I am really glad I found your channel. I am a Black female in my mid 30’s (Los Angeles native) who is ending my own study abroad trip in Valencia City, Spain (9months). This was just supposed to be a short trip to study the Spanish language; but living in Spain has opened my curiosity to potentially coming back and teach. Thank you for the wisdom you share!✨
I moved to a small city in Turkey alone and I'm in my 60's. I didn't have 'rumbles' in my stomach, I had full blown panic attacks, lol, even after I was here. I wanted it, I planned my retirement here for years, but still, being alone in a foreign country is a scary prospect - worth it, but the fear of the unknown is real. Give yourself time and know that it will pass, but it's real when it's happening. And the language thing is real, it takes time to learn a language and quite a long time to truly fluent, not sure if I'll get there before I die.
I love your channel! I have a deep desire to move to Spain from the States and surprisingly while being a recent college graduate in his 20's, I feel very related to the points you talked about and it really seems I am rather embracing an older type of mentality (have a mortgage and other responsibilities and almost no time to socialize) but I feel like I want to start from zero after having pretty much everything here and a stable job. I really appreciate your guidance and it seems nerve-wracking and hard, but I dream of a Spanish-slyle life and getting out of the daily routine
30 and up! looking to do a year abroad starting in Sept 2024 and may even extend that timeline. Spain is my number one choice! Id love to hear from you!
What concerns you about moving abroad?

This has nothing to do about your age but more with your personality. Everyone will react differently
