As a greek man i want to appreciate that they included "Molon Labe". The 300 movie used its actual translation which is "Come and take them" so it's nice to see someone using the original war cry

@@maritofuentes4690 Something like that. The Persian General told Leonidas to surrender his weapons and his respond was "Molon Labe" which means "Come and take them". He was basically saying "Make me surrender" showing that he was not going down without a fight

Let us take a moment to pay our respects for the Heroic Spirit that struck the first blow against her.
Ushiwakamaru was the one who struck the first damage. In the game Leonidas didn't even damage her he just used his NP to deflect her heat lasers but unfortunately he admitted that his shield can only block physical attacks so he got petrified soon after.

By the way, that spear throw gets stronger the more shields that are left.
In other words, his weakest throw was still capable of piercing straight through what's arguably a divine spirit many times his strength while leaving a sizable hole.
Well to be fair, thanks to pride of the rear guards, he becomes stronger when put into a disadvantages situation. Still very badass though.

@@lunerblade13 he was a man who use his head muscles as well as his body muscles. But in reality that’s just Spartan warfare in a nutshell, they were completely prepared to die if it meant their brother behind them would strike the killing blow. For them there was no greater honor.
That's just counter intuitive, an ability designed to block attacks by depleting shields, also weakens the counter attack because now it has less shields? It should be the opposite, less shield more damage

There are 300 shields, each representing one of the 300 Spartans.
The more that are left, the more that there are to counterattack, and thus the more power Leonidas gains.
Each Noble Phantasm is a recreation of a Heroic Spirit's greatest achievement, with all the strengths and weaknesses that entails.
A Noble Phantasm said to "slay all evil" would likely be very, *very* strong against enemies with the Evil alignment, but be significantly weaker against those who do not have that alignment.
In the Babylonia singularity, I actually used him in the last Gorgon boss-fight. The fact that her hit counts were so high means Leonidas could just spam his NP over and over without taking damage. Slapped Vessel of the Saint on him, used the Atlas Mystic Code, and he became the last man standing in that fight.

Strictly it translates to “Come and Take” there’s no “it” I believe. It was his last words to the enemy king before battle. He was basically saying “Come and get me” in this usage.
DevilSlayer58 It was actually a response to Xerxes’ messengers, who told the Spartans to drop their spears. In response, Leonidas held down the Gates and said “Persians, come and take them.”
It could also be the inspiration for one of the more commonly used taunts, “come and get it.”

I just want to mention one detail they add here when Leonidas helmet shatters he doesn't blink he shows no fear and defiantly stares Gorgon in the eyes till the end not once does he really break that gaze either. She may have killed him but in a battle of wills Gorgon lost.
Dreadful King i think the only ones that could beat Leonidas in a battle of wills is Heracles and gods like Zeus and Ares

レオニダスには不利になるほど力を発揮するユニークスキル"殿の矜持"があるからアレだけの威力が出せたのではないかと。
彼の宝具"炎門の守護者"がもしゴルゴーンの砲撃を防げていたら更に威力が出ていた可能性がある。
なお、ゴルゴーンの石化を受けてなお動けた理由はAランクの戦闘続行があったからだと思う

This was such an awesome moment. One that really made me happy that they made this into an anime. Such a cool final stand. Held his own, delivered a powerful strike, and named his foe before falling.

Such a bad ass series. The fight scenes made me feel like I was there with the sound effects.
Man, I got tears in my eyes typing this. If y'all don't understand how epic this is. My man Leonidas has souls of men that are willing to STILL follow him, and FIGHT for him, after they are dead. If that doesn't prove to you how powerful honor is (it surpasses even death) I don't know what else to tell you.
This is way more epic than in the game. The last stand of a Heroic Spirit who was in the most famous last stand ever should have gone down like this, not just petrifying after pulling a long-distance dash.

Love the fact Leonidas barely had struggled during the 1 on 1, he only lost after his flex of taking the ability after he throws the spear.
He died as he lived, striking the first blow against an overwhelming force

I swear, that last ditch "Taking you with me" spear throw probably qualifies as an NP all on its own
Actually... it kinda is. That spear is legitimately one of his noble phantasms, just not in game
It is an NP that references the spear throw against Xerxes
The spear throw is actually the second part of Thermopylae Enomotia. It's a counter attack that's power is scaled against how many of the 300 shields are left.
Leo or Ushi would''ve put Gorgon in the ground if she wasn't buffed out beyond reason with a Grail
There are not enough clips and reactions to this epic final stand of King Leonidas. This scene always brought tears to my eyes with his cathartic sacrifice.
That last spear throw felt like a homage to the movie 300.

It just made me think, they need to upgrade his 1st skill/NP to have an enemy debuff when he's killed, both in reference to this and to his eventual end in real life, not landing a hit on Xerxes, but causing enough delay to make him reach his demise

What makes him even more badass here is that his Noble Phantasm is only effective against physical attacks and really falters under magic attacks. Meaning he stopped her attack with strength alone. Imagine if Leonidas had a crack at Medusa in our mythos.
