This was the easiest tutorial for the barrel twist! Also, I now have my hairstyle once I get my starter twist(if my hair is not too short and it doesn’t hurt)😅! So elegant and perfect for work…and how I typically wear my hair but locs set it off beautifully!
hiii, new subbie! 🥰 i will be starting my loc journey in a couple months and i really wanted to learn how to do this. other videos i watched seemed complicated and started to frustrate me 😩 thank you for breaking it down and explaining it so clearly! ❤️
Very detailed I love it thank you so much and you had slowed it down for us most people move so fast through it and I really don’t get to see how they start off
I have enjoyed this video. I am #newsubscriber and I may try this with Sisterlocks. I am also documenting my journey on RUclips. Thank you for sharing.
Your hair looks beautiful! I never had locks or twist and this might sound like a dumb question. Can you take the locks out or do you have to cut them out if you decide you don't want them anylonger?
Thank you! Not a dumb question at all. You can do either or...it seems like it takes a while to comb out looks and you will likely lose a lot of hair so most people but theirs odd because it’s quicker and less frustrating
So are they supposed to be even or on a slope I’m asking because I’ve tried this style before and it looks just like yours but I’ve seen it even what causes that?!?
I think the amount of locs you have and the way you part your hair for this style. Additionally practice and consistency as it relates to how you wrap you locs, etc. I think it can go either way you want straight or slope.
No they are not suppose to be lose unless that’s what you want it’s helpful to twist the loc in the direction of your retwist or when you are wrapping the loc around the base you may have to wrap tighter and try to wrap the loc twice

Cuute and great tips!

I wish I could do this style on my locs my locs are tailbone length but I suck a styling so I mostly wear my hair in a ponytail
Oh wow so long!! I feel like styling longer locs would definitely take time but may some variations of barrel twist would feel more feasible
So beautiful you’re so pretty sis…..#locd thanks for the video!!

What did you use on your edges?
I used Ebin New York 24 hr edge control
Tomorrow makes a week I’ve started my locs. I had instant locs done and my scalp is soooo itchy lol! I want to wash it so bad
Omg I know the feeling and don’t be afraid to wash your locs of your scalp is irritated
@@PeacewithSha YES! 🥰🙌🏾That’s why I watched this so I can do my barrels over that she did initially!
@@sunnidtv facts lol! Go luck with your twist ✨
Do you retwist your own hair or loctitian?
Hey 👋🏾 yes I do. I have yet to try a loctitian but maybe one day
Are these supposed to be lose? Cuz when I did mine they came out a lot loser than it looks.
No they are not suppose to be lose unless that’s what you want it’s helpful to twist the loc in the direction of your retwist or when you are wrapping the loc around the base you may have to wrap tighter and try to wrap the loc twice
