Sounds phasey on my headphones. Maybe because the calibration file is for the AKG but def sounds odd/phase/ hollow. Probably grab the free trial and try it out . I do have Sound ID for my monitors and it makes may room more balanced.

Okay guys....I literally started the trial yesterday and I've been trying to get my low end right on a mix that I'm working on. Honestly, I have all of the waves nx virtual room plugins and none of them work as good as this plugin. Oh my God!!! This will definitely help people that don't have a good room. Honestly you can try it for free. But after trying it, now I'm buying it. And I don't even have expensive headphones. Sony 7506 and DT 880.

Can you simulate car speakers lap-tops etc without this virutal monitoring add on and just sound id?

Yes! SoundID has reference checking for those, the add-on is specifically for the studio emulation!

What do you think of your AKG 240 Mk II ? Ihave a pair and think they are OK and was really p'd off to see the InTheMix channel totally trash them.

I don't use them very often for mixing, but when I did, Sound ID Reference was a life-saver. They're great sounding phones on their own but do have their biases. They're super comfy and great for tracking, but just be careful for bleed when recording as they're semi-open back. Having the open back is amazing for long editing sessions, way less ear fatigue. Though they're not my first choice for mixing, I have been able to get great results from them before! I think it depends what you use them for :)
