To answer your question, " Is the time spent disassembling for the video worth it?" Thanks to your thorough and ' well-lit ' videos, I have purchased 3 or more RC trucks. Keep it up; your reviews are among the very best.
As a MINI RC guy, I’m glad LOSI has released these! RTR basher Monster Trucks. Just what people have been asking for. And for what you get, the price is right. It’s not cheap but I’ve had to double the initial cost of a Scx24 to make it like this. I want BOTH (and maybe a KING SLING?)
Im glad you mentioned the price. The liscensing has to be the bulk of it. You can get an Arrma Gorgon for $170 rtr. I know its a bad comparison, but the price of this thing is really had to justify.
Ppl really be upset about the price of this MT 😆 if you can build a cheaper scale MT then build it 🤷 if it was cheap then ppl would complain about its just another fms or they could have done this or that. Gotta love the Internet... Im just thankful that the hobby has another RC to choose from.
I think Losi did a great job on the mini the price is a little high, but I think I will be getting one. Also, you did a great job on your video showing all the metal gears.
Kind of seems like the suspension is non-existent from this video. I know it's a 1/18 but when it lands it seems like it comes down hard and then bounces because the shocks don't absorb enough impact.
Thanks Greg for all of your in depth reviews that you give us because of you I have purchased four RC’s the past three months based on your videos showing the drivetrain of them 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Awesome, can’t wait to pick one of these up! Actually being brushed might be cool in the nose wheelie stands in losi’s vids. Brushless might be to punchy for this and one can always convert to brushless if they desire
I been wondering why theire wasn’t a smaller more affordable scale hobby grade grave digger monster truck out yet it’s 2023 I been waiting for a while now one is here thank you losi❤❤❤❤
Great overview of the mini LMT. Believe me we all like that you go into such detail and take the time to break things down so we can actually see with our own eyes. Nice little truck for sure. 🦾
Huge hit??? THAT THING IS GOING TO FLY OF SHELVES!!!!! this release totally caught me off guard...WoW great job Losi... and of course you to brother for another great video and all the work ya do making em!!😎
Could the problem on the asphalt be solved with a modification? Would like to have one for my son, but he can't nuance the throttle yet. Would be frustrating if it flips over all the time.
Im so happy losi didnt just half ass a truck together like a mini t 2.0 with big tires and a grave digger lid (not that a 2.0 is bad). Im so excited for mine to arrive so I can park it next to my big lmt
The granite grom is $130….. also 1/18 scale and brushed…. And it’s a monster truck.. and it’s also fast for what it is.. I think I saw a speed test on it and it was more than 15mph
I appreciated ypu taking it apart to show us the internals. Im amazed they didnt cheap out on the small version. Its almost the same as the big LMT which is very impressive. The price is high, bit its actually worth it.👍
Yeah I was complaining until I saw it has all metal gears metal gear servo powder coated aluminum frame clip less body integrated roll cage real shocks. Also it’s a nice size not too small like that junky smasher thing. Also it’s light weight so it’s not breaking the body and whatever else first time you use it if ever.
@@logansmith6037 the reinforced diff housing and cush drive. This is the closest I've seen to anyone taking their larger scale cars and shrinking them without compromise
I’ve been waiting for something like this! So awesome. I don’t think it’s overpriced. I expected it to cost more. Officially licensed and amazing performance. Consider the 1/10 lmt being over twice the cost. Thanks again for an amazing overview!
Great video and breakdown of this mini monster, really do appreciate the time and effort you take to teardown the vehicles and show us all the goods so we know what's all there before we buy. Definitely agree with you about the diffs, should have been a closed cup design, the space is there for it and really is my only negative on this. Thanks for your work!
Good review . We appreciate you taking everything apart . Everyone loves Monster Trucks so Its good to see the resurgence . The Big Losi LMT was a bit to much for me so I did a Grave Digger conversion on my Arrma Big Rock that worked out well . Then I needed a 1/24 th scale Micro Grave Digger to match it so I modded an older Kyosho Mini Z Monster . This 1/18th scale will fit perfectly between them both . Just in time for Christmas too . Nice .
The price argument! If you think about it, it comes with steel gears, ball bearings, state of the art transmission, metal chassis, metal suspension links andba license body! Fair game!
Honestly being Losi for 270.... i guess is worth it giving the fact it will last.... a bit expensive for my budget at the moment but definitely is nice.
I love my king sling. This looks like Losi looked at it and thought "how can we make it worse" then covered every base. Smaller and slower isn't a great start.
Well you could say the same about any mini release ever. Scx24, mini jrx series, mini b and mini t, etc. This is not an evolution of the lmt, it’s a more obtainable and portable variation of it.
@@sethsauceda3677 it's considerably less than half the performance and size for over half what I paid for the full size. The price should also scale with everything else. My FMS Smasher was half this price and performs how this should.
@@boduke9428 an lmt costs 649.99. A mini lmt is 269.99. Double that price and it’s 540. How is it over half the price of a full size lmt? If you paid less than 540 that’s anecdotal and should not be used as an argument. Half the scale of a 1:10 lmt is 1:20. This is 1:18. Small cars are never going to be as powerful as their larger counterparts. And for something this scale, you don’t want stupid fast performance. You want scale performance. This would be uncontrollable with more powerful electronics. Plus an fms smasher is slightly more than half the price of this lmt and only goes 5mph on the fast gear. So this lmt is less than double the price and it gets triple the speed..
@@sethsauceda3677 I bought on Father's day sale for $549. My argument stands, the performance of this does not scale to the full size. For the price it should be brushless or the price should be lower. I won't be buying it. Anyone who wants to is fine with me.
The rims being bigger on the inside practically making a monster truck tire a low profile tire drives me mental. Looks very toy-ish other than that huge flaw losi nailed it with the lmt and mini version
I wish it was brushless but I get with licensing and a completely new design it’s going to be this price. So my question is where there be brushless available for it? I know the Mini T has a brushless option but I imagine you’d need a higher Kv here.
Honestly I think this is geared toward the smaller spaces to run like living room monster jams where brushless is to fast for. There’s tons of aftermarket brushless systems for 18th micros so can always convert if wanted
$270? The Granite Grom is $130, comes with the same battery and charger, and is much more upgradable and durable. I guess if this being "scale" is worth an extra $140 go for it. But the regular bashing market doesn't need a $270 brushed mini
@timsgta it literally just looks more realistic and goes 2mph faster 🤣 if that's "performance" to you, go for it. Handles like shit comparatively. Fragile AF. No aftermarket. Just looks cool
@timsgta I have driven them all, multiple times. As well as own the whole Grom line. The LMT literally just looks cool. That's it. Fact check yourself before you make yourself look like an idiot
The small size just seems too bouncy. Especially for $300. Very cool design and parts. The running footage looks very similar to the $25 dollar Amazon Special that my kid has.
Great video love it that you take things apart so we can see whats inside, i dont think you made it something its not as anothet viewer commented, You actually said its a little expensive....Losi is always expensive on all there models, may not be for everyone but i dont think they have to bust your balls because of the price...im not a 18th scale fan myself, but may be cool for inside this winter...Great videi 👍👍💯
I feel the same but I expect more for this price. I can get more of everything from other brands at this price. All but the digger body and that's worthless to me personally. I quit watching monster trucks long ago.

I ordered one using your link as soon as I saw this video! I agree with others that the price should be lower but I can’t resist a Grave Digger!
Thanks for the support! Enjoy it. I had another fun run with it today. The Grave Digger is hard to resist. 😄

Nice job breaking down this cool new little Monster truck Greg. Looks like a winner....maybe add a brushless sytem?
Regarding the differential. Some ear plugs would work wonders locking it up..
There is no diff cups. The only way would be to lock it or weld it. Ear plugs will run through pretty quick
