Super heartwarming to see Momo more confident than she's ever been in an interview. You can tell she's feeling the love from the fandom and getting lots of support from Su and Moa. Also love seeing Su's enthusiasm and her playful, animated way of speaking coming through fully in English. And Moa, dear lord, she is a perfect being. These ladies are the best.

I’ve been studying Japanese and can barely ask easy questions. As busy as BabyMetal is, they still find time to learn to speak English and answer questions and they do it very well!!! 👏👏👏
The super sweet thing is how humble they are. When asked before about western fans trying to learn Japanese they said they were touched. However they said that fans don't have to in order to enjoy their music. Though if they are genuinely interested in learning not to rush or be hard on themselves as Japanese is a really hard language. And that's from (two at the time) Japanese girls lol.
It's certainly something I remind myself of as I learn it.
I actually reached fluency in Japanese. HAH HAH!

The girls' English continues to improve! So proud of them!
"World" is one of the most difficult English words for a Japanese person to say -- Su often nails it when she sings but still has issues saying it off-the-cuff. She used pretty advanced vocabulary this time! Momoko spent at least a year abroad to learn English THEN got another crash course when she auditioned for Kep1er. Moa is fluent if you ask her about food.

they seem to be alternating between the two costumes
@@chrisharris1522they use these ones only for photoshoots, interviews, and shows in Japan.
For their set at SNW they used the ones with the solid material for the top part.
When they performed with BMTH, it was the first time they had ever used the 'clear' ones in any U.S./North American show
Those are their standard uniforms, the only remarkable thing of them are thei Foils they are made out of. Their true purpose is that they totally confuse the AGCs of modern Smartphones. But this effect is only visible under Laserlight. This effect totally dusappears under normal daylight.

I love how Su looks a little nervous when one of the others is speaking and struggling a bit with the words. She's like "come on, come on, you can do it..."
She has been encouraging them for many. many years, it's clear she feels a bit like a mom, or maybe I should say elder sister.

Especially with Momoko, the baby of the trio at "just" 21. They did a lot of cuts as Momoko spoke, I guess to leave out the downtime as her brain-cell tried to find the words/phrases she wanted until Big Sis Su decided to help her. It's hard to believe Momoko has only "officially" been the Third for just over a year and is not nearly as used to these press sittings as Su and Moa are. Meanwhile Moa the only-child worships Su but not enough to ask for English help.

Su has developed such big sister energy as they've gotten older and it's awesome. The look she gave Momo when she handed the mic to her for Headbanger the first time was amazing, proper "you've got this" moment.
I never really listened or got into them, but I respect the hell outta them for doing interviews like this
Their newest album, The Other One, is arguably the best. But i’ve found I enjoy most of their songs. They’re metal af for doing what they’re doing and not giving a damn about the haters tbh

She stayed in New Zealand for a while. The other two studied hard on the road. Not very many in similar circumstances try this hard to study.
Fluent is bit if a stretch, she has nice pronunciation, the best of them all, but she is obviously nervous and could not find the right words, as usual, she is the shy one 💝 Su on the other hand, she spoke fast and with confidence💪
I think she can also speak a bit Korean.
I don't know if I'd call her fluent. That's a high bar. Proficient? Definitely.
Suzuka may have finally crossed the bridge from proficient to fluent -- it's hard to tell without seeing her in a real back-and-forth with a native speaker. Meanwhile Moa is passable unless food is involved (she's fluent in that case).
@@pajmic666 -- "as usual, she is the shy one" -- This is still weird considering she was known to be not-at-all shy when she was a junior-Idol… but that's VERY different from being in an alt-Idol group where you replaced the most popular member (who retired due to illness) and have to sit for interviews in your second language.
It's amazing how good their English is. Great getting all these interviews and behind the scenes photos. Truly a new Era for Babymetal

You know, mad respect to these ladies as many other Japanese bands wouldn’t even make the attempt. Outside of maybe Miku of Band-Maid & Asami of Lovebites.
English isn’t easy for Japanese learners because of it sentence structure & syntax. Along with honorifics and different levels of politness among others things like Kanji, & Katakana usage.
Su-Metal though as wow!! 🙀💕 She has definitely been practicing a lot!! Loved seeing them make a Suprise appearance with Bring Me The Horizon with Kingslayer as well.
That marks only the second time it's been performed live outside Japan. It was worth me almost getting crushed to see this epic performance in person. Rock on ladies!! 🤘🦊🔥
They are speaking very well. Su is clearly putting an effort to enunciate in a proper American accent. Compared to the typical "engrish."
I compare this to some of the Japanese wrestlers they have in WWE it's a night and day difference. It's crazy since the wwe guys live in America and need to speak in English on a daily basis. Not to mention cut promos in english

Im not sure if they really say some things by themselves either ^ im sure its 50/50. Sometimes its scripted sometimes not. For example the "yuis deperature made our bond stronger" answer was in my opinion scripted back in 2019. Because in later japanese interviews they talked very nicely of yui and in the english interviews the answer seemed very mean and could be interpreted in a bad way. Im sure back then they said it so harsh so that no one would mention yui again. Im hopeful they are still in contact 💗 lol sorry i completly changed the topic it really wasnt my intention!!
@@makesmewannadie647 yeah I get you. tongue in cheek with the earpiece, but they defiantly get fed lines. How they were back during the SK days to now, almost void of personality sometimes is something I feel should change and allow them more freedom. Why Atarashii Gakko are fun, you get to see the actual person not just the persona

I love BABYMETAL' Music but still crazy if they collab with Slipknot I can't really picture it maybe slipknot help them with Producing more heavy sound would make sense but them two in one song hmmmm it's like an impossible task but still if its possible im all ears

@@BlazinNSoulThere were rumours that Su was living in an English speaking country, pre pandemic. Momo also studied abroad in High School in one of the English speaking countries, prior to becoming an Avenger. Moa did High School and College in Japan. That might help explain things.
@@IOOIIIV Well not sure about that in regards to Suzuka. However, I do know it traces back to "The One." Which they orgionally performed at the Tokyo Dome. Here was a statement Su-Metal made at the time on it.
Su-Metal: "Through our concerts and tours, we learned that our music is capable of bringing people together, breaking borders and genres. To symbolize all of that, we decided to sing 'The One' in English. During the recording, it was really hard, but I remember all of our fans abroad learning Japanese to sing along with us at our concerts, it gave me the motivation to do my best in this challenge and the challenge was a success."
This was what really motivated Su-Metal here. So the idea of her living abroad kinda just morphed into urban legend. Momoko could have done so however as her English skills are very advanced. 🤘🦊
