I have been enjoying Liko as a main character way more then I ever did Ash. I liked him initially, back in the original show, but after a while he got annoying. He never grew, never learned and was always a bumbling baffoon. Liko is way more relatable as a character, she's adorable, and has a lot more personality then Ash.
I would say I loved the XYZ ash more than any other because he didn't seem like a 10 years old and acted more mature from the other and that's why I think that's the best series, but I didn't watch all.the episode as a kid watching them at the right exact order was a pain.
Dude I agree so much with your opinions, so let me share some of mine too! I knew I was looking at someone special the moment I saw Friede rush in with his Charizard in episode 1. He and Dot are easily my favourite characters of the show. I'm surprised Dot got that much screen-time too, considering she's not even the protagonist, and was not originally advertised as one (back when the first poster of Horizons came out in December 2022), but she's easily the best of the trio. She would make an excellent protagonist, one who is different from Ash, yet having some similar qualities. I also feel like Liko is getting the short end of the stick in her own show, and dear god, I feel so bad for Roy! He's not only the most underwhelming member of the group (though I like him a lot), but his Pokemon are underdeveloped too. When was the last time you saw his Wattrel, or that you remembered that he has a Wattrel with him? Over all, I have the exact same opinions as you. Great tier list! Justice for Cap btw, I've never seen so much swagger since Krookodile. Following up Ash's Pikachu was nearly impossible, but Cap is absolutely worth it.
Hamber’s pretty mysterious because while he does seem to be the strongest in explorers and second in command, he also addresses the rest of the explorers as master and acts as a butler. wonder if there’s a reason behind that
Although I don't agree with the Zir slander, I think this tier list is pretty good for how the series is right now. 👌✨ Obviously, I love the peak tier, my son Roy up there is all I needed to see 💖
I think we can be glad Nemona and Brassius appeared in the series at all. Because that is one of my greatest worries: Until now, only three Scarlet and Violet game characters appeared in the series (Iono, Brassius and Nemona). That means, we are still missing six Paldea gym leaders (Larry, Katy, Kofu, Ryme, Tulip and Grusha), all four Elite four members and two students (Arwen and Pepper). I know we have seen Larry in the flashback scene, but to me, that doesn't count as a true appearance and I hope we see more of him than just that blink-and-you-miss-it cameo. But now that the series almost reached 1/3 of it's run time, the time to introduce these characters is running out a little bit. Okay, it's running out a little more.
I'm kind of upset by Zirc being the only one in trash but I do agree he is the lowest-ranked character. If going by the anime alone, just casually watching it, he appears way less interesting than Conia and she is pretty low ranking too. But when I went to tumblr I've seen so many post about him, revealing that he's "Muscle of a Ryhdon" who asked Gurumin/Nidothing battle advise and also the one who recommended Gurumin/Dot about the cotton candy which led to Murdock and Mitchell reconciling and meeting Kabu that leads to Roy and Liko getting development and also, getting a supposed lead to Rayquaza but turns out to be Moltres. Had I not read that I'll have a lower opinion of him but yeah, he is lowest.
This may defeat the purpose but I just skipped to the end just to see what is what. I will look over everything afterwards. meanwhile. looking at the list I don't think its fair to make a tier list at this time, despite how many episodes are out now. Mainly because of how we haven't seen the climax of the series yet. we don't even know who will get bigger development while making the comparisons between each characters.
