Zantetsuken, I dunno wtf yer on about.
Cool idea. The execution and tracks chosen could have been better, in my opinion. The tracks used aren’t very fitting.

@@fermyonds I think Soulcalibur Music would fit well with Barnabas.
So what's going to be Stains of time?
Liquid Flame!
And Ultima?
@@emangillespie I'll most likely do Collective Consciousness and then some Sonic Frontiers OST added into the mix
Yes
It’s on 360p only why is that?
I think RUclips was still processing it to HD at that time. It seems better now at least. That said, compression is a bitch xD
Final Fantasy 16 is too good for RUclips.
