    Where did you cut and shape the legs? That’s the hardest part I find. I see you “blended” them, but when the hair on the legs gets long it needs to be layered.

      Hello Dave, thank you for your feedback and thank you for your question . it's because i am blending the coat , i scissor it . I'm using blender because it have to look natural. Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can help you further .

    oh Kitty! What a wonderful video, answered so many questions and I love your attitude toward Joe. I have an American Cocker named Tanner who is identical to Joe. Tanner is 14 and I want to start grooming him myself.....can you recommend which of all the tools you used should be my priority....example, you used 3 different clippers, multiple combs and multiply scissors. Thank you.

    Thank you for a lovely video ❤️ helped me alot understand. I have few questions.
    How long did you take to groom the dog ?
    Also how long did you take to dry him completely?
    Thank you, love from India ♥️♥️♥️

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  4 года назад +4

      Hello Nikita, thank you for your message. If we do a dog for the Kitty talks dogs video, it takes what longer to groom him. but normally to groom Joe from begin till ending, it takes 2.30 hours. To dry Joe completely ( first with the water blaster , and then brushing with the stand dryer , it takes 50 tot 60 minutes. depending if there are matts or not. Thank you !

    I’ve never seen anybody go backwards on the coat on the back. And I don’t know why everybody thinks it’s terrible to have a line going down the dogs back on each side I think it looks beautiful with my dogs coat shorter on the top and a long skirt around her she looks gorgeous that way and I like the line Straight!

      Hello Joan, Thank you for your message and sharing your opinion . Everybody have their own styles and techniques, and we respect everybody's opinion ; As long as we personally love it , and it's in a lot of respect for the dogs coat and health, there is no problem. it's a lovely breed with nice hair. so that the most important thing. Thank you so much !! Kind regards

    Hi, i'm going to be buying a cocker soon, i just wanted to ask you if you know how much time it takes for cocker spaniels to grow this much thick hair. If we don't want the cocker to have such a thick fur, how many times a year should we have to take him for grooming and hair cut?

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  3 года назад

      Hello , Thank you for your message . we recommend to go every 6 tot 8 weeks maximum to bring your cocker to the groomingshop . if you wait longer, there will be a lot of work to do at once and to keep your dogs coat in healthy shape. thank you in advance .

    Thank you! Another great teaching video! You are an amazing groomer and have definitely raised the standard, God Bless you!!
    I would like to ask your opinion on when would you choose to use thinning shears or chunkers. Is there something you see that helps you make the choice? I have been taught they both blend, but there had to be a need for each for their creation. So what would I look for before hand in making a choice or determination. And what is the desired effect for chunkers. I am looking for precise instruction yet can’t seem to find it. I trust your instruction and would really love the clarification once and for all! Also, if you are ever near or come to Charlotte North Carolina for a seminar, ( I am close to Charlotte ) I would love to come see you and God willing meet you. You are my exemplary example of who I strive to become with my grooming! Thank you again for helping me grow and learn the best way!!

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  5 лет назад

      Hello Amy, thank you for your comment, its always a pleasure to help and advice groomers. From my opinion, it depends on the coat what kind of scissors you can use . We advice to use chunkers on a thick , harder and more volumizing coat ( Poodle, Bichon , Kerry Blue ..). If you have a fine and thin coat we prefer a blender with more teeth. a coat like a Yorkie, even on a English cocker. So any coat can tell you what scissors you need to use. You can contact us any time to help you further . Thank you for watching our videos .

    Why are you peeling the dog soo short on the ears?

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  4 года назад +2

      Hello Jamie. The reason why I am shaving the ears like this, it's because of the breed standard of an American Cocker. This has to be that way. I understand if you find it to short, or some dogs get maybe irritated on the skin, you always can shave this part longer. Kind regards, Kitty

    • @Connie-B
      @Connie-B 4 года назад +2

      The ears need to be able to allow air circulation around their ears.Otherwise they can hold moisture and get infections and yeasty.
