JD is actually a smaller version though, MMs is likely to be slightly taller, faster, and longer w a few additional airtime hills and a wave turn replacing a roll.
Personally, Lech was a little underwhelming. It has its excellent elements, namely the first drop and the excellent airtime moments, but they're just separated by some disappointingly weak inversions and turns which look a lot more intense on POVs. Honestly every time I look at a review of the coaster it doesn't even feel like we've ridden the same ride.
i know, until I we get a more official announcement I don't think its worth mentioning yet. And yes I know that's contradicting since I mentioned the mystery gerstlauer.
I am also very sure that there will be very few new coasters in the next 3 to 4 years. On the one hand there are the losses in 2020 and on the other hand the parks are full in 2021. After Covid, people want to experience something and are flocking to the parks. That is why the parks do not need any new attractions. People come without these expensive investments. We'll have to wait a few years until everything has calmed down again. Then there will be investments in new attractions again.
why are you so certain that Cedar Point isn't getting that Gerstlauer? Cedar Fair doesn't generally like to have construction going on in their parks during the season, and they definitely would not have started construction in the area that is rumored. I would be more than shocked if that Gerstlauer is not going to Cedar Point.
They started land clearing for Valravn started early in the summer of 2015 and Hurler and Mean Streak took two years to construction. Plus Orion was under construction for two years. Cedar Fair typically starts construction projects EARLY so that they open on opening day. 🤷♂️
@@eliasmertens9313 the rumored section of the park is the middle of Frontier Town directly between Maverick and Steel Vengeance, it would be in their best interest to not have this section of the park closed. Your arguments are definitely valid though. The best response I have is Hang Time at Knott's Berry Farm. Boomerang closing was announced in March 2017 and less than a year later Hang Time was complete. it took less than 6 months for ride construction to be complete. Considering the fact that the rumored ride closure is the antique cars at Cedar Point, there won't be very much land clearing necessary at all, as compared to moving 2 flat rides and tearing down the Good Time Theater and turnpike cars for Valravn
@@eliasmertens9313 Also yes, wooden coasters take longer to construct than steel coasters. Orion took around a year to build, but there was still no construction going on during the 2019 season as far as I recall.
Another thing happening right now is inflation. It's well over the Fed's "2%" that they touted a few months back and is really fucking up prices right now. I wouldn't be surprised if we're not gonna see many roller coasters open after next year, the economy is looking much worse than ever before with a pumped up S&P that will crash harder than the great depression if this continues. I don't have high hopes for the future of the industry for awhile, so I'm gonna try and enjoy these rides as much as I can cause they may be the best we get for awhile. Also the amusement park companies are still not handing out dividends which scares me the most, if they started doing those then MAYBE I'd consider the parks to be doing well, but as of now I'm not too bullish on the amusement sector.
Spoke to soon with the delta strain surging :(
Iron Gwazi of course!

0:31 that phone is gooone
cedar fair has no juicy rumors right now >:(
Cedar Fair is currently broke and trying to get all their parks back open in order to pay back debt.
Iron Gwazi?

Well well well... How about that new for 2022 coaster at Cedar Point amiright? Lol

If that new dive coaster is like Valravn I'll pass!

Center point is the best why would you say that
With Biden’s inflation we’ll see what that does to theme parks
The effects of covid will last upwards of a decade imo. Theme parks maybe 2-3 years but in general 10 years isnt unlikely
The pandemic of the early 1900s took about 8 years (or so) for recovery. You are probably right
