Plenty of things can strip away oxidation but most also strip away the UV layer which means the oxidation will return with a vengeance. The safest method is always an ALR Deoxidizer.
Well not perfect, the white lamps are still yellowish, but this is very useful for classic cars, as new parts for classic cars are no longer available in markets!! BTW, nice job!! 👍👍 😊😊
It can be polished, it's a big mistake that you overpainted it, after some time it will matt again and it will need to be polished, but it will be too much of a problem because of the varnish. it is not recommended. Sorry for this comment, I have been doing auto detailing for a long time
nice job dued , i just toguht that the polishing is neceserrly for light restoration . now i m gonna use just sandpaper and cler coating . thanks for sharing
@@frankw9836 He's not claiming to be an expert, I have the same question, actually. I thought the way to go would be 1. Sand 1k and 2k grit 2. Rubbing then polishing compound This doesn't mean I claim to be an expert. So your comment is - stupid!

es una payasada hacerlo con laca cuando ya tiene un tiempo el sol cristaliza y se desconcha la laca que le estás echando y se vuelve amarillo y tiene que volver a lijar otra vez la lámpara un método muy ridículo

Don’t use plastic primer it will f**k up the plastic because this plastic primer shit runs like paint and it’s hard to take off!! Believe me I learned the hard way. Just use cutter and polish. The light looked good after using those two items until I used that plastic primer shit. F**k I’m so pissed!!
