I love this eye, so real, I'm drawing a black cat with green eyes , do you think the it would be the same colour as this, the photo looks a light green ? thank you for all your good advice. Susan
most likely! I used all polychromos colours for this: Earth Green, Olive Green Yellowish and Dark Phthalo Green :)

Do you ever use a solvent to create an underlayer of tones on which you can use to build up more detailed layers on top?
Jay Dee I rarely use a solvent in my drawings as I don’t really like the effect it gives. I will use a solvent if the drawing requires it, but generally just blend with the pencils themselves.
Does any one else just watch these tutorials and not actually try them?
