    In this exciting episode of Hilux Mastery, we tackle one of the toughest off-road challenges: getting unstuck from knee-deep sand. Watch as the Toyota Hilux's rear wheel gets trapped in a deep rut, testing the limits of its capabilities. We start by engaging the Traction Control System (TRC) but find it insufficient for this demanding situation. Next, we try the Auto Limited Slip Differential (LSD), yet the sand proves too challenging. Despite our best efforts to rock the vehicle back and forth, the rear wheel sinks deeper into the sand. With the pressure mounting, we switch to 4WD High, but the Hilux still struggles to break free. Finally, we engage the 4WD Low gear ratio, and the Hilux powers out of the sand with ease, demonstrating its incredible off-road prowess. This practical session showcases the importance of understanding and utilizing the right features for different off-road scenarios.

    Very informative sir mere pass Hilux hai lekin sand ka pehli baar dekha mene me maharastra se aata hu toh yaha pahad toh easy kar leti hai Hilux lekin sand ki information jarruri thi

      Thank you @torque90. Yeh sand is another game all together. Rather every terrain has its own specialities and therefore different skills/ experience required to tackle each terrain and sail through. I have not yet tried the same obstacles with reduced air pressure and how these modes respond. That is going to be another experiment.

      Sure. Plan is to cover these off-roading sessions in all terrains- Snow, Mud, Sand and slush

    in this situation always use 4L+diff lock

      @Zeddnubb Since it was a training session, I explicitly did not use Diff Lock and wanted to go step by step in terms of practically understanding the individual capabilities. But you are right , in case you are stuck like this, instead of testing limits of each component, 4Low+Difflock should be the way to go.

      No We did not use the diff lock. Left it for another training session. Idea was to try each capability covered so far using a practical session.
