I remember when Hansbrough and Josh McRoberts were being recruited by the Blue Devils and the Heels. I found out that McRoberts didn’t have half the toughness of Hansbrough. McRoberts was the more highly regarded high school player on ESPNs top 100 blue chip prospects, but His work ethic was horrendous and his attitude was poor. Hansbrough abused him in most every match up between UNC and Duke.
I was extremely disappointed because I’m a huge Duke fanatic.
I hated Hansbrough but I respected him and his blue collar approach to the game.
You guys have to change your mindset on what you consider “A Bust”!!!
Everyone that plays college basketball and is fortunate enough to play in the NBA can’t be Michael Jordan or LeBron or whatever you see as a professional basketball player having success. He played several seasons in several starting roles for a few different teams and he made his living playing basketball. He didn’t have to make a living as a ditch digger, or a plumber or whatever! He played professional basketball! How’s that a bust you Fkn goofs?
I remember the hype on he and jimmer was unreal. Anyone who really knew ball already knew it was just hype
Lots of players were too many to name
Great White Hypes always become after thoughts in the league.
I’m better than him
Yes and Adam morrison at Gonzaga, frank the tank, so many more.
Not necessarily that he was better than Worthy or Jordan, but that he was a better Tarheel than them. I dont necessarily agree, but he is definitely a Tarheel legend.
Yes that's what people were saying about him. That he was a great college player but was going to be a average NBA player
College to NBA is like night and day.
then why did LaVar say the NBA would be easier for Lonzo?
^ and how did that turn out? 😭 Where’s Lonzo?? Out with an injury again?
@@bradleye660 just wait and see when he comes back
Whoi are these people who considered him to be better than Worthy and Jordan? That's just plain ridiculous.
Jordan wasn’t even better then worthy atnorth Carolina
His college career easily could have been better
Says Joe Dirt 🤦♂️
Agreed. Sam Perkins was better I'd take Brad Daugherty I'd take many over him.
He ain’t better than my cousin James worthy
He was tough 💪 Not the toughest, but tough enough 👍
Ok ... but didn't do any of that in the league though 🤕
Undersized big. Most of them stack up well in college but don't do so hot in the league.
What team did you play for?
Ron artest made him popular again
He should have been a better player in the NBA. His talents weren't utilized properly.
Why did he stay in college so long?
What a BUST
Too much hype in college basketball and then they entered the real world and NBA fame is still elusive.
Staying for his senior year to win the chip is legendary!! F the NBA its not a team game
It's always the top draft picks that bust!! On a few live up to the hype
Well, by definition you have to be a top draft pick to be a bust. But i agree with the latter statement, assuming you meant, "Only" not "On"
Bum in the NBA
Yeah but he’s a legend in college basketball though
@@theunknown4407 and Cody Paul is a legend in little league.
@@Handle9 😭💀
@@Handle9 not even comparable you just hating
his sister in law is Brooke bush the RUclipsr lol
In other words he’s a bust
Bro it’s pop-ler bluff highschool like popcorn
Nobody consider Tyler to the greatest Tarheel ever. NOBODY
Who is then
Mike Beasley was better 🤷🏽♂️
BUST
