My dual citizensship (Italyand America) daughter attends university in Livorno, IT. She took me on a tour of Lucca in 2022 - bellisima! Grazie for this memory.
My wife and I were in Lucca for two days in May 2022. Probably around the same time you shot this. We loved Lucca and will definitely go back on our next trip! Great video, thanks!
@@rokgoesaround No problem. Your videos helped me out planning my Croatia/Slovenia trip last year and I'm using them again this fall for Italy. I appreciate you not just doing the popular cities. Most other RUclipsrs skip over places like Trieste or Lucca.
Hi Rok, I really enjoy your videos. I'm from Serbia and I saw your videos about Belgrade a couple days ago and I must say they are really good. This summer I will be visiting Tuscany so I can visit gems like this one. Keep up with the great work!
Visited many times due to kind arrangements by friends in Pescia. Rode a bike along the wall, which was a great fun. Went up to the Guingi tower many times. My favorite town in Italy. Want to visit again!
3:24 the tallest is the bell tower of the San Martino cathedral (60 metres) in second place, that of the basilica of San Frediano (52.5 metres). Apart from this small detail, all my compliments for the magnificent video 🤩
Lucca is one of the cities most loved all of Tuscany, a stop that can not really miss in a classic itinerary to the discovery of the region. The city can be visited in a day, but if you want to appreciate the best stop for a few days or choose it as a base to explore central or north Tuscany.
Thank you for this wonderful video, Lucca is the next holiday destination, I have to praise you and write you this is by far the best video about the city, I loved the towers and the price you included, very professional and informative, just the part left for bike rental but we will manage. Greeting
I love Lucca so much that i I suggest to my grandson and his wife ,to call there first baby son, my great ,great son Lucas. They visit Tuscany while they were expected baby. This name will remind them of the visit Tuscany and birth place of my favorite composer Toscanini till rest of the life ..love your video. 🇨🇦🇭🇷👍
I’m trying to catch up on your videos, they are all excellent, very informative and beautifully videoed. Another item to note is they are too long. Some people will not sit thru a longer video no matter how good. Based on all of these there are so many new places I want visit. Keep it up!
Love your travel spots - especially Italy (bucket list) - Keep om traveling and posting. btw you ever gonna get around to Sorrento, Capri and Amalfi Coast ?
Great, informative video. We want to visit Lucca when our cruise docks in Livorno, it happens to be a Sunday. I assume shops will be closed but will there be plenty of bars/restaurants open? Also recommendations for a lovely glass of wine/bubbles please since it will be our wedding anniversary. Thank you.
... J'appelle ça un attrape touriste.... Ten months after a great weekend in Lucca (beautiful town, great atmosphere...), I received two tickets for driving in a restricted zone... No particular sign explaining why, the GPS tells me where to park near the town center... So I'm fined 100 euros for passing through this restricted zone, and another 100 euros for wanting to leave the city the next day (while parking in an official parking lot and having paid...) ... I call it a tourist trap....
I spent a day there in this famous town where the great Puccini came from. Definitely one of my least favorite towns in Italy, it is generally grubby and grotty and the locals were rude and arrogant. I can recommend other places like Pisa, Verona and Mantova.

Great job...beautiful footage........if you don't mind, what camera/lens?
Thanks 🤗 Main camera Sony A7Smk3.
No mention of the famous composer and violinist Francesco Geminiani, who also has a statue in Lucca where he was born.
Thanks for bringing him up.
WOW WOW WOW !!!
Thanks 🤗
I swear i had the best cheapest lunch here last year!
Nice.

2019
Enjoyed it better than cinque terre
Thanks for sharing your experience 🤗
Can't wait to visit, my nonno was born there
Nice. You should visit soon 🤗
What is the best way to get to lucca from Florence?
Train

Lucca is nice and all but what's up with all the cars? Completely ruins the vibe when you need to hug a wall every 5 second to let a car pass by...
😊
Il Santo Patrono di Lucca è San Paolino non San Martino ( che è la Cattedrale di Lucca)
Why did you pronounce Lucia as Lusia, Rocco?
Il patrono di Lucca non è S. Martino, ma S.Paolino.
Delafia city.
tuscani no y
Lucca is flooded now
So sorry to hear that. Let's hope for the best.
