- As I've mentioned before, Billy Gould is a big influence on my playing and sound. Even as I learned about FNM when Epic came out like most people, it wasn't until to "Angel Dust" that I got hooked.
Recorded directly from my Line6 Helix Floor.
Tuning: EADG (Standard)
Bass: Spector NS2

Not sure Billy used the Zon at that point, it might have been the Aria still. The key to this tone is high attack and good high end.
Spectors can nail almost any tone. They are so receptive to different playing techniques and the eq is amazing
Billy Gould's an underrated and great bassist. For a future video could you cover a Kyuss song like Gardenia or One Inch Man? Or Wilma's Rainbow by Helmet?

That Zon Sonus BG is one of those basses I hope to be able to find and acquire one day. Billy is certainly a big inspiration for me. I believe Billy started to transition to play exclusively with a pick around the Angel Dust period, so it may be some songs he did record finger style and started playing with a pick live…
