You know what I find problematic? The fact that the American dream, the idea that everyone should be able to be successful enough to afford a relatively middle class existence if they are willing to work, is dead. It's not dying, it is already dead and being dissected as we speak, just to check for any more valuables the government might be able to loot from it.

The sad thing is that the American Pie series was supposed to be an updated version of “porky’s” which is to a say an R rated raunchy comedy. Gen Z is shocked because they don’t make these kinds of movies anymore. There is this weird neo-moralism about sex comedy. I re watched the movies a couple of months ago. They are obviously crass and sexual, the humor is basic af yet funny. But they are by definition very based movies. They encourage finding love instead of sleeping around, put fatherhood, marriage and lasting friendship in a good light. It's essentially a coming of age story told through several randy and, by the pussified standards of today, offensive comedic stories. They aren't winning any awards for their writing but the message is simple and real.
