They should sell this video and a record of these artists performing these classic treasures and they will make more than enough to keep that sacred musical roof up for years to come.
Just beautiful . I’ve been crying almost the whole way through . All those great songs played on all those beautiful instruments .. I love country music forever
magic from instruments can be felt as you play them and when you add this much talent to Angel guided instruments you get living prayers that are shaped like musical notes that soothe and coat a roughed up soul making the trip of life teflon coated
It’s like a Time Machine come to life. Seeing these incredible musicians play these instruments and play these timeless songs, you can actually imagine footage of Keith Whitley, Ray Charles, The Carter Family, Patsy and Cash singing these songs and playing these instruments. And Marty Stuart, who could ask for a better host for this night? He “Is” country music. He keeps the stories alive, he keeps the preservation of country music alive. It’s up to us now to continue to keep the spirit of country music alive. Way to go
Country music has always been an important part of my life. My grandparents had a beer joint with a jukebox. Getting a couple of quarters and picking out those songs was such a special part of the visit. Country music has provided so much of the soundtrack of my life. Thanks for preserving, honoring and loving country music❤
It must be said that Marty is an absolute fantastic guitar player. I've never heard anyone play a telecaster and making it sound like a steel guitar. I love this
Marty Stuart is an Angel walking amongst us, showing us secrets and bringing Earthly treasures of past Angels into our lives as part of the choir of Angels as they provide our clouded ways the comfort to smile, reminisce and feel Hope, the most important thing anyone can give to anyone
Whoever it was that organized this should be welcomed with open arms wherever they go. I come from a music family as my dad played chicken picken back in the sixties and once at the grand ol op. My mothers side Jenkins and Parsons, had many great musicians as you see in Dolly Parton whose family bought our families land next to Jenkins land in Sevierville, Tennessee.
This Hall Of Fame museum is one of the main museums that I will hopefully visit someday along with it's Hall Of Fame museum brothers in Memphis and Cleveland are a must for me to hopefully see someday. Some of the instruments that were played by these people were of the following: • Bill Monroe's 1923 Gibson Lloyd Loar F5 Master Model Mandolin • Earl Scruggs' 1930 Gibson RB Granada Mastertone Flathead 5 String Banjo • Lester Flatt's 1950 Martin D 28 Guitar • Jimmie Rodgers' 1928 Weymann Custom Built Guitar • John Prine's 1972 Custom Built David Russell Young Guitar • Keith Whitley's 1980 Custom Built C.W. Parsons Guitar • Buck Owens's Harmony 'Buck Owens American' Model Guitar • Don Rich's 1964 Fender Silver Sparkle Telecaster Guitar • Mother Maybelle Carter's 1928 Gibson L5 Guitar • Johnny Cash's 1968 Custom Built Martin D 35 Guitar • Randy Travis' 1991 Gibson Hawaiian Koa J 185 Guitar • Loretta Lynn's 1956 Gibson J 50 Guitar
I will never support the hall of fame until a man that deserves to be there is put there. I am speaking of a man that had 17 number one hits and numerous cma awards. That man being the very talented Mickey Gilley@
I'm a Struggling singer songwriter musician and I fully support The Hall of Fame and Nashville as a Whole I support Indie artists as well I 🙏 pray someday I'll have a musical legacy of my own as an artist
I'm so glad to finally get see the entire production! The individual video performances were great but seeing the entire thing sewn together with the great Marty Stuart's lifetime's worth of inside information made this such a wonderful and special event to watch from start to finish.
This terrific show was filmed live in Sept or Oct 2020. Live music had all been shut down. You see these guys way socially distancing. Great to see how the curators take care of the instruments. Fast forward to Oct 2021, I went to a Marty Stuart concert 2 hours from my home. Fabulous show; one of the few happy experiences I had during Covid (which isn’t over yet). Great fundraiser for the CMHOF and Museum. Thanks, Marty!
It hurts beyond words to see and hear this being played to an empty house, that should be overflowing, but is empty due to the horrific handling of a situation that never needed to happen. The ones who caused such a disgrace will answer forever to God Who created them!
This was livestreamed in September 😢2020 deep in the lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic-such a hard time. This wonderful concert brought the me hope that we’d overcome the Covid virus. We not there yet (it’s 2/5/2023) Marty, I have one of your picks, from your concert @Bethel Woods, NY in October 2021! Terrific experience, one of the few positives I could take from Covid-time - except from the biggest ones, both my husband and I are alive, thank heavens. I hope to make it to a Ryman tour, maybe the RCA studio, CMHOF, ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤ Musicians Hall of Fame Tour - hope to meet Chris’ son, take in all of your Marty Stuart and your Late Night Jam concert, maybe, just maybe get your and the other Superlatives autographs - on my guitar - or my flute. I’d love to meet your bride, too. I am a very beginner and rusty guitarist - just chords from back in the day. But a decent flutist LOL - I really need to find a contadanse band because I think that’s as close as I’ll ever play to bluegrass - which I first saw when I was about 16 at a Smithsonian Folklife Festival 1971 - one of the the first years. Blue me totally away. Marty, I had a 6th row ticket to your show last year but tested positive on June 2, 2022, slammed down with Covid. This is a fabulous concert - even better listening to it it again. Now that’s a great concert.❤ Thank you for what you do, Marty.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
This is SO awesome!!! ...........on the lighter side, this is the first time I've ever witnessed anyone tune & play an acoustic guitar while wearing gloves, lol.
Love Hurts. Rock band Ministry covered the song in 1975 on their album hair of the dog and had a hit song with their version of it. Painful and powerful.
Its so funny ... So many people have know Idea even who Guy Clark is... what a song writer ... Like so many writers they never become famous to the world... But without them so many great songs would never have come to life .. RIP Guy Clark How you're pushing up Home Grown Tomatoes and playing your own New Cut Road .. brother

Marty is a steward of musical excellence. Well done Sir! You are a musical genius and a genuine treasure.
Hello Paige, how're you doing?
Love Carlene Carter and Marty Stuart’s “Will the Circle be Unbroken.”❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

@@FenderTele I believe its a double bender....yes Marty plays the hell out of it but he plays a lot of instruments...
Love all country music.. Thank you!!!❤

Love the old music 🎶
I love the talent and really love the simple way it was produced.

Greatest show on earth....Thanks for it.
What an incredible show1 Although I must admit I watched most of it with tears streaming down my cheeks. So many wonderful memories.
Very special! Thanks to each and every performer.

Absolutely, you learn so much more this way.
Bill Anderson has a channel on YT IN 2022!!!
So pleased to view this video again. Ty!❤
❤see you and The Superlatives tomorrow night Marty Stuart❤

I think the still and quietness, without an audience, made it better. ❤

23:58 Marty Stuart introduces Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell performing “Love Hurts” with Emmy playing Boudleaux Bryant’s guitar!
Never would have thought the songs Rocky Top and Love Hurts were by the same people, not in a million years.
The Nazareth version is great as well as the Emmylou Harris version is great as well.
This is SO awesome!!! ...........on the lighter side, this is the first time I've ever witnessed anyone tune & play an acoustic guitar while wearing gloves, lol.
I love this, it is an important piece of history, curious as to how much money the contributing artists donated as they have much more money than me!,
Wow , Tis is awesome !! ❤
2024, listening and Shazam can't find any of the music
Epic Night.-
Can you buy the dvd of this…..👍
Love Hurts. Rock band Ministry covered the song in 1975 on their album hair of the dog and had a hit song with their version of it. Painful and powerful.
Marty playing Bill's mando .... for some reason my eyes got watery.....
pretty cool!
Mr Bayers is only a musical prodigy but a good good man❤
Rodney's a cool dude
When is Don Rich going to be enshrined here? He is my favorite Country Star of all time.
Lester flatt....the greates all time
No better way to start than Paisley playing Don’s Tele.
Every performance was great. However, Keb stole the show.

As far as I know Keith Whitley is not a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame!!! If he is please post it !!
Finally happened ❤I absolutely love Keith Whitley. He will always be one of my favorites and at the top of my list.
Too bad some of them artists don’t sing what they preach and say they feel about real country music and real country music artist..
2020 a time of confusion
Don Rich's Telecaster🩶
how much better would Reba have sounded with the place filled with bodies
Where's Gene Watson?
I can't believe Johnny Horton is not in. That is almost inexcusable!
"beats her old man with her panty hose", seriously? Miranda, why not just sing Prine's original lyrics?
"Beats his old lady with a rubber hose" - Just like Johnny Cash changed the lyrics to "Sam Stone". Unjustifiable.
Probably trying to be politically correct
Way to f up John prine song
