@@katie4hillhey i fixed my issue just by doing first step. There were some stories in archive which i wasn’t be able to check. But now i see all the stories.
it didnt work for me. my problem is some of the stories are still in the archive but some arent. i'm so offended bcs i wanna to edit my highlight 🙁

@@flursky I have a solution (I am using Android), but it is very tedious:
1. Click on the grey block that contains the missing story,
2. Click highlight (even the story is still not shown),
3. Add to any highlight folder (I add to a temp one so I can remove later easily),
4. After the story is added to the highlight, click the back triangle, now the missing story will re-appear.
But if you have 100 stories missing, this has to be repeated 100 times. So this seems only worth the effort when there are only a few stories missing.
Mine show up but are all grey and don't allow me to click on them

Try logging out and logging back in. Didn't help with most of my greyed out archived stories but it did at the very least bring back the most recent one

Honestly I wasn't expecting this to work, unsetting and setting saving option back didn't work, but reinstalling the App worked and I can now see the stories that didn't save to archive again! Big thanks.

I couldnt see my most recent archives, so i offloaded the app like you said and instead it deleted all of them.... 3 years worth of stories gone.. Great.

Didn’t work for me. Deleted app. Reinstalled. Offloaded. Reinstalled. Turned settings off and back on. Changed to public. Then back to private. Still years worth of memories gone and none of my current ones are saving either. Reporting the problem to insta every day. It’s so distressing.

The solution. : 1- first you go to settings click on ‘your activity´
then click on ´recently deleted´ then restore your archive pictures, u have to restore it before 30 days or it will be gone forever ( when you delete a story from your story or from the highlights it’s will be deleted also from archive )(next time when u wanna remove or delete a story click on remove story not on delet story)
I was having an issue with my memories popping up. This definitely fixed it.
Anyone have the issue of the stories appearing in the calendar archive but not appearing in the actual achive? I can’t add the stories to highlight 😢

I can watch my old stories only if I added the location to it, so it’s not everything I ever posted, it's actually a minority… I have no idea what to do
That's exactly my problem. I also changed the account type to personal and then back to creator. Doesn't worked either

one of my archive stories just disappeared😭 i tried everything but it won’t come back
My archived stories show up in the setting section where they don’t show up is when I go to create a story, and I use the create section and try to slide over and there’s nothing there. No gift, no on this day., no trivia or any of those other things that are usually there
Didn't work... The weirdest thing is that the story does appear on my archive when I log in from my pc, but not from my phone. Also when I set the archive as a calendar, I can see the thumbnail of the story on the day I uploaded it, but when I try to open it it automatically jumps to the next story as if it wasn't there, but I can see the tiny image, and I can open it from the computer so it has to be there somewhere 😢

Hey my problem with the archive is that it used to show what story I posted like a year or 2 years ago (and on what day that year). I don’t see that option anymore in my archive. Anyone know how to turn that back on?

Not sure if this will work for anyone but it worked for me. I recently had changed my profile account from personal to creator or “professional” and that made my archive disappear. As soon as I switched it back to personal my archive came back. Same goes for business profiles Im sure. Hope this helps someone! :)
Bro you’re a lifesaver that’s exactly what I just did just now and they literally all came back! I was missing story archives from like a month ago but post everyday! Needed one of the post I posted to try and remember something and couldn’t find it so I did all the reinstall stuff but it was happening even on android phone too. Your tip is only thing that worked!

One of my stories is showing in highlights but not in the archive section, it's showing 25 march 2022 in highlights but in my archives, it's not there..but there's one story on 26th march which is not loading

when i click the 3 lines i only get three options not the list that you got and archive is no where to be seen
Go on 'Your Activity' on the list. Youll find Archived posts/stories there. (Im way too late with the reply tho lol)

it didnt work for me man :(( my phone is iphone 13 pro max and my archived story is showing up in my archives. but when i press on it it doesnt work. it is a 4 second video posted with a song. i cant find the song either. so i am guessin its either bc its too short or the song is missing or both of them combined

It didn't work for me. I achieved my story before the 24 hours and its not showing in my achieve at all. Does arching stories before the 24 hours delete them?
for a month now my story archive has been completely broken. it just loads for a while and then shows an error message. i've tried absolutely everything, even logged in from another device and i have the exact same problem no matter what i do, since it seems like the problem is my account itself. i've contacted instagram a hundred times but they never help :(

@@welovebts7 yes, some of them aren’t loading but for the most part they are back. Keep retrying it , it should eventually pop back up

My problem is not missing stories, its the fact that some of the videos are now pictures and i can't play them, i have a lot of memories, is there any way to fix that? Or instagram just stopped saving my videos?

On my instagram, videos in the archive turned into photos... Even featured stories don't work properly... So many beautiful trip videos have been destroyed... 😢
