    so, where can I found a video with instructions on how to set Azimuth (with the optional adapter) and RA and DEC?

  • @stefanaldea
    @stefanaldea 5 месяцев назад

    A video about using this mount would be extremely useful. How to polar align, how to use it with ExploreStars, or ASCOM drivers, or Astro photography tool. Some troubleshooting also would be useful for all sort of problems that might occur due to improper polar alignment, balancing, or tighting the clutches too much or too little. Thanks in advance!

    LOVE your demo. Probably the only person who doesn't throw away the instruction manual 😁 and actually ask the people to read it.
    Why doesn't the Azimuth adapter come built-in to the set up? Does it mean the initial placement of the tripod and mount head has to be only approximate and the rest is calibrated eventually?

      @Kodiakadventures 2 года назад +1

      I saw your comment and wanted to help if I could because I just installed the Azimuth adapter myself. I think they don’t show the installation because you literally have to use a drill to make a hole in the top of the tripod to screw in part of the Azimuth adapter. It’s not quite as easy as he makes it sound but not too terrible either. Just something to consider when buying. Otherwise this is a great mount, quiet, has tons of features and holds tons of weight with no problem.

      @@Kodiakadventures I ordered the full package in one order, so everything came assorted, no drilling no nothing. But surely, the tripod is not made other than soil. The software ExploreStars app, is not something worth to use with an android tablet. I will try asap with a windows pc. The issue here is that there are not many stars in the app to align with. I know nothing about ascom interface, i have to read and try.

    Interesting training with the trainer not putting it together correctly, not mentioning leveling (maybe because the leveller is way off like mine was). And correction the extents do fall out (if the stop is not mounted like in one of mine was) and the reflecting stripes already began to go off when I took it out of the box.
    The software doesn't run on my Samsung S9 or Tab without issues and connecting via PC was exhausting until I made it run by serial connection.
    Not to mention on first live test it stopped while the motor was still running (nothing loosen) and after I successfully survived the shock I heard a klick every second. Just to be clear, no collision happened before or after.
    After sending back the thing, not getting another one but a voucher from the dealer, I'm not shure if I want to test once more.
    I call the software a nightmare, the tripod is crap (as you need soil on ground to get it somehow stable), the length of the battery pack cable is a bad joke.
    The goto-mount-head itself is really great for the money, but the whole package, hmmmm?!?! .
    !!! And everyone be careful what you buy. There's a model without the Azimuth-alignment-Ring (like the one I had), you go crazy trying to align that without this part !!!

    i have the pmc 8 iexos-100 mount. I bought it in month of January was using Explorestars for tracking , i use it on windows 11. It used to skip gears and would just dangle in ra axis randomly, then i changed my connection to ASCOM ( via cdc) it used to give really late response so again tried to connect my scope using explorestars app but now it just crashes instantly when connected to the wifi signal of the mount, when mount is disconnected it launches app perfectly fine tried reseting the mount, forgeting the wifi signal and even deleted all files and reinstalled it but still same issue is happening what should i do?? Thank you.

      I am really brand new to this iExos 1000 device. But i've read a ton of instructions here and there. Try and error was my master. This app doesn't work with windows 11. It works with win10 but you have to go to the app and reset it every time you start using it. Even between sessions.

      Yes that will be fine, I’m using an SVBONY ED 80 and have added a 50mm guide scope with an ASI 120mm guide camera. Had to add another counter weight but the the mount moves it with no issues.

      It works pretty well. I will say the only issues I have is when the mount moves to the position where the the telescope is pointing straight up. Tracking/guiding gets pretty bad at that point. I’m definitely over the limit but it works pretty well until I can afford to upgrade.

    The good impression I get from this video, falls totally apart when I notice all the questions, and no reaction from the manufacturer and producer of this video. Why bother doing a video for RUclips, if you don't try to interact with people. Interaction makes people feel good, and when people feel good, they buy the product. This company need a marketing department. (Which I don't think they have). Product looks good, and I will consider it, along with all the other products in this price-range. 🤔
